Can you guys pls react to Phineas and ferb after this series
Ayyy
React to sausage party
The keys to solve are hidden in the episode...look for a key symbol, and the word is next to it.
We will never forget your brave sacrifice, Big Henry ✊😔
R.I.P Henry😔
You won't be forgotten
I salute you Big Henry
I remember watching that when it came out, my parents were so confused why it happened and wondered why no one brought it up again 😂
Best John Henry parody I’ve ever seen
@@TheZorginator1 and a parody of Big John
Gods, The Big Henry and Gas Leak gag might be my favourite funniest moment in Gravity Falls.
As Calvin put it: " This is fucking ridiculous."
Him tearfully pulling out the scribbled drawing is where it crosses the absurdity threshold and I lose it. It's so sad, man literally died to transport a golf ball 2 feet. Hilarious.
pretty sure he's a reference to both "Big John" (from the country song about a miner that sacrificed himself to help other escape a cave-in) and "John Henry" from the Disney short. It's supposedly based on a (mostly) true story. Basically a guy dug a tunnel through the mountain and ended up dying after he finished. For more info on John Henry I recommend checking out John Solo's video on it, he does so well at telling the lore of old stories in an interesting way.
@@kittiesice love the legend of John Henry, there's a good Johnny Cash song about it
@@kittiesice yes big bad John!!
Me: THIS IS DARK, MAN
This episode might boast one of my favourite one-liners of the entire show - "Pacifica's rich, Mabel. She's cheating at life."
It’s too relatable…
Probably why people ship them lol xD
@@khoailang9470 no, that's because dipper and Pacifica became legitimately close friends
@@theoledicktwist6247
And soon, lovers. Yup, I ship Dipcifica.
It was actually Matt Braly (Creator of Amphibia) who wrote Big Henry's death that it disturbed Alex
Knowing what happens in Amphibia…yeah that checks out.
It's so random, and so dark. Just dying, alone, in a gas filled mineshaft.
and for practically no reason, too. Big Henry was gone too soon
And because of the Dutch Lilliputtians, Big Henry’s sacrifice was in vain.
"There's literally no way you can drown!"
Is this the most funniest line in this show followed by the splat HAHAHAHAHA
Overdramatic French people, am I right?
😂
Fun fact: the Liliputt-ian who's saying "I don't speak French" is actually saying, "I don't know what; dammit, goodbye!" 😂
So you're not wrong but I want to mention that sacre bleu literally means holy blue which is used as a euphemism for holy God so it's like saying darn over damn
However swear words are ranked differently in French and that means they consider religious swear words worse than bodily swear words like we do in English so it's closer to saying fuck or shit but a euphemism to make it not as bad
So you're not wrong I just think it's really interesting
@@gummysnacksandknives9229 french moment
Two of the best moments in these reactions:
- The “backwards message”
- The (almost) simultaneous spotting of the key word
💯
Which backwards message?
@@Macapta on the Bill Cipher episode, S01E19.
@@ironforged2329 thought so, but there a few backwards messages in this show, had to be sure.
I'm so glad they saw one of the key words this episode, it was getting really hard not to tell them what to look for.
I don’t know jack shit about the ciphers. What does a key mean to the code?
@@emrald9963 basicly its the word used as a refrence for unscrambleing the code
Big Henry died for nothing

How dare you, Mabel!
The episode's commentary track not only confirms that Big Henry is no longer amongst the living but reveals his origin story as well
Big Henry was created by the episode's director Matt Braly as he was concerned that the comedy peaked too early with the Sick Burn joke. Alex loved the scene but was worried that it was too dark.
Matt Braly would go on to create the Disney Channel show Amphibia, which has some surprisingly dark moments.
Yet, Amphibia still refuses to take itself seriously, despite the fact that the stakes are now higher than ever before.
@@valentinkambushev4968 Amphibia is a comedy show first and foremost, though. It just happens to have very strong characters, development arcs, and some dark plot moments to keep the formula from getting stale.
Also, not everyone reacts to traumatic events the same way. Anne may have been chipper and upbeat after what she's seen, but it's probably a coping mechanism to keep her focused on the bigger goals rather than fall into the overplayed trope of "protagonist breaks under the pressure." The main theme of the show is personal growth into your best self, so dwelling on the negative, destructive moments too much might undermine it.
