I really can’t get over how lovely your voice is. It’s such a pleasant timbre, and your inflections are slight enough to both evoke the emotion of the story and still flow undistruptively to people dropping off to sleep. Exquisite work! Thank you for using it to help the rest of us sleep!
@@Bongwater33not everyone has the same feelings about fictional horror as you. I've been reading horror stories before bed for 35 years and never been worried in the slightest.
I won't listen to/use any other channel beside yours. Your voice and your stories are the only reason I am able to fall and stay asleep. I choose a long story (4+ hours) and let it ride. I never remember the story because I'm asleep within minutes. Only a few stories I've listened to while remaining awake. Thank you so very much. You're such a calming presence, even just over the internet. Much love.
I was just noticing what books (I adore books) you have to listen to, and Dracula made me chuckle. Certainly a classic story, but so humorous to fall asleep to.
Is there a version of this without the rain sound in the background I love the voice and I need to study the book but the rain is distracting and ik its for bedtime reading but I've been searching all over UA-cam for the perfect voice to read the book, and your definitely the one🙏🙏
All books are available without ambient sound and start that way. I'm considering bringing those versions here too. I believe Dorian Gray is available on the audio version (Spotify, podcast apps) And every single book is available on Patreon.
One of my favorite books ❤ tyvmuch I haven't read all your lists of books. Can you do the murder of Edward Delacroix AKA The Green Mile. Have a nice week. #15👍🏻 ❤
This story is just next tier. Oscar Wilde is one of my very favorite authors/playwrights. His humor and descriptives are just on point, and his observations on life hold up incredibly well. Just lovely.
@@bookshelfhoney After this, I also recommend you read his play The Importance of Being Earnest. If you’re into late 19th century humor, it’s hilarious 😂
Gosh, I had to stop listening to this book. He’s such a bad person so far that it hurts my heart. I’ve wanted to read this one for a while, and I actually think I own a copy. I just collect books that I promise to eventually read and most times it takes ages to get to them. I figured I could work while listening, but he’s too much for me. I don’t have the mental space for people like him rn. I’ll go to another one of your audios for now.
Peace some may agree. However, I like an African accent at bedtime. From whence we all came; its comforting like on the Black Panther. This was quite cool tho🎉. I always liked Dorian Gray. Tall, dark, handsome, yes, that's the voice for me ❤😊😊😊

why would you want to listen to creepy or scary stories when you try to fall asleep? Isnt that just nightmare inducing? You should read calming and uplifting stories for bedtime!
I am prone to nightmares. When I listen to these kinds of bedtime stories I'm asleep within a few minutes and for whatever reason, it's not as if my brain is dreaming about what I'm listening to because I never remember the story and my dreams never reflect the story that is playing at the time. In fact, when I listen to stories, I have no nightmares. When I don't, it's more likely I'll have one. He is so calming and his voice is just so soothing, it doesn't matter the story. It is always good.
