    Everyone is praising Julianna which is fantastic, but how amazing and lucky are the girls to have a mother and father like Judy and Benji to teach them such important morals, that Julianna has learned in this video. Truly breathtaking, so happy for this family

      The credit on how kids turns out to be surely goes to how & who brought them up. In JB & the twins case..it is not just Judy & Benji, but also their grandparents, aunts & uncles. JB really has a gentle heart, she is wise beyond her age because of these people around her, she learn from the best teachers.

    Julianna is in the Early Childhood developmental stage (ages 2-6). At this stage in development, children do actually begin to feel empathy and sympathy. As stated in one of my Child Development textbooks, empathy "serves as an important motivator of prosocial, or altruistic behavior -- actions that benefit another person without any expected reward for the self." "When parents are warm, encourage emotional expressiveness, and show empathetic concern [...], their children are likely to react in a concerned way to the distress of others." Julianna herself felt empathy and sympathy for those children. Those actions were her own, at her age it is scientifically proven that she is capable of having empathetic and sympathetic feelings without being prompted or told to. Judy helped to put her feelings into words, yes, but that's what she is supposed to do as a parent. Julianna felt the initial emotions, because she is capable of them on her own, and Judy helped her understand them better.
    Showing Julianna the video and being honest about the ways of life of those children was not "bad parenting." The images shown were not graphic, or horrific. Why would it ever be a good thing to shied kids from things like this? Personally, I think Judy is a wonderful mother. Judy and Benji both give so much; they know how much they have as a family and how lucky they are (Judy has stated this multiple times), and how they feel it is their purpose to give back anything they can. That compassion is now rubbing off on their children. Judy is teaching her children at a early age how important it is to be aware of what goes on, to be grateful, and to give. Tell me again why this is a bad thing?

    To every heartless soul out there. This is how you teach kids to be grateful. Judy did a very good job. Juliana might be very young but she understood. Her mom explained it to her. I see a lot of people saying Juliana can't understand because she is too young. Look she has eyes like everyone else and she has a heart and a brain. She see's whats going on. Unlike most of you heartless people that need to go back to school and get your eyes checked so you can see the message that is trying to be explained and learn what being Grateful of what you have means.

      I agree 100% you can clearly see she understands and has compassion and emotions when her mother explained things to her. people think young kids won't understand things but that isn't always true. so to heartless people who think otherwise needs to go to another page and stay there because we don't need heartless people in the comment section. beautiful family! ❤❤❤

      At 3 years old, children have actually learned a lot about life and their brains are very developed, already starting to form memories as a matter of fact, and they have the ability to understand compassion and empathy. The people who are commenting negatively about Judy showing JB the kids in the Philippines probably grew up being coddled. I think it's great that Judy is teaching JB to be grateful for what she has, especially at this time and age, when many children feel entitled to luxury.

      I have never seen a kid give so much. That there is what I call good parenting with great values. Doesn't matter if she's too young to understand, in fact they understand way better than us. They don't see ppl by the color of their skin like adults do. They just want to give unconditionally. Something we adults should do regardless. Too much hatred going on in our world and in a place like that, it's good to know that they are kids being brought up with values rather than being handed electronics.

    I don't understand where people are finding a reason to hate on this video and the lesson that Julianna learned here.
    We are all born with compassion, and a wide array of emotions. Our environment and upbringing tells us what to do with those emotions, and where compassion is deserved. Judy is teaching her daughter that she is blessed and very fortunate to have her resources in abundance. She's old enough to understand that some children don't have the things she have because they are less fortunate. She acted of her own compassion, because she has been raised to feel capable of making a difference where she can. Judy explained to her that it's important to share what you can with people less fortunate. It's the same principle as her teaching Julianna to share with her younger sisters.
    People are acting like Judy showed her graphic images of malnourished and abused children, or the dead bodies of children who starved.
    Calm down!!

    Those who posted hateful comments grew up as spoiled brats, not knowing how to share and give to other people. It's better to teach your kids how to give to the needy at an early age because they will carry it till they get older. Thanks Judy for teaching your kids morals at a young age.

    • @lorrainechen424
      @lorrainechen424 8 років тому +14

      I agree, the ones who are posting negative comments most likely grew up getting everything they asked for, or are teenagers who still get everything they ask for right now, therefore, don't have the right to say anything about anybody's parenting methods.

    • @PRT95
      @PRT95 8 років тому +3

      I agree.
      I swear I used to be a bratty soul, but that's not a reflection of me anymore. I'm older and more well-versed the world, yet I still have a positive mindset. If I can pass that onto my own kids, along with compassion and being thankful, I'll be the happiest mama on the block. But I have to work on myself first. ^^;
      The negative comments are most certainly from those who got everything they want and were never satisfied, those who still get everything they want and yet are never satisfied, or hateful old hags who are either childless or have caused their children and grandchildren to move away as far as possible from them due to their character, so they shouldn't talk.

Love. Love for the unfortunate people living in the third world. A toddler's heart is so pure, and if they can uds this, they will definitely grow up to be a good person, and that's what the society needs. Not parents teaching kids about racism, about hating and killing and being selfish, but rather, teaching them to be selfless, to be content with what they have, and give more to the unfortunate. Love you Judy and JB., and thank you, for teaching us a valuable lesson today.