@@alexschott2092 honestly as awesome as "True colors" was I think it did a disservice to the show. It was too serious and dark for a comedy show like Amphibia and after it the episodes of season 3 seemed (to me at least) stupid and out of place. I am not saying to show is bad, far from it, but I think "True colors" actually damaged the show, rather than helped it. But that's just me. Tell me what you think!
between Big Henry and "the water is shallow, there is *literally* no way to drown!" this episode is hysterical
I legitimately yelled out, "my boys," when they found the key. I was way too excited.
And yeah, it's hard to beat Big Henry. One of the best bits in the whole show.
Its amazing how Season 2 shifted audience perceptions about Pacifica in the best way possible. She was intentionally written as the stereotypical shallow, rich, image-obsessed female bully at first, but then ""Golf Wars" happens and we start to see deeper into her life. Her father offered no words of encouragement before her match; just a threat of not damaging the family's reputation. When Mabel offered to share her tacos with Pacifica she was genuinely confused, as if the concept of sharing is completely alien to her. These are just a few indicators that Pacifica's life isn't one of happiness and luxury.
Which makes her treatment of Mabel and the others after escaping the course more impressive for her character growth. Despite being raised to not show any signs of generosity or weakness to others, she lets her guard down somewhat and chooses to share in these simple childish moments of fun and kindness. It still isn't much by those with a normal, healthy grasp of human interactions, but its a start.
And then she's back to stereotypical rich girl by the season finale. Disappointing.
@@Melkac While I agree it was a bit of a missed opportunity, it still didn't break my suspension of disbelief. She'd only just started trying to overcome years of mental conditioning from her parents and events of the finale certainly didn't help things. It makes sense she would fall back on some old habits because they might offer a sense of control and normalcy for her when everything is coming undone.
That said, she still stayed with the group throughout the final conflict and even celebrated with Dipper and Mabel afterwards. Not to mention the supplemental material confirms her family's financial decline also forced her adapt further by getting a job to support herself. She also fondly thought about the Pines twins often until their next Summer. Those are definitely things the old Pacifica would never have done.
The best redemption arcs usually aren't straight lines, either. There's often relapses, mistakes, and other roadblocks, but the characters overcome and emerge as better people. I'd say the finale was the end of Pacifica's first phase of her redemption arc. While fans can only speculate on what happened next for her, the elements are there for us to imagine a Pacifica that continued to learn how to be better (while still retaining some of her trademark sass).
@@alexschott2092 Also, I imagine season 1 Pacifica probably would've had a lot more complaining, and also would've protested against touching McGucket.
Honestly, I think the lighting of the Dipcifica flame REALLY put Pacifica in the audiences’ good graces.
20:55 ah such a good moment when they finally find it 😂
Also love how Eric and Rick both had the same idea for keyword at first but in different way
8:38 Probably the greatest joke in all of Gravity Falls! RIP Big Henry.
I'm surprised they didn't think of Stan with the "the man downstairs" thing. That was the first thing I thought of.
me too, really surprising.
While Season 2 compared to Season 1 is more story-driven this time, I also like how they manage to squeeze in some 2-3 episodes that harken back to the earlier Season 1 episodes of Gravity Falls, "The Golf War" being among those episodes.
Overall, this was an enjoyable episode especially since you got Patton Oswalt (Remy, Adult Adam Goldberg in The Goldbergs) providing the voice of Franz of the LilliPuttians.
On top of that, I love how you solves one of the Keywords in this episode.
I knew you guys would really click with this show’s sense of humor
Calvin actually always does such a good impression of Grunkle Stan
This show has been so more enjoyable watching it as an adult
I feel like I wouldn’t have even liked it as a kid. Especially with how we had to watch shows back in my day.
"THERE'S A KEY!"
Boy I couldn't stop laughing from that xp
When the show was airing the community on the internet was surprisingly fast to find the solutions, which is why in second season they made the codes more difficult
I swear this show and Blue’s Clues taught us to think like no other show.
Big Henry was such a random addition to the episode, and I’m all in for it
The way I just realized what the license plate says… interesting indeed.
Yup, it was even visible in early episodes
"There's literally no way to drown"
**Falls face down in puddle of water and lay still** 😂😂
Never realized how funny this episode was until watching it with the crew😂😂
I watched this show when it first aired and I have NEVER noticed that key symbol before! All these years and Gravity Falls still finds ways to surprise me!
big henry's sacrifice gets me every time
It was sad.
