I know im a little on the sleepy side when im watching a 12 minute video about 25 diffrent bridges am REALLY INTERESTED but super tiered... ...Now im an expert on Bridges.
How are you not going to include the chesapeake bay bridge!? That shit is 14 miles.....over the ocean. It even includes 2 tunnels that go under the ocean for ship passage
Lake Pontchartrain Causeway is the world's longest continuous bridge over water. Really should have been on here. I've been on it many, many times so maybe I'm biased. Thought you would have added the Skyway as an honorable mention. I used to live in Clearwater so, again, maybe bias? Regardless, you guys are awesome! I've been binge watching fire a month now and I think I've seen almost all of your content. Keep up the awesome videos!
ArtfulTheDodger Because it's a beautiful bridge and a great feat of engineering, especially considering it was completed in 1890. Until 1929 it had the greatest main span of any bridge in the world and even today has the second greatest main span of any cantilever bridge. Anyway, the closing of long bridges in open areas, such as the forth estuary, during high winds is very common.
+hearts76100 Its original name is The Forth Bridge. And its made with steel. The road bridge is called The Forth Road Bridge. The rail bridge is simply The Forth Bridge.
+ArtfulTheDodger The road bridge closes in very windy conditions when the deck can move sideways about 25 feet. The rail bridge is overbuilt and can take up to 100 mph gusts. It does not close in windy conditions.
Honorable mentions I'd give of famous bridges. Lake Pontchartrain Causeway near New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, for the longest time was the longest bridge in the world over water till it was eclipsed by a new bridge in China, but has the honor of being longest bridge continuous over water. Number 1, I figured Golden Gate Bridge would win that honor, and is among the modern wonders of the world, and also featured in countless TV shows and movies.
Where's the lake Pontchartrain Causeway? The longest bridge over water in the world. The first bridge in the world to use pre-tensioned concrete in its construction.
+Ch0plet The Golden Gate Bridge long lost its title as the longest suspension bridge in the world almost 50 years ago. What I can tell you is the Golden Gate bridge is absolutely gorgeous- in the fog, with the bay area and san francisco skyline and presidio. It is a beautiful, art decor bridge. The Humber bridge just looks.... generic- a generic double piered single connected concrete pier tower suspension bridge... BLEH
+Blahblahblah14898 to me it was nothing more than a bridge but it was kinda cool to be on such popular bridge. Also it looks really pretty at night when they turn on the lights.
good video, Liked it, however if I would have added: The "Millau Bridge" in southern france, both because its the worlds highest road bridge and I think it looks nice. The "Tacoma Narrows" Bridge which collapsed in 1940 as it taught the world about wave harmonics (kind of cheating as it collapsed). "Blackfriars Train Station" in England due to the entire bridge being a train station (I like trains). "Tokyo Bay Aqua Line" as its a bridge and a tunnel at the same time!
Awesome work with the names, damn! Meanwhile, Sydney harbour bridge should have been in the 20's for sure. There's nothing really special about it beside it being known.
Really? No Lake Pontchartrain Causeway Bridge? Are you kidding me List 25? Decent list but all things considered, you guys dropped the ball. Oh well. Oops, Edit: I see you have it mentioned in your Scariest Bridge Top 25 List. I take back what I said. Carry on List 25. Lol
Here's a fun bridge fact. In the small town of Livermore, KY we have a bridge that starts in mclean county, crosses a river, goes into Ohio county crosses another river then goes back into mclean county. It's only 1644 ft long.
+list25 Howz about the ACTUAL London Bridge, not its more photographed cousin with the towers? The last to survive of many before (since the Romans in 50ish AD) was built in 1825 (after the more famous London Bridge rebuild from the 1200's had seen too much wear and tear and was near impossible to cross with it's heavy traffic) and sold to Lake Havasu, Arizona, USA in the late 1960's. It was then rebuilt over dry land and had a channel for water cut underneath it. London Bridge is Falling Down was thought to have been sung for this bridge, not the Tower Bridge of London, since the song is thought to have begun somewhere in the 1600's WAY before Tower Bridge was constructed. Cool as the Tower Bridge looks, the London Bridge has a far more exotic history, and there are 2 of them still in existence!! On 2 different continents!!
Ross Collicutt ''Large reserves''? The Congo has large reserves. Kazakhstan has large reserves. Oman has large reserves. Does that make any of these countries relevant (especially politically and culturally)? No. Nice try canuck.
Number 25, the Ponte Vecchio, isn't 30m long.. Look at the picture. The bridge consists of three segmental arches: the main arch has a span of 30 meters (98 feet) the two side arches each span 27 meters (89 feet)
Krčki Bridge in Croatia. Connects land with Krk island. Has a tiny uninhabitated island of St. Marko in the middle. One of the two arcs on this bridge used to be the second largest arc in the world (up to about 1995 - I think). Oh and Krčki Bridge is over 1400m long!
+der Führer I never said it did. In Fact that's why BY THE TIME NUMBER 2 APPEARED I was wondering why Gg bridge had not appeared already. Next time, actually read my comment. That being said, it's not that surprising that it is number 1 considering it is the only bridge deemed to be one of the modern world wonders. Feel free to proof check what I just said.
