Next time when making the end plates mount the template to a table and then use a straight cut router bit and it will be a exact copy

You should see my work. Now I’m doing new spray. Chopped carbon fibre and the end wings Iv cut out the rx8 letters and fitted leds inside so turn on with the side lights so different

I always just use a jigsaw. But a band saw could do it
I am gonna be "that guy" and say you should cut with the thicker side of your straight edge. This way its harder for the blade to skip off the edge of the ruler and eliminating the potential of cutting your fingers too.
