Her store has them mispriced (lucky because they should honor it at that location- their mistake). The 4 weight skeins are 9.99 not 5.99. Way overpriced. Or it’s 7.49 right now with the extra 25% off, which is what the website says too right now. Kind of funny she caught a big pricing goof. Because hey, I’d buy it for that price. But not 9.99 or 7.49!
I only have a couple of friends who crochet. Before I started watching UA-cam I never realized that some yarns were better for knitting. I didn't know that what you see on the labels would look different crocheted. Since I buy yarn with a project in mind I never really cared what the label picture looked like. These videos are an education. Thanks.
It doesn’t bother me at all that the colors of yarn worked up shown on the label isn’t the same or similar color to the yarn itself. It does show what the yarns work up to look like.
That big chunky yarn I used my zippy looms and made a little lap blanket. Not my favorite yarn, too thick and hard to work with in my opinion. I used a mainstays brand of yarn, 5 skeins I think is what I used.
The thing that made it hard was joining each skein. No matter what I tried either the knot was too big or it did not feel secure. So, if anyone has ideas on joining the skeins of these bulky yarns I am all ears! @@AffordablyCrafty
You store has the Eddie Bauer mispriced. It’s 9.99 which is insane. My store had these out over a month ago somehow (and they grew their yarn aisle so big they had two long aisles of more yarn in a different section of the store- sharing this because I know you’ve remarked and a lot of us have been watching our yarn aisles shrink so I was SO happy!). They had all of these out without prices and they weren’t even up on the app at that point so I hauled them all up to the front to price check them. Was absolutely appalled about the Eddie Bauer. Pretty colors but they’re so rough and you don’t get a lot of yardage. Did you see the Juicy yarn or the Local Grown wool from Lion Brand? Those all showed up together at my store, must have gotten their stock out early. Those are both pricey too, the Local Grown shocked me but all US grown wool so 🤷🏻♀️ but as I recall it’s going for like $15 or 16 so like LYS territory. That said, did your store sell the EB to you at that price? Ooh especially with the extra 25%. They should honor their mispricing. But it’s definitely 9.99 or 7.49 with the 25% (that’s how it’s priced right now online too.) And I’m positive the larger yarn is mispriced too but I don’t know the price of that one off the top of my head because I had no interest in it. I’d so pick those up for those messed up prices though. 😂
Great to see them and get your thoughts. I don’t have a Joanne near me. Only a Michael’s. I made my brother a blanket with Wool Ease Thick and Quick. He loves it. Someone inthe family suggested another. I think I might stick with the bulkier yarn. Still mulling it over.
@@beachgirl7598 If you can get to a Joann’s there’s a bunch of the Thick and Quick Wool Ease on clearance and they’re still running the extra 25% off clearance in store (what’s left, if any, online is selling for more, with all their clearance so I wouldn’t recommend buying it that way). Might be worth a trip if you can make it. Clearance has been out for a couple of months now though so depending on the store not a lot of selection left at some but the thick and quick has been hanging around from what I’ve seen. I may have spent half my summer driving all over to hit Joann’s clearance 😂
Thank you for taking us along. I like the scarlet.
loving the EB colors!!! as always, sweetie,,,thanks!!!
Thanks for sharing!!! Have a great day!!!❤
Good price on the first Eddie Bauer , might have to go feel it

The last one would probably be great for plushies or baby blankets
I like the pink and gray
I like them all but I’m drawn to the pinks. I think you got either green or gray.
Lovely yarn, still no Joanna in my town because of the flood. I so miss going into the store and touching the yarn so I can make my choices.
I got woolease during this sale but I ordered online to pick up to save 20% extra percent.
Marled yarns seem to find a way into my cart
I’ve use big chunky stuff for a pillow cover will bobble stitches. Still soft and squishy even a few years later.

No word of a lie, I was at JoAnn's today, looking at these yarns, and reading the ball bands in your voice 😂
You could make a scarf or cow. I know I spelled it wrong but my brain is tired lol.
Love marled yarns, like the pacific blue with the marigold. At Joann exclusive also is darn good yarn same as on their site, for pricing.

Don't knit. There's one crochet pattern with this on their website 👎 meh
