    I do this very often but the after a while I felt that the first layer of dough (the one underneath the yogurt) was a bit soft for my taste so I started putting the first layer in the oven for 20 minutes on its own before putting the yogurt mixture and the second layer and it turned out amazing.. Been doing it like that ever since.. Amazing job btw. Thanks

    This is my absolute favorite recipe ever. I have made this cake once a week since the first one. I have added a little change and it has been marvelous. I did the lemon zest on week one, week 2 I did a butter flavor, week 3 was strawberry, this week I am doing almond flavor. I am using imitation flavors, only in the dough portion. I add 1/2 tsp of imitation flavor prior to adding the flour and baking powder. It just adds a little something. What I love most about this cake? It is a wonderful sweet without overwhelming sweetness. Excellent with a cup of coffee. Thank you so much. I look forward to trying more of your recipes, but right now I am stuck on this one! next week is coconut ;)

    I made this today! It's in the oven now. I am gluten free so I had to use gluten free flour so we'll see how it turns out. I noticed as I was mixing that my yogurt was quite a bit thicker than hers. I will update when we try it.
    ▶️Update : It was very easy to make. It was very good! My yogurt was much thicker so I would probably add a little milk or cream to thin it a little but it still tasted good. It was almost the texture of cheese cake. While I was making it I thought the recipe didn't call for very much sugar so I added a tiny bit more. I think I still could have added more. I really liked the crumbly topping. I have never seen that method of freezing the dough and then grating it. Very clever. For my palate I would have enjoyed a little more sugar in the crust as well. Thank you!
    ▶️ Another update : my husband and I nibbled on this dessert for a few days. And with each passing day I found that this dessert became even more delicious. 😁

      it works with almond flour from BJ's (the grocery Store) also, add 1/4. teaspoon of zanthum only if you have it just for the crust

    I made this recipe and it's so delicious! All I did differently was use a little bit of lemon juice instead of lemon zest and then I put the first layer in the oven for a little bit before adding the rest!
    So yummy! Thanks for the recipe

    I just made this and had a piece. It’s delicious. Very light and tasty without being overly sweet. I only had about half the amount of plain yogurt that it calls for, so I substituted sour cream for the rest and added a teaspoon of vanilla to offset the sourness. It worked perfectly. This recipe is a keeper!

    Thank you. Made this today and it is incredibly light and pleasant to eat. Just one note. The dough calls for 80 grams of butter or 1/3 cup. 1/3 cup of butter is 40 grams, so this should be 2/3 cup butter. I used the 80 grams and it worked fine.

      @@nigattila4832 I have found a tablespoon is around 15g of butter or margarine. I use a tablespoon for easiness to scoop out when bread making and it has always been this weight. The same if I use olive oil too.

      U could line the pan with parchment if its a problem. Otherwise just cover with a plate turn it upside down then another plate on top and turn around again

      She grated it on top of the cream filling , after it was in the frig and it set up. Or you could grate it on a plate, and then cover the cream with it.

    I made this yesterday with yuzu peel instead of the lemon. It’s fabulous after a night chilling in the fridge. It came together really easily. I’ll be making it every yuzu season.

    it's simple and can be done at home. I've always liked to do everything in my kitchen. so warm and happy. enjoy a moment with your loved one instead of going out to a restaurant.

      Hi! I've opened a channel two weeks ago during the second lockdown in Italy... I publish simple recipes for food intolerance( without milk, eggs, butter , vegan ecc...)and traditional italian recipe. I'm also using the channel for exercise my( basic🙈) English by adding subtitles... I hope I didn't bother you, if you're interested I'd be happy!🤗🇮🇹

      @@Colazioneconthe you did fine...recipe was easy enough to follow. Don’t listen to those that complained as their computer and can easily get the US measurements conversion...that’s what I do. Also, I write out the recipe beforehand so I don’t need to keep going back and forth on the computer. Keep up the good work!👍

    My husband and I have a variety of food sensitivities. I made this gluten free with olive oil in place of butter and with kefir yogurt, which I make. My husband loves it and the top looks professional! The middle was slightly under done, so next time I'll bake 40 minutes. We'll be enjoying it again on Thanksgiving Day!
