    Howdy Folks!
This is the fourth video from a series where I make a Mini Sterling Silver Vice. I have donated the finished Mini Vice to the Metal Museum for their yearly Repair Days Auction which was held live online on Saturday, October 21, 2023. It sold for $800.

If you're new here welcome! My name is Laura Mullen Vermilye and I am an iron casting metal artist. Being a cast iron artist is an interesting - and at times tough journey, but the rewards far exceed all challenges. While working with cast iron to create my art I am exposed to an amazing community of artists who are as dedicated and passionate as I am. The cast iron art culture is a major influence in my life and on my work and I want to share this artistic adventure with anyone who is interested in seeing hard working people make amazing art with a hot and dangerous material. To do this, I make vlog style videos on this channel that chronicle the artwork that I am currently making and my journeys in Metalsmithing and iron casting. In between casting and metal art videos you may also see some behind the scenes footage of me roaming around the heart of the Midwest and the Ozarks. Thank you to all you folks that are as interested in my small metal project as you are in my cast iron art! Thanks for tunin' in, and as always - I love you.

Hi Thomas Jake, I’m so glad that my videos can give you some company through the tough night! Thanks you for finding joy in something that I’ve made, it means alot to me and any time that I feel discouraged or disappointed by how a video is “performing” I think about you and some other people who have reached out with similar sentiments. I remember that I’m really posting these for you and to hell with the algorithm!!❤️❤️☺️

Love ya kiddo, still think it's amazing how you work with such small threads. I had issues with 5/8" threads yesterday 😂

      Love ya back!!
I feel like threading can give anyone trouble at any size, there are so many things that have to align perfectly for them to work!!😆

Love these videos. A highlight to my Fridays. Maybe you can do a competition w Jason to see who’s vice is more badassed tough and which vice is more classy? A collaboration is needed.

Haha! I would be interested to hear Jason’s opinion on this tiny silver one but he definitely wins the award for being the creative genius that engineered the design in the first place!
And I’m so glad to hear that my videos make your Fridays better!🥹☺️

The workmanship is impeccable. You were truly a very talented young person. Jason, from fireball TOOLS is probably extremely jealous. I’m sure he will contact you about making one for him or at least you’ll inspire him to make one miniature vice for himself.
