my heart is with you. my little ray of sunshine passed on 11/3/22 and I've been trying to fill the hole he left with videos of zebra finches and trying to take care of the wild birds outside. it's hard to move forward sometimes, but it helps having something to do that keeps his memory close. 🧡
Great question! It takes a lot of patience, but you can do it 😎👍 Check out videos by this lady, she's awesome. This link will help you get started. Best of luck to you! ❤️ ua-cam.com/video/ZjZIF-knzU0/v-deo.html
It depends on where you live. In the mid-west in the U.S. I've seen them for as little as $30 at pet shops. I rescued mine from a nursing home. The parents were kept in an aviary & no one there knew what to do for the babies. I did, & took them home.
My birds love watching other birds too! Since covid-19 lock down started, I've been getting a great amount of views. If I start making videos more often, would you be interested in watching?
Glad you asked, great question! Kitchens are no good for your birds & birds are not good for kitchens. Things we cook, spices, smoke, can be harmful. If they are out of cage can get hurt on stove, knives & other stuff. Birds aren't good in kitchen because they throw seeds/food & splash water you don't want on your counter, appliances or food that is out. Hope this helps 😎
I rescued a lot of sick birds for a while, with a variety of health problems that turned out to not always be treatable. Sadly, I am down to 4 of the original 7 rescues. Cancer & seizures were the top offenders. Our 4 living seem to be doing well. I haven't found any tumors and haven't seen any seizures. All but one came from aviaries with a container called "Bird Protector". I researched it and many people say it causes cancer and other problems in babies. So, I do what I can to keep them happy and healthy.
@Julie Rick we're definitely going to try this! We've got a 1/2 grown garden & dandelions are definitely in season. Will post a video 😎 thank you so much for your suggestions! ❤️
