Every time I try to learn Illustrator I find myself losing patience and going back to Photoshop. When I found your channel a few weeks ago I said this may be the channel that helps me stay the course to learn and use Illustrator.
Thank you so much! I appreciate that, and hope that you do stay the course! Once you get past the basic stuff, Illustrator becomes much more fun! You can create some REALLY cool things with the program! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Really helpful! But what about the quality of the what I want to create? For example, let's say that I want to create a print in illustrator no matter how much I want to scale it there is no difference in the final result like Photoshop that may seem to be pixelate. Especially when it's about to be printed. What do you think about that?
@@katerinaathanasiadou146 True. With Illustrator you don't have to worry about resolution. I will say the textile designers I've known or worked with in the past who use Photoshop are also cognizant of the resolution of their art. As long as the resolution is high enough (around 266-300+ dpi; sometimes even 150dpi was fine) there were no issues with scaling up or down. Ideally, when you are creating your new art, you'll want to create it at the repeat size you need OR something smaller that's divisible by that repeat size (and make sure the resolution is high enough so that when you scale back up to actual size, it does not pixellate.)
Hi there! New subby here. I’ve been purchasing a lot of Etsy designs such as the boss girl sticker planner designs & other cool girl planner stickers. To save money, I would like to know how to create these myself. For someone who doesn’t draw, can I create my own boss girl planner stickers I.e people, latte mugs etc in Adobe? Do they already have set figures & shapes for that kind of thing? Hope my question makes sense. ❤ ur content!
Hi, thanks for watching and commenting! And subscribing! I appreciate you:) Yes, you can. You;d most likely use clip art to create them. And there are plenty of sites with free vector art, or you can subscribe to some paid ones (which I would suggest because it has better art). The only thing I would caution you against is using someone else's art that you find on the internet, especially if you wanted to sell your stickers.
Hi💝 I hope you are well? I am sorry to be disturbing you. I firstly just want to really say thank you for putting in the effort to actually be making videos that are very simple to follow. I just wanted to ask how do you make a repeat print on Illustrator? I hope you have a lovely day.🌹