+der Führer you know why its not on the list because America! Mike is american 1st off. 2nd the gg is a famous landmark and one of the faces of america (like Nyc and dc).
The List of Bridges is Very I impressive
Before all the comments start rolling in, I want to apologize for any mispronunciations on my part. I tried! LoL ~Mike
No it's good brother. Just keep up the good work.
+list25 No worries - keep up the good work
+list25 I am offended.
+list25 Pronunciations in German and French weren't even that bad.
What about the forth road rail bridge in Scotland
Glad you went back to the old video format.. Thumbs up
Surprised not to see the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on this list
new subscriber ... keep up the good work Mike!
Welcome aboard! Glad to have you. ~Mike
+list25 haha funny joke. Now go back to the old format.
+list25 Hey Mikey, The Snowdawg is a new subscriber too. Howdy!!
Great video, friend! There are times when nothing better illuminates your path than a burning bridge. Enjoy your travels and good mood!
I know im a little on the sleepy side when im watching a 12 minute video about 25 diffrent bridges am REALLY INTERESTED but super tiered...
...Now im an expert on Bridges.
I'm exhausted too.... This working for a living thing is getting tough...
WHAT?! No Mackinaw Bridge?! It's the 'Mighty Mac'!
And it dwarves the golden gate, by a substantial amount
+originalicetray
Just by length. Every other category the Golden Gate is bigger.
+andyman hyman every other category? All two other dimensions?
Nice Job. Wondering about the Mackinac Bridge. Love that one.
How are you not going to include the chesapeake bay bridge!? That shit is 14 miles.....over the ocean. It even includes 2 tunnels that go under the ocean for ship passage

Like for No. 11
Impressively beautiful!! Definitely another form of eye candy!!
Rabindra Setu (Howrah bridge) is beautiful.
I was kind of expecting the Forth Bridge on this list.
+ProudToBeNoob is that in scotland? rings a bell!
Why on the list?... It closes in wind making it USELESS!
ArtfulTheDodger Because it's a beautiful bridge and a great feat of engineering, especially considering it was completed in 1890. Until 1929 it had the greatest main span of any bridge in the world and even today has the second greatest main span of any cantilever bridge. The forth railway bridge in Scotland should be number 1, it was lookin mint recently with the flying Scotsman going over it.
Golden Gate Bridge will be first no doubt
nice video
+Dark Blue Moon Thank you!
Who else predicted what number one was going to be??
I thought it was going to be Sydney harbour bridge.
+R3MIX MODZ i did.
+R3MIX MODZ Its such BS. Their are so many bridges that are more impressive. Almost every other bridge on this list is more impressive
Barend De klerk I know but the list had to be biased to get most likes.
+Barend De klerk but none are more famous and few have as much historical and cultural significance, even if all the others look coler
that Moses bridge is cool
Where's the lake Pontchartrain Causeway? The longest bridge over water in the world. The first bridge in the world to use pre-tensioned concrete in its construction.
The Golden Gate Bridge is kinda like the Humber bridge, but smaller
the golden gate bridge is actually bigger. older and earthquake proof.
+isaac allen Golden Gate Bridge is smaller than the Humber bridge.
+Luke Taylor the Humber bridge was the biggest of its kind at one point
+Phillip Langrish did you build the bridge cause you seem butthurt lol
+Ch0plet The Golden Gate Bridge long lost its title as the longest suspension bridge in the world almost 50 years ago. What I can tell you is the Golden Gate bridge is absolutely gorgeous- in the fog, with the bay area and san francisco skyline and presidio. It is a beautiful, art decor bridge. The Forth Bridge in Scotland should have made this list.
venice is the most fascinating one on list ty so much :-)
I have been on that bridge multiple times in Assassin's Creed. Not in real life though :( ~Mike
+list25 lol one of the best games ever :-)
so many beautifull bridges and that red monstruosity takes number 1? im sorry but that will never be a number 1 in my mind and heart
if you actually knew about it, it might be.
Ye true, that's exactly what I thought.
+pereiramariana35 I've visited the Golden Gate Bridge. IT is absolutely gorgeous- a beuatiful piece of Art Deco New Deal Infrastructure.
+Blahblahblah14898 to me it was nothing more than a bridge but it was kinda cool to be on such popular bridge. Also it looks really pretty at night when they turn on the lights.
Blahblahblah14898
still, ive seen better
Love the videos keep up the good work :)
Awesome video... i'm ending my day with this video :D
This came out on my birthday
Your pronunciation of the Charles Bridge was spot on! Fantastic! (ignore the haters...you're awesome in my book)
good video, Liked it, however if I would have added:
The "Millau Bridge" in southern france, both because its the worlds highest road bridge and I think it looks nice.
The Forth Bridge, look it up. This was built when before there were cars.
Almost all other bridge lists include the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. Why not this one? Just curious.
Number 24 looks exactly like the Bay Bridge in SF, CA but taller.
You could have mentioned the world's longest bridge here in New Orleans...The Causeway Bridge is 24.6 miles long....:)
How could you leave out the Mighty Mack??
