if you want to listen to polish rap i would recommend starting with Paktofonika - Jestem Bogiem and i highly recommend checking lyrics with translation, it's a good, deep song with the feel of Poland in the 90's

About songs covered in this video, most of them are hits that are very known till this day and they also bring nostalgia to younger generation since they remember it from radio in a car (peak place with good music)

Think of music, like language as a virus - you get a band that are massive in any country and sooner/later people start copying/absorb it. This is the most popular stuff, so VERY mainstream, but you can hear prog-rock to disco, to 80s synth stuff into grungey kind of a sound. Kinda depressing how bland a lot of this stuff is - not Polish but, mainstream music in general across the world is all sounding very similar at a surface level - sure there's plenty of bands/artists out there doing interesting stuff, but that's never the mainstream. Poland's got a pretty good death metal scene with some top-tier (in a global context) bands - should do a video on that, I bet everyone would enjoy it 🤣🤣🤣

There are different genres of music in Poland. Rock, pop, folk, disco Polo, etc. some of the artists now produce Latin sounding songs as well.