    This makes me so sad. My parents and grandparents were born and raised in the Philippines and were dirt poor. They sold food on the streets as kids and went to bed hungry every night. My father used to tell me that my great grandfather used to tell my father to boil hot water and drink it when he was hungry so that he could trick his stomach into thinking he was full. Thankfully my parents were able to find a job in America and establish a life for themselves here. They gave me a life as a child full of being spoiled and loved, but also unaware. Looking back my childhood, I was disgusted with the fact that I used to throw tantrums over toys I never needed when my family starved on the streets and never had a bed to sleep on. I wish my parents did this when I was younger, I wish they would've shown me what it is like in other places where people don't have the things we have.

Thank you for teaching your daughters how to be appreciative of what they have. I am a preschool teacher and see ever day when my students are not appreciative of the toys they get to bring to school during show and tell, don't eat their food even though I know they are hungry just because they don't want to try something new, and when they cry just because their parents say no to something they ask for that is not appropriate in the moment like getting candy.

      The heart of a child can be so loving. It's the adults who do not raise their child to love others that is the problem with this world.

    Why cant people just be so happy to see a nearly 4 year old girl, being so kind and giving and wanting to help people who are not as lucky as her? It is the sweetest thing and all I see in the comments is how she was 'overdramatic' or 'trained to say that'.

    After watching today's vlog about Benji talking about Julianna, I just have to rewatch this again. I've watched JB grow ever since she was a toddler. She really grew to be someone so precious and amazingly beautiful inside and out. I'm blessed to stumble upon your family and be able to get a chance to have a glimpse of your daily life. You bring me so much happiness and I aspire to have a family like yours in the future. Thank you very much Judy and Benji for sharing your life to us.

We should NEVER underestimate the way they think. Majority of the time, they remind us that humanity still does exist. Everyone in the world is proud of what you have become Juliana! And congratulations to you and Benji! Whatever your children manifest shows the kind of upbringing you do with your children. Thank you for this episode! it's a proud moment for every mom when a child understands something like that early in life! I taught my 8 yo and 9 yo last year that we need to help those in need. I taught them that because my neighbor didn't have money for Christmas last year so we bought her girls gifts plus wrapped old coloring books that weren't used yet and colored pencils. the kid lit up they were so proud

Growing up in the Philippines we weren't wealthy, still to this day my grandma and my mom's siblings are struggling, luckily my mom has found a job here in america and im the only grandchild that's out of the country and living such a great life! My parents and grandma tell me all the time that out of all my cousins im the luckiest one to live my life now! And every time we can, we send them balikbayan box and it makes me feel great when they send us pictures of what they got and it makes them happy and it makes us happy too! If only i could help everyone in the Philippines i would have done it by now! And its great to see you helping children and families there! I just love all what all you do! 💓

    For those saying Julianna doesn't understand what's going on, you're wrong. I can remember being her age and seeing those infomercials of the starving children in China or Africa and feeling incredibly heartbroken. Because children do not understand how complex poverty and famish are, they feel even more so that they can do something to help. When you're an adult, you're so much more pessimistic and "realistic" that it shrouds your ability to feel or want to help. Julianna genuinely wanted to help and felt sincere emotion, which is more than you can say about most adults. I would have cried too! Plus, how many children have you seen be so stingy over their toys/things?! It's incredible for her to be so selfless at her age...

    I wish my parents had inculcated the spirit of donating in my sister and i when we were growing up. That's not to say that they were unkind or didn't donate to charity, but that there was a mentality of "money is enough to give them". What you're doing is teaching your children that material belongings are just that: material. Understanding that there are people worse off than you will teach them the value of gratitude.
    And for those who say that JB's being coached, or that she'll forget this in time .... You know what you can do with *YOUR* time? Go help out at a local animal shelter, coach kids who can't afford tuition, or donate. If you have time to write proper insults on UA-cam, you have time to teach some kids grammar. Seriously!

    I haven't been able to watch any of judy's vlogs in so long. But when I decided I have time to watch it and saw this video it brought me to tears. The fact that Judy is showing Julianna that there are kids out there that have much less than a lot of us have is the best lesson in the entire world. I remember learning back then at the same age as Julianna. My mom use to say that I should finish my food because there are kids that don't have much to eat or appreciate what I have because they have less than I do. Judy is doing it right. this is just so touching and it brings my heart to joy that she wants to help. Ellen should most definitely see this.

    Juliana touched my heart...when a child that young feels sympathy for other children who are less fortunate and wants to help by sharing her own clothes is soo touching!!!

    I think when Juliana grows up she's going to do humanitarian work, like charities and missionary work. She's so compassionate at such a young age

    THIS is how you know you're raising your kids right. The fact that JB's only 3 years old and already has such strong feelings of empathy and compassion for her fellow man brings tears to my eyes and tells me her parents are raising her wonderfully. Benji and Judy, you guys should be SO incredibly proud of yourselves; you're raising wonderful, giving, beautiful young women who will hopefully have a great impact on this world one day.

    Oh my God, this little girl has such a big heart, such a heart for people. Waooow, the sky is the beginning for her. Bless your heart dear little one. I don't get to see this everyday. I am mesmerized. I am tearing up really. What child will give without thinking and even forget about what she has given out. Kudos to the parents

    For a little child to understand the suffering of others and want to give is so heartwarming and it actually brought tears to my eyes. Your such an amazing mother who teaches her child amazing values. So inspirational.
