This looks very fun and I'm a big fan of the sounds and the colorful environments. The only thing that I think is pretty lackluster is the level backgrounds, they're not too detailed and it sometimes looks like it clashes with the foreground for how stylish and well designed the platforming environments are.

Rye himself mentioned some time ago that he's not a fan of making music, and I don't mean to offend his work, but I can honestly hear that. I understand that as a solo indie developer he's unlikely to have funds (and, perhaps, the will) to hire someone, but I guess it's still gonna rub me the wrong way. But apart from that, the game looks interesting, and I'm looking forward to its release.
I can clearly see the Rayman inspiration, and I'm loving it. The basic yet memorable artstyle, the different costumes/abilities, the fucking eggplant guy This game surely looks well made
It never fails. You make a fan project based on an IP, and then a few years later, you make your own IP resembling that fan project, but it's definitely legally distinct. I have nothing against it, though. Your work on that other one was pretty good.
