I really hope this series continues. The way you explain Japanese is so helpful. I will have to read the rest of Yotsuba on my own as best I can, but I just love the insight and nuance these videos provide that a translation isn't going to help me with.
(im)patiently waiting for episode eight of this series to come out. This is amazing and surprisingly, I'm sort of invested in what happening with yotsuba
I hope this series continues on. I'm reading Yotsubato on my own and have gottent to around chapter 25 or so. With a little bit of help from a dictionary, I'm able to understand a lot of it, but its really helping having someone walking through and hitting on grammar point that are glazing over or don't understand.
i started reading this manga right now... being 6 months into my selfstudy of the japanese language... at first I felt discouraged because i wasnt able to understand the particle nuances but thanks to this i feel a bit better. sad to see you did not continue this series but it really helped me gain more confidence. So thanks a lot for your work here!
This series is/was so helpful. Yotsubato is not that hard to understand but there's a lot of "non textbook" ways they say stuff, so your explanation really helps to understand everything in a way translating it using a dictionary cannot.
One amazing thing about your teaching is how you explain common (and uncommon) patterns in grammar!! You give many examples of how something is used in similar words and even cultural nuances. My brain is not used to learning new languages by now, so this is really helpful to point out all the patterns and show examples in a way that is far more engaging than textbook.
This series is amazing. A great beginner resource that has very in depth explanations built in (And explained well might I add), while maintaining the fun of reading manga! I can’t wait for the next episode.
Awesome 🥰 will be patiently awaiting for the next episode. I seen 100~ chapters of yotsuba in english before, but those nuances in japanese rly add spice to it (especially to the comedic aspects)
Hi! Just writing to say that your series has been a huge help for me when reading Yotsubato in Japanese! I was wondering if you have an episode 8 planned to wrap up the first chapter :)
Thanks for the great work! It's really helping me with my practice. How can you select the text from the images? Did you buy a digital version of the manga or downloaded from somewhere?
Heh, in my reading I got stuck for a solid several minutes when she asked Yotsuba which school year she is. Because Yotsuba answered about her dad I googled and wondered and was absolutely puzzled what did I not understand :D
I am Polish. Japan saved 765 Polish orphans in 1920 and 1922. The orphan was in Siberia. Japanese continued to rescue Polish orphans in Siberia. The smallest orphan that Japan saved was a two-year-old child. Polish orphans were sent to Japan for treatment. Japan fed the Polish orphans a hot meal every day. All Polish orphans have recovered. Japan continued to love Polish orphans very much. All Japanese donated money to save Polish orphans. Polish orphans were always smiling. Japan has successfully returned 765 Polish orphans to Poland. I will not forget this story. Thanks to Japan. God bless Japan.
It's cool to see this series being continued.
"Soon"
Please go on :(