I will never get over the absurd cleverness of "The name makes more sense written out than spoken." XD
Kraz and Xyler are Mabel's 90's dream boys she imagines all the time
RIP Big Henry - gone, but not forgotten 😔
Gone but never forgotten. RIP Big Henry ✊✊
The Key Word is a word that is hidden written in the episode with a little drawing of a key next to it. The word shifter was on a barrel when they first enter the bunker and you can see the key marking next to it. If you go back to that episode you’ll see what I’m talking about. That is how you can tell a random word written in the show vs the Key Word.
YESSSS! I just got to the part of the video where they find whatevs!!!
you gotta let them figure it out themselves
I didn't know that, I wasn't really smart enough to solve ciphers when I first watched Gravity Falls when it came out. 🤣
RIP BIG HENRY, NEVER FORGET HIS SACRIFICE
I was waiting for their reaction to Big Henry since they started this show.
Man, the Miners deserved that sticker. Mabel’s just wasted it.
Dipper: Pacifica is rich, she’s cheating at life.
Me: well, damn. That does make a pretty strong case
Dipper gonna be a socialist.
Though by the end we realize that just because someone seems like they have everything, they may be struggling with things you don’t see on the surface level. Sometimes those with everything are doing worst than those with nothing
@@captainpep3 I'd still argue that people with nothing will suffer more in 99% cases
@@anusaukko6792 depends on suffer, some people with more suffer worst mentally because when you have everything, what’s next? But when you have so little, you appreciate the things you do get more often. But I do agree that poor would overall suffer more than the rich, but it’s complicated
11:26-11:29 “Why is there a loop the loop?”
“Reasons!”
Hahahahaha! Moments like this are why I watch these sorts of videos.
Saw it on patreon but had to see the big Henry scene again 😭😭
As someone who's been in a wheelchair all my life, can confirm, Calvin looks like he's in a wheelchair
Pacific has one of my favourite arcs in the show. That's saying a lot since the character growth for all of the characters is SO good.
The Big Henry scene is still by far my most favourite funniest scene from this show! It's so dark and random especially when they cut away back to Mable and Pacifica!
That number one follow by "I eat Kids" and the Sweet Maria song! Also Soos "there're alot of stars tonight" was funny too!
Xyler and Craz as medics was hilarious 🤣
When they found WHATEVS on the wall I was so happy. I love their reactions to this show so much. Keep going guys, this is going to be one of the best reaction series Blind Wave will ever had.
The key for "widdle" is at the beginning of the Scary-oke episode when we get a quick flash of Gideon in prison, there's a carving on the wall of "widdle" with the key above it just like in this episode.
This is a really fun episode that breaks up the plot heavy stuff really well.
You guys absolutely have to watch Between the Pines after this, it’s an awesome behind the scenes special from Gravity Falls about all the secrets and stories behind/in the show
It’d be super cool if they reacted to that!
This is probably my favorite episode of the entire series. R.I.P. Big Henry you may be gone but you are not forgotten. Oh and Calvin you are 10,000% right, that is indeed Nathan Fillion as Pacifica’s father.
And so begins the Pacifica redemption arc, the single best wasted character in Gravity Falls. (I corrected the spelling error lol)
Yes, she does have a great waist.
I don’t normally want to be that guy, but why in the word r u bringing up a cartoon character’s waist?
And yeah, I wish she appeared in 1 more episode post Golf War to have Mable and her fully bury the hatchet before we got NWMM
Best waist indeed
@@AlfredEiji I know you are making fun of the original comment, but the character is a child, so you look like a predator for making this joke.
@@ma.2089 It was a joke on the typo the comment originally had; “waisted” instead of “wasted”.
20:51 glorious moment for the entire crew!! 😂
I've been looking forward to this episode solely for the big Henry reaction. That bit was so funny for no reason
Big Henry a legend we will never forget😔
Me: Can I go now?
Gravity Falls: *NEVER!*
These videos go from a nice calming chatter to AHHH MY EARS
10/10
7:41 every time me and my friends play a game where we are in a car, without fail someone says this line and everyone bails out car no matter what we’re doing 😂
This episode has imo the funniest gag of the entire show with big Henry. Never fails to make me laugh
This still remains to this day one of my favorite episodes
Hearing all those phrases that were in the end pictures again... It makes so much sense. Omg. I can't wait for them to react to a certain episode!!!
