How can Skarsgard talk like that in real life but make his voice, accent and attitude so... suitable in Vikings?

He is swedish. I think that as a scandinavian/germanic person you can speak fluent clean english, but also rough muddy english with heavy dialect, just like Skarsgaard does in Vikings

Gustaf Skarsgård is a great actor and perfect for floki. hes one of those actors that actually embodies different characters perfectly and does not play the same person on every movie hes in. and if given the chance i think he might even come close to being a better joker than heath ledger.

Gustaf Skarsgard as Floki is fantastic, such an engaging character with phenomenal flare and individuality. He plays such a different character to the rest, one who has more prominent demons and has come to accept that they are his to bare.

Many Swedes speak this well without being actors.
Gustaf Skarsgard played Floki so well that, most likely, if another actor had been chosen to play this character, it might not have been as successful as it was.

+aaron benzaquen America is where the jobs are at if your an actor. all the skarsgårds intentionally studied American English. and the rest of Sweden learn American English from tv and movies and entertainment in general
