Amazing....I've worked with Photoshop for many years and your video showed me how to set up my workspace and tools for fabric design. Your voice and pace was perfect! Thank you so much!!!
I've been using photoshop for years but I learned so much just from this short video I am amazed! I just got photoshop CC (transitioned from photoshop cs5). and didn't know how to get back to the workspace I was used to. thank you so much. I will look into your other videos!
Thanks for your comments Linda! I try to teach in the manner which I wish I was taught. I'm an artist and I like my hand held when I'm learning something and I feel (and you confirmed) that other artists like being taught the same way. I'm currently working on a class for textile repeats. Hopefully I'll have it up (on Vimeo) in a few weeks. Thanks again, you just brightened my week.
If you take the classes in order they will introduce you to the Photoshop skills you need. If you've never used Photoshop you'll still do fine. You'll just feel a bit awkward at first (as in any new skill).
@@fredericklchipkin1680 Thank you very much, I really do appreciate your fast response. When I read the comments, I found out that you wrote a book. I can't wait to buy your book. I hope your lessons will continue. Are the lessons on the link different from those you posted on youtube? I wish you all the best.
@@butubuta There youtube classes are short samples so you can decide if you like the way I teach. They also give you enough information so you know what the class is about.
Hi Sadia. If you're talking about my classes you can purchase theme at vimeo.com/channels/photoshoptextiledesign . If you're talking about my book you can purchase it at either at origininc.tripod.com/BOOK.htm (my websight) or at www.amazon.com/dp/0972731776?ref=myi_title_dp (which is Amazon). Take care & have a wonderful rest of the week.
I saw that you have a lesson on Textiles for Photoshop Elements but I can’t find it. Does that still exist? I’d like to try that before subscribing to CC.
Hi Karen, Sorry, I have a book on Elements but no online lessons. FYI: Most of the techniques in the PS classes can be easily applied to elements. There are cosmetic differences between the programs and Elements has slightly less tools, however the concepts are essentially the same (and should be easy to figure out).
Hi Rajesh, I'm currently creating classes on creating digital textile design in Photoshop. I currently have a class on color reduction and how to color a design. I'm now working on a class that teaches how to create repeats (square and half-drop which are commonly used). I'm also working on classes for creating plaids, mini bodies, and photodraping along with some specialty classes designed to teach you how to handle more challenging designs. You can find my most current online classes at vimeo.com/channels/photoshoptextiledesign. I also have a book "Adobe Photoshop for Textile Design" that teaches the same thing you can find my book at origininc.tripod.com/BOOK.htm.
Hi Barbara, I know that years ago I would have recommended a Mac however these days I find they're very equal. Whether it's a Mac or PC I would simply get the best you can afford. If you can, I would reccomend a computer with a dedicated graphics card, fastest CPU you can afford and as much RAM you can afford, and of course a SSD (which is commonplace these days).
Hi Frederick. I'm learning Design Textile (i'm from france) and i know that a french edition of your book "the Textil Design with Adobe Photoshop" in french does exist but unfindable on Amazon or others. Do you have any tips where I can buy it ?. Thank you very much. Valerie (it's quit urgent)
Hi Val, It will be on amazon.com in a few days (this Thursday). I'm on Holliday & took the book off Amazon while I'm away. Take note that the French version is a little bit older then the English versions however there is very little difference between versions.
The main difference is that the interface is a little different. It should be easy to figure out especially if you watch the video first (the one on this page). I recommend that you go to the following webpage (on google books) and see if you like my writing style before purchasing the book. Also look at the table of contents and see if the book has the information you are looking for tinyurl.com/y47kqrbz
Your voice is very calming and so peaceful. I would buy an audiobook just for the voice. It's a great gift you have.
Thank you so much!
Clear, didatic, comprehensive explantions. On top of that, adorable english and voice tone and pace!!! Super thank you, Chipkin!

Oh mine! Beautiful voice and diction/annunciation - very pleasant to listen to. I would buy audiobooks with your voice, some fairy-tales.
Wow, thank you!
Perfect guideline of mine
Thank you

Thank you very much, do I need to know very well about Photoshop before I learn this?
