Beautifully done. This man is a great songwriter and his covers are always mesmerising. If you ever get the chance to see him live.. do it! Possibly the most underrated artist in music..
Rock songs you generally don't pay attention to the words more the instruments but in an orchestral setting you listen to the words and the words mean something that's why it's so genius. It's so beautiful and organic. I prefer it to the original. Best version ever.
saw him on 24 oct in wexford ireland brilliant he has words to sing and you take from them what you need ,hope i meet him in persone before i emmagrate from ireland again go see him

Tori Amos did a near identical version of this song way way back. I think her version is much better, overall I think Nirvana's version is the best, but then it's probably my least favourite Nirvana song, as it was Kurt's least favourite also. I guess this guy is trying to appeal to the general public though, so give the masses what they want eh? I guess a version of I Hate Myself and Want To Die wouldn't be mainstream enough.
I found this via Trevor Horn, who produced the Jack Lukeman studio recording... My immediate reaction was that it owed a great deal to the Tori Amos version, which was the first cover of the song I ever heard & also the best cover I've heard.

I think we have a Irish Tom Waits ?
Smells like teen spirit is not the best song to remember Kurt Cobain by seeing as near his death he hated and and refused to play the song