You are an idol, Mike, you know that?!
What about the Gateshead Millennium Bridge or New Wear Crossing?
DO A TOP 25 MOST FAMOUS BRIDGES
You have London bridge but you don't have the forth rail bridge in Scotland ? are you kidding me . It's one of the most impressive bridges going
If you are going to copy and paste your worthless spam, try not to copy the buttons as well.
Howrah bridge is not in Howrah, it is actually in Kolkata(Calcutta)
I already rided in howrah bridge
The No 1 pick was amusingly predictable
Most impressive bridge in the world at the moment is the Viaduc de Millau in southern France
Did well. I am from Northern Michigan so I favor the Mackinaw Bridge.
Absolutely and whole heartedly agree
+originalicetray I'd say the fact no one outside the state can ever seem to pronounce it right would qualify for at least an honorable mention
already knew what the #1 bridge will be.
Excellent video! Didn't list25 do a bridge list a few years ago where I saw "The Rainbow Bridge"? It's somewhere in Japan.
But... but... where's the Millau bridge? Those French bridges mentioned are impressive but Millau definitely deserved to be on this list.
Mostar bridge is one of the coolest bridges how could you forget it
I really like the Erasmusbrug in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
+Thomas Joosten (owner of YoshiGamesTJ) t is gewoon een simpele brug. Niets speciaals aan
TheNubDutchman Wel een erg mooie
***** There's a translate button. I recommend you use it
+Thomas Joosten (owner of YoshiGamesTJ) No ooga booga is the translation....duh!!!!
+Dolfy123 Tell him Dolfy.....
How is the Forth Bridge not on this?
I'm walking over a bridge right now
+Jase W/ SideFX lol nice.
What u think about signature bridge India and China glass bridge... So cool 😎😎😎
Your lists help SPAN the knowledge gap from one end to the other end... im not tresseling around
I visited si-o-seh pol bridge in Isfahan, Iran. It's really beautiful.
Awesome work with the names, damn! Meanwhile, Sydney harbour bridge should have been in the 20's for sure. There's nothing really special about it beside it being known.
It’s definitely impressive what the title of this video suggests. You gotta see it to believe it 😉
so why didn't the mackinac bridge make it on the list?
Good question, it's bigger than the golden gate...
+originalicetray no it isnt the golden gate might besmaller and less impressive its a icon, its more famous.
what about iron bridge in telford. The daddy of every modern bridge.
staffordandy Davies I think the Menai bridge in wales was Thomas telfords best bridge
Been on the helix bridge before, it was beautiful.
Except the weather wasn't.
What about the Forth rail bridge
I lived 50 feet away from the bridge over the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi, Thailand for 6 years
Lol
No Storebælt ?

Hey..what about the Bandra Worli Sea Link in Mumbai?
@9:20 #5 how in the world did someone build that bridge haha, i'm quite curious.
my uncle helped planning the one in sweden :)
+Max Hedebratt Han är en cool man. Såg en dokumentär om hur de byggde bron och blev imponerad på hur mycket arbete som läggs ner för såna projekt.
What about Confederation Bridge, Prince Edward Island, Canada?
+Ross Collicutt
Or for that matter, Hartland Covered Bridge, in Hartland NB Canada. It is the world's longest covered bridge, after all.
Both could have, should have been there.
+Ross Collicutt No one cares. Canada is irrelevant.
Our large reserves makes Canada, for better or worse, relevant,
Ross Collicutt ''Large reserves''? The Congo has large reserves. Kazakhstan has large reserves. Oman has large reserves. Does that make any of these countries relevant (especially politically and culturally)? No. Nice try canuck.
Lol people arguing what bridges should of been on the list and what shouldn't, it's a fucking bridge seriously...
Wow I'm disappointed that the Chesapeake bay Bridge was not on this list
Did anyone else see the bridge for #23 and immediately think of the movie "XXX"?
nice background music
Do you know the song?
Number 25, the Ponte Vecchio, isn't 30m long.. Look at the picture. The bridge consists of three segmental arches: the main arch has a span of 30 meters (98 feet) the two side arches each span 27 meters (89 feet)

The best one is 'HOWRAH BRIDGE' in INDIA. number 11.
Millau Viaduct tops all of these in my opinion.
You did well pronouncing Sao Paulo, but someone failed typing it in the description
Öresundsbron FTW!
you forgot the Gölzschtalbrücke, the worlds largest bridge entirely made out of bricks
Aw you forgot the bridge Winnie the Pooh played pooh sticks on :)
No Storebælt 😕
By number 2 I was preparing to comment: "So, what no GG bridge?"
#11 seriously looks like the bridge in need for speed 2015.
The Australian bridge was modeled after Hell Gate Bridge in New York City.
Bridges: Abridged.
we should comment on the Mackinac Bridge man?
Where is" nordhordalands brua" and the atlantic road althoe that is a conection of seweral bridges
You forgot to mention the legendary London Bridge which is now in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
mike! whats the music called????
How hard was number 8 to pounce?
+Led Foot also 6
Anybody else thought in their head "this fucker better say the golden gate"
the howrah bridge has been renamed to rabindra setu in 2008
