Thanks, I am pretty quick out at CMP. The GT2 was on another planet. I haven't been in a run group that quick at a HPDE. Even NASA Time Trial groups are typically slower.
@@BeastZL1 Quick indeed! I was there last weekend in my N/A NC Miata (180whp) and was turning 1:46's in intermediate. I'm hoping to get into the 45's next weekend :).
Nice work! Sounded/looked like a lot of understeer. Honestly not what I would have expected from a ZL1. Thinking about getting back into track days after a 14yr break and figuring out what cars make for fun track cars these days.
Thanks @samuel harris, I have the car setup for a mild understeer bias. I found faster laps with the car/driver that way. The ZL1 1LE package has a factory adjustable sway bar and front ride height adjustment, so you can tune in oversteer bias if that is your preference. The ZL1 1LE is an epic performance bargain, although supply and demand has jacked up new and used prices currently.
If we keep doing a lot off track days we are bound to meet up somewhere I’m waiting to hear where the guys we ran with at CMP are going next . Hopefully they come up north at some point . They had mentioned the Glen Awesome track
This is the porsches backyard of playtime, but for a Camaro not bad...great vid either way and it seems no one had any accidents which is always a good thing 👍🏼
Just got the car it’s stock just a set of cup 2 Rs . It was my first time at Carolina and my second track day with car . The car has good power but definitely does not handle like my 3RS that I have lowered, suspension work and track alignment. I wanted to drive the 2RS stock to get the feel of it It’s got power but handling was a little loose . Time was 1:35 but now I’m going to start some mods slowly If I can get this car to handle like my 3rs
@@SG-dk9if Wow, man! You are getting around. Have fun. I'm hitting CMP with NASA TT this weekend and then heading to VIR for the Racing for ALS Dave's Race 3 supporting ALS TDI on May 28th. www.racingforals.com
That GT2 is just on another planet! Great work hanging with the GT3.

Next time down there I’m going to take at least a field goal off the 1:35
Damn this looks so fun! After I twin turbo my 1LE I’ll start heading to track days lol, I probably already should go though
I would recommend tracking the car first at stock power levels. It will take a lot of driver development before more power will make you faster.
I don't have a Camaro ZL1 1LE yet but I will agree go in stock form first. You will see adding aftermarket power will bring heat issues to any car.
Silver Greek here, great time and whether at Carolina and most important a bunch of awesome great guys there it was worth the 900 mile
Awesome car and driving SG. Sorry we didn't get to introduce ourselves. Can you share your lap times and any modifications? The car is wicked fast.
