Thanks for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate that. And I'm really glad you found the video helpful. There is so much in Restream that it can be easy to miss some of the features.
That's awesome to hear! Let me know how you get on. Restream Studio is pretty powerful, but it's also easy to use. I hope this video helps you along the way. And if you have any questions, let me know!
1. What the maximum length / size of the video? 2. Is there a way to make the pre-recorded video continuously streaming? So whenever a stream is completed, it goes live again without the need of scheduling it to specific times to achieve that?
Quick question, I have Atem Mini Pro and I know it streams in 1080p. I want to start using Restream, but do I really have to pay for professional to stream in 1080p or can I just use the Atem
Unfortunately yes. If you're using Restream to stream and you want 1080p, you'll need the professional plan. The ATEM can output in 1080p but if you want to use Restream to broadcast in 1080p you'll need at least the professional plan. Bear in mind that not all platforms support 1080p (LinkedIn Live for example)
Great video thank you, Question, we use Restream for our live Church service to stream to Facebook and UA-cam. We also have a TV that we zoom into for the powerpoint and music. The audio from the music is very distorted. No audio issues when the pastor is talking, just from the music. Your thoughts?
Thanks! And great question. I assume you're using Restream Studio (via your web-browser). The issue you are getting is due to having "echo cancellation" switched on. This setting does a great job at reducing background noise or echos. BUT it makes music sound garbled. So, you need to switch off "echo cancellation". To do this, click on the cog at the bottom of Studio to enter settings. Then click on "audio" and then uncheck the "echo cancellation" checkbox. This should make the music sound great again. Let me know how you get on and if this works.
Hi I'm planning on doing livestreams from Airports ect, I'm quite new to this, ive been looking at OBS but this one seems much easier to understand, is the free plan good enough to use or is it just for testing if you like it
OBS Studio is very comprehensive in many ways, and it is free. But OBS Studio is also not very easy to use and has some big commissions. The free version of Restream is great to get started with. However, I would recommend going onto the paid plan if you're going to be using it regularly. The free plan has a Restream watermark on the top right, and there are other restrictions. But, good for dipping your toe in the water. Love the idea of doing a live stream from airports. Let me know how you get on!
Sorry for the delay. Yes, this is possible! First you need to go into record only mode in Restream Studio - studio.restream.io/?record-only and then, once you've finished recording, you need to click the "recordings" link at the top and you'll seen an option to schedule a broadcast of one of your recordings. It's really easy. Hope that helps.
Currently, you can't play MP3s directly through Restream. There is a background music option, but this only allows you to play music from their stock library. Another option is to set up a screen share, select "Chrome Tab" and play music via your browser. Or, create a virtual microphone which combines your audio as well as the MP3s. The set up here will depend on whether you are using a Mac or a PC. Hope that helps.
A livestream system is not worth much if people can’t jointand chat with each other at the same time. What I mean with join is that they also appear in the livestream . Any advice of which works like this ? People should be able to choose which user show they want to join aswell
Thanks for your comment. Do you mean giving the ability for people to join directly onto the live stream on camera? If so, that's definitely possible with Restream Studio. You'd share your studio link in the description or as a comment. Personally I wouldn't do this since I don't just want anyone to join me on my shows, but it's definitely an option.
My friend is hosting a show on Restream. I jump on as the co-host. However every time I get on my audio is super choppy and delayed at times. She sounds great on her end, but I sound choppy on every other word. How can I fix that? I’m also recording from an IPad. Thank you.
Sorry to hear you've had issues with your audio? Could you give me a link to one of the shows to give me an example? It's not ideal to use an iPad, but it should still work. The choppyness could be due to a number of things, such as you iPad being too slow, a microphone issue, slow internet or something else. Have you tried it from an other device?
So sorry I missed your question. I don't quite know what you mean. Dan you explain what you mean by "Quicktime" in this context? And you say you're using an ATEM? You can definitely use that with Restream, especially if you want to muse multiple cameras.
@@ianandersongray How to PROJECT IN-House video onto projection screen? Use MAC -Quicktime only? or can I use ATEM to also broadcast to IN-HOUSE video (non-restream)
Great question! You could use UA-cam as a kind of webinar- making sure that the privacy setting is set to unlisted or private, and then embed that UA-cam video on your website. But Restream has a webinar feature. It looks like they have changed their plans. It used to be available on some of the cheaper plans, but now it looks like it's available on the business plan and above only. I'll check!
@@holtby91thanks for your patience. So, Restream don't have a full webinar feature (for example where they handle registration and sign ins etc) but they do have the feature (in the business plan) when you can embed the video on your website.
Great question. Unfortunately, there is no built-in sound effects feature within Restream Studio. You could use another tool like Ecamm Live or OBS Studio with Restream and get that to play the sound effects. But this isn't possible within Restream Studio. The background music feature only allows you to play the royalty-free music that Restream gives you. Really the only way would be to create a virtual microphone that combines your mic and sound effects on your computer. On a Mac, I recommend Loopback by Rogue Amoeba. Hopefully, they'll add this in the future.
How long ago did you record this? I am asking because I do not have the Go Live camera icon on the left navigation. Instead, I have a large box in the center of the screen that says *Start With Studio.* But when I click on it, I just get a spinning disk, and I never get to the place you do at 2:43. BTW, I have the standard plan. Thanks for any help/insight!
Good question, and yes, it's definitely possible. On the main screen there's a "stream a video file" option. You just upload your file, add your title, description and title, then the date and time you want it to go live and pick the channels you want to broadcast it to.
All I get is a black screen when I go live with Restream Studio. I can see myself on Restream, I see that my mic is working, but when I go to my Kick Channel, and you tube channel, I see that I am live, but its a dark screen, and there is no sound.. I talk in my mic, but no sound comes after wards on those two websites. WHy would I get a black screen and no sound?
That's really weird. If you can see yourself in Restream Studio, then your camera is working, and Restream can see it. So, all channels should broadcast your sound and video. It sounds like there could be some bug. I'd contact Restrean support and they should be able to sort you out. Can you let me know how you get on?

Hi. Sorry to hear you are frustrated. I still stand by my claim that the free version is generous. First of all, it is free! There aren't very many free multistreaming services out there.
