When you do get a gun, try and get a descendant transcendant mod that compliments it, some examples is "Supply Moisture" - Valby, Battlesuit with Sharen = Defense shred, Enzo Supply Firearm Transcendant mod - Weak point / Crit , Gley with spell duration on her 3 for more ammo on your gun, etc etc, I'll go more into build videos in the future. I learned absolutely nothing from this because I'm 350+ hrs into the game, but I still liked the video because it is helpful information for people who need it. Great video.
Another tip: If you catalyze your sub module slot on your descendant you get 5 more capacity. Can help a lot while leveling. It's not required, but helpful for sure. If you have spare catalysts. Also, Barrier deactivation missions are really nice for farming, too. Constant enemy waves, most have multiple Elites which means more mat drops, great for gold, weapon proficiency, leveling characters, etc. :) Thanks for the vid!
Wish i'd watched this video when i started, wasted a lot of time and resources figuring stuff out. Everything you said is 100% correct, and i think it would be the most efficient way to progress.
That’s always the frustrating thing about these type of games, haha! With all of the changes they have made, at least wasted resources feel less bad than it did at launch (improved drop rates, etc.)

As a guy who put his descendant first, he is speaking facts. I screwed myself going into hard mode, well actually on hanged man. Dying never was an issue, but I couldn't pass aby dps checks with only an activator on a swarm with fully upgraded modules focusing on damage and weak points. Just maxed my ThunderCage and got 4 catalyst into it. It has made a world of a difference for me to have a close to maxed gun.
There was a random person i was farming the falling hope with in one of the white gulch missions, i am amazed he recognized Greg’s shooting pattern and sound….he whispered me to change the settings to auto fire and boy that made Gregs 100 times better So it was cool to hear you recommend that same thing and along with the rest of your tips makes you way more trustworthy as i can actually map out my progression way more efficiently so thanks for a great video
Additional tip: if you're starting out, you're likely on skill-based Sharen so if you plan not to use shot focus at all, get a Blue Beetle. Your skill cycle would be: stealth-> skill 1(kills reset skill 2) -> stealth-> wait for passive -> ult -> stealth. You're gonna need the blue MP recovery module for this plus MP recovery on your accessories. Easier ad clear on outposts with less risk during solo runs.
That Change fire mode detail is so critical because I never understood the hype for Greg’s and thought it was garbage even with maxed fire rate mod 🤣 thank you for that
I’m currently at mastery rank 24 with basically all ult descendants, ult guns, maxed out Greg and enduring legacy but even tho I spend so much time on this game there was something’s I learned from this video that I never knew about 😅like the setting for burst firing. That was a total shocker to me ❤️

Two words, build bunny. She can easily farm most if not all hard mode content at just 2 or three catalysts with an energy activator. I was able to farm everything I needed i hard with not even investing a single catalyst in bunny.
Just a general comment. If a player know what he wants, they are likely gonna be searching with the right keywords and not looking for a general guide. I suggest less of the “depending on what you want” but categorize what people want and point them to the general direction. You’ll quickly find that there are only a few routes that are 90% of what new players go through before really diving into specific builds.
Enjoy the way you present your content, hope to see you do other games too. Maybe Black Myth Wukong or Monster Hunter Wilds in the future??? * hint* *hint* ive moved on from tfd, the rng is just so bad

I pretty much keep anything that double rolls legendary stuff and put it in my storage, the main thing is just getting a reactor to match w/e gun you're using for the initial big stat boost and then later you can work on min maxing for the stats you want so like Damage to collusus for bossing, skill cooldown, skill critical damage, etc
I'm in the transition of getting into hard mode bosses. I need 1 part for the Enduring Legacy and 1 part for Ultimate Lepic. These parts are stuck behind the first two hard mode bosses and RNG. For Ultimate Lepic, I've have cracked open 20 AM's and 17 of them were Eseimos parts. Now, I cannot imagine having such RNG when I'm getting Enduring Legacy. What do you think about the weapons and descendant damage types? I'm farming Ult Lepic to kill hardmode Dead Bride - due to fire damage. I've noticed I lack damage on other characters. Even my weapon rolls are good - but still the bosses don't melt like you see on the videos.
The first 5 hard bosses are just gun check, what gun are you using? And are you doing it solo? As long as you have 2-3 survivability mods on your descendant and a catalystd gun like the TC or the gregs you shouldnt have any trouble downing them, i would have to see what you're running to give more advice, as far as the bosses like weaknesses, it can for sure help to use a descendant that is strong vs that type but its really not necessary, for example a built bunny with TC can easily down exectuioner even though hes strong to electric. A lepic can down pyromaniac etc, it all comes down to your weapon, once you get EL itll be alot easier cause the mag size with SPS or Mental focus giving you atk %, but again if you dont wanna farm EL gregs is really good

A little bit, i havnt logged in since Changli, ended up getting her weapon and 1 copy of her and then havnt touched it in awhile. Might go back to it eventually but nah right now im just playing TFD
Catalysts are easy. Activators are a different story. Out of the 5 decendants I've grinded out for free, I've only happened to get 3 activator blueprints(This isn't counting the 2 you get for free which I put on my Ajax and Thundercage).

Got Gold firearm atk, crit rate, and crit dmg with toxic attack on my TC… kinda want to try to reroll the toxic for collosus dmg or chill… just because idk how good or bad toxic is. Should I?
That kinda depends, do you have another bossing weapon? If you're just trying to prog and you want to use the TC for collosi then yeah you're gonna want collosi damage, and or you could also opt in for weak point damage, ideally for bossing it would be - Firearm atk, crit dmg, weak point, dmg to collosus
@@fartdonkey8290because it’ll be good for mobbing regardless of the rolls on it, trash mobs die with pretty much any weapon if your TC is modded out to the teeth the rolls don’t matter anymore because it’ll still one tap the mobbies yknow? especially with gley or lepic builds :3
You can build a little bit, usually ill do 3 hp components and 1 defense component, HP is just much better value unless you're playing a character that relies on it like ajax

If i were to reroll any of the elemental attacks on my weapon, does that also make the weapon apply the status as well? Ex: give electric attack to thunder cage will apply electrocution on enemies?

You rarely ever shoot with Bunny, always be levelling weapons and not stuck with the thunder cage.

The thing I’m struggling the most with is reactors. I never know what ones to dismantle or keep. They overwhelm me
Fire reactor that has a gold toxic and chill attacks is a big bruh moment (Wish they address that)

If your character has a singular skill try to get a reactor that has a singular in it. Same for any character that has a tech, fusion, dimension.

Just use ultimate bunny, she's by far the best. I can boss kill with her, I hit devourer for 1mil crits

If they want us to play more characters, then make the catalyst and activators free. Easy. Or at least make them easier to get.

Try combining duplicate gold mods and maybe you'll get lucky.
Combining mods or just running the same missions over and over sadly, hard mode gives you an extra % drop on it

Def imo honestly kinda sucks. 13-50k defense you feel just as squishy. Hp 10k+ you can get hit and not be a glass cannon

bruh have lvl5 Enduring Legacy, i did 22 amp059 runs and didnt get a single blueprint beside 7 energy reactors.
Damn bro thats super unlucky, hopefully RNG turns for you and you can get some soon! At least at some point those energy blueprints will be useful!