I just realized that Big Henry is a parody of the song Big John by Jimmy Dean. Go take a listen, it makes it even funnier. Oh and yes that is the same Jimmy Dean that makes the sausages.
As reactors it’s good to see you actually put some effort into your videos
06:41 As I was thinking that he looked like Nick Cafe, Calvin said it!! 😂😂
7:59 Yes Calvin, that’s Nathan Fillion
this might be my favorite episode in the series the voice cast is just amazing! lol
“We’ll have to break in…JUST KIDDING LETS BREAK IN!!” 5:27
I'm genuinely crying over Big Henry I didn't think I would again
This episode had me in tears.
Henry was a hero, it's a metaphor for us that we humans serve things bigger than us and even die for it and most likely the gods are just kids playing golf
I think this episode is one of the best episodes of the entire show. Many funny moments, along with some dark humour moments.
I watched it live, so I remember the days I watched theories and translations from Vailskibum. That was the only thing I had to comfort me during long stretches of release dates
I think this is my favorite episode. I love when the high voice comes in "But there's nothing like a hole in one!"
Ohh I'm so glad they caught the key naturally, so they'll know what to look for in the next episodes.
AND OH BOY I'M EXCITED FOR THE NEXT ONE!!!!!
"JUST BEND INTO A U!!!" LMAO
I love these episodes in S2 that focus on one character (Wendy last episode, Pacifica this one) even if they don't advance the overall plot, we know these characters are probably going to be helping Dipper and Mabel in the end so these episodes are showing how they end up on the team. I think that's why none of the S2 episodes really felt like filler to me. Pacifica is my fav :)
I just noticed that Stan's license plate says STNLYMBL, or Stanleymobile. Nice little hint there.
Justin Roiland (creator of Rick and Morty) and Alex Hirsch (creator of Gravity Falls) are good friends and the shows were supposed to crossover at one point. The first episode of Rick and Morty even had an easter egg of what happens later in Gravity Falls
Episode 10
Big henry the man you’ll always be remembered rip
Tupac said, "Legends live forever."
You the greatest legend of all Big Henry
I absolutely love this episode and I'm glad you guys really loved this episode too. It's one of my favorite episodes of season 2.
I'm glad you guys enjoyed this episode because for some reason a lot of people don't. I'm also very proud of you for finding the keyword this time! I cannot wait for next weeks' episode: as a kid it blew my mind.
Arguably the funniest episode of season 2
Can’t wait for episode 11
this has to be my favorite reaction by far
Here's a hint. The key word is usually hidden somewhere. And it has a symbol of a key to the left of it. For example, the key word, "SHIFTER" was on one of the large toxic waste cans in the second episode of this season.
20:52: YUP!
This is probably my favorite episode on gravity falls
FYI: The keywords for the ciphers are always written somewhere hidden in the show, typically along with a key symbol. I hope it helps because they are so freaking hard to find.
You guys need to go back to episode 1 and in the background of the giant knome fight you can see the time traveler.
The car plate says "Stanley Mobile" when he said that his name was Stanford....
Stay tuned for episode 11
I remeber noticing that myself as a kid back in the Summerween episode and thought it was weird. That was the gateway to finding videos of theories about 'you know what' in the time between season 1 and 2 and I was so happy when it payed off this season.
Around this time when the show was actually being released there were theories going around. And Alex Hirsche(the show creator) got wind of the theory and purposely released a "leaked" frame that made people believe something else entirely
Big Henry's death is simultaneously hilarious and sad as shit
Kari Wahlgren who voices Pacifica's mother also voice's Rick's ship.
So excited for the next episode reaction...
I really enjoy the pre episode banter, super fun to see
Big Henry could be a reference to the folklore of John Henry and the song Big John, two large men who died in a mine or tunnel. John Henry was killed when he outraced a steam drill while Big John died while saving 20 men in a collapsing mine. They are two miners honored for their heroic actions within each story
i like how no one noted Eric say “let me look at the pictures” 🤣
Right off the bat, Pacifica steals Mabel's paper without being there herself.
The Miners deserve that sticker the most
Definitely one of the funniest Season 2 episodes.
Next up, the possession that caused a whole fanfic for some reason… I’m not gonna explain it because (A) I don’t know how/why people came up with it and (B) I don’t wanna spoil it.
In my mind Big Henry lives! He will never by forgotten. RIP BH :(
I love that moment when they found the Key.
This was hilarious! Never forget Big Henry!!
