I got the peg 39s at the beginning of this xc season and they’re the only running shoes that I’ve used (let alone, have had) for every workout, long run, and race and after like 130 miles in them, I can agree that they are the most versatile pair of running shoes that you can get. :D

Same over here in Europe. Many ppl don't like them, but I always caught myself picking my Peg 39s over all my other shoes, like the Novablast 2 or Asics Cumulus 24. I really like the Peg 39 - also I got these for like 75 bucks.

I've put in over 1200 miles in my pair of 37s and two pairs of 38s. No popping, but I run entirely on the road. Guessing the trail debris is more likely to puncture the air unit. I'm about 150 miles in with the 39s, and I love them.

I’m an eighth grader from Indiana that runs cross country. I was wondering if you could get in touch and give me some tips on running the 3k. I just set a pr and ran a 10:50. This is good, but from now on i’m going to try and run 25-30 miles a week which I think will really help my time. Do you think that is good? Also I was wondering what your time for a 3k was in middle school? Another thing is some good workouts for me since i’m going to be starting running 5ks during the winter? Please answer, because I could not think of a better person to ask than some of the best young runners, L&L.

Just got back into running and got Peg 39. It's probably the best shoe when you're beginner or getting back into running as it's so versatile. I also got myself Hoka Mach 4 which has much smoother transition from heel to toe compared with rather disjointed ride (classic feel) on Peg 39. For me they both make great combo: Peg 39 for ParkRuns, running when it's wet, bit of XC (I mostly run on tarmac), Mach 4 on when it's mostly dry, tarmac, long runs especially. Also Hoka Mach 4 has 5mm drop compared with 10mm on Peg 39: it feels more natural, no rubber on the outsoles, but less durable. All in all I wouldn't have either of those shoes on their own, need both for different purposes and make running more fun, plus you're building strong legs/feet when running in different shoes. As a result you minimize the risk of injury.
But yeah, Peg 39 is the bast starting point. Basically you go from there towards building your shoe rotation (if running is something you want to take further).

Asics Nimbus Lite ( doesn’t matter which model ) is probably a bit heavier but you can run a 1000 miles in them without any problems. I have had 4 pairs and all of them got to about 1700km ( 1100miles ) before I started to see signs of needing a new pair.
On top of that it is very comfortable and you can also do anything in them from easy runs to a hard tempo .

Two problems I see with this shoe that are my pet peeves of new concept shoes. 1 I hate when shoe companies sell you a shoe that relies on the laces to find your support. They should come closer together at the top. 2 i hate the slip on style they have in front. A good shoe to show what I mean by support everywhere is the Nike torch. Recently I had to send a pair back Because the shortened the width up front by half an inch.
