I did some calculations, and got to this solution: Since one Day-Night-Cycle on Sylvia takes ~12 min, we would need 15 Medium Batteries for the night, and 6 big solar panels for the day, to power 10 research chambers on the maximum. Every research chamber takes 2 E/s, so you would need 20 E/s from the solar panels on day time, and 20 E/s from the Medium Batteries. You need to get 22 E/s additional, to recharge the Medium Batteries on day time. You could do this with 42 small solar panels; 11 medium solar panels; 6 big solar panels or 3 XL solar panels.

A little thing I found really useful for finding my way around - just place your beacons on top of mountains or stand and build a really tall column underneath you then leave a beacon on top - jet pack back down. It means you can see your beacon from half way round the planet. Makes a huge difference.

It takes 268,050 total bytes to research everything in the game currently, according to the handbook.
Also while waiting for the research to finish you could have gathered some soil and made some Large storage to throw on all your power platforms and then make additional wind turbines to increase your power, although you would need a smelter than to create ceramic (although later on back on Slyva you mention gathering hematite from Glacio which requires a smelter at some point to use so may as well make one on Glacio).

Put a medium storage silo besides your rover seat on the large rover. You can put your lights there, and you also get a lot more storage.
Lights won't face downwards. Good idea though

Hey Z i just wanted to let you know that I love your vids sooo much! Keep up the good work!
I had a 4 piece large rover stuck in the sky one time after a glitch and it flew in the air, with it staying in the sky for like 4 in-game days until I sorted some hydrazine to fly up to it and 'bump' it so it came back down to ground bloomin' miles away from each other :P
I like running long stings of small solar and small wind turbines on the ground in every direction. The solar along the sun's path so I get power from them for longer.
Z1, I think I have about 600k bytes in my game, & everything is unlocked too! 1 million bytes, here I come!!!
Now, over 850k bytes!!! LOL!
You also need to find all the chess pieces on Desolo and Novus. I've found most of them around the landing spots although I am still missing a couple of pieces.

Here is tip for beginners that need ton of exp at the start. go to cave or just dig down and grab those purple cactus looking plant seeds and make wall(6feet high) and add very long/wide roof(10-15 feet). go up the wall and plant all over the roof, add space between seeds like 2feet and let them grow. when it is fully grown within a min and you get these science block under the roof growing. just grab them, research and repeat the process.
I have like 3 of these roofs with like 25-50 of these plants. I've made the big rig thing and added the pyramid looking thing on it and just dump 12-14 of these big blocks from the purple cactus. come back every hr and repeat.

pro tip: moon = research base using alot of med solar and batteries, and the fact that the day/night cycles are a minute long
glacio = Gathering base = since research is pretty high value (a EXO research item are normally 7400 bytes (sometimes 8300))
I got I think 30 on glacio, sent it to the moon, and had a byte per min of over 3000 (I also had 6 RTGs cause it was endgame. but before that the bytes per min was still pretty high)

Atrox needs hydrogen for it's core!!! I'm collecting helium, methane, & sulfur from Novus! & primarily, collecting Argon from Vesania! But, I collect Argon from Glacio just for steel production! I hope they(Devs) fix the auto-draw from medium silos that are attached to large silos(just saying), if they haven't already!!! Hope this reminder helps(Atrox core - Helium)!!! LOL!

Medium wind is 1A and a research chamber use 2A to operate.
Medium battery can do 3A in/out, small battery 1A in/out.
Medium battery has 8 times the capacity of a small battery.
do not connect ur rover on power plant farm system. Maybe rover work look like a battery >>>>>>>16:57 confirmed!!!

That's a lot of bites I have got to do this on my world except on saliva and with the the satellite that has the extra large solar on it and a lot of medium batteries

You really need to carve out your landing pad, so you can land there!!! Timelaps it!!! Once it's done (for certain), watch it land on the landing pad!!! Then go outside, to see if the shuttle is still hidden!!!
they really need to make the research station auto-feed of the platform like the smelter does.
They might be working on that idea - but I think they want to make sure they have it working correctly and not have a byte duplicating glitch (similar to what happened with the smelters at one point).
Do you ever make a base on every planet?
You should use Storages full of small wind turbines and small batteries instead of medium wind turbines and medium batteries.

By the looks of it, the planet looks like Glacio.
And about starting on it... you cant actually start on it in the beginning of the game as the planet you start on is Sylva. But you can make a shelter and a rocket and go to Glacio and pretend you started on it.

@@tsunsu I don't know what kind of games you played "back in your day". But if you want to make it slower, harder, and more tedious, then buy the game and do it yourself. I'm a man of results and the methods used, as long as they are legitimate, are completely about getting said results. Almost everyone plays for results. You play Tetris to get to the next level. You play Kerbal Space Program to get to the next planet. It's all about results, whether you like it or not.
