Retired Navy SEAL, Dorr, reviews the new Blue Force Gear GRID battle belt. Blue Force Gear is known for making reliable, innovative products for end users, i.e., professionals.
Their new battle belts might be the best battle belts in the market today.
Read our in-depth review of the GRID belt here: tacticalhyve.c...
Blue Force Gear offers a load-rated belt for those conducting aerial operations, the CHLK belt. It is identical to the GRID belt but has two tether points. You can view it here: tacticalhyve.c...

I love when reviewers give you size references. I’m a 30-31” waist, and I somehow mis measured and ordered the size “36”. It was almost doable… but I sent it back. Had I seen this prior, it would have saved me some headache.
The part of belt reviews that everyone leaves out is what happens at doo doo time. How quickly can you go one leg out for the true tactical deuce? You hangin it on the wall? Goin tacti sling style? We need the deets
Shit your pants like a real man
Effing tactical deuce haaaaahahahaha
Buy tactical pants that have a zipper on the backside😊
I made my own "battlebelt" with a 1.5" canvas Cobra buckle belt and a padded rifle sling repurposed as a lumbar pad for use on my homestead. It works quite well, but I don't often wear it, there's just not much real world need for it.
Then why make one at all.
Nice review! I was thinkin bout going lighter myself. I like the ITW G-Hook closure on the inner belt. Love the channel btw! 😁👍👍🇺🇸
The blue force, the ronin, the kore, and the battle wagon by ciguara seem like the top ones to pick from.
I issued this out to my people. The belt is ok, but the pouches didn’t make it pass 3 months, and that’s stretching it.
Everything is a compromise. In this case you’re giving up some durability for weight reduction.
U.S.A. made gear has value to me, but that stuff had better be damn good for that price.
For $363.00 for just a belt, I do not care if it's a little old lady in the middle of America putting these things together......that aint happening. Thats absolutely ridiculous.
Who makes that drop-down holster extender?
Good stuff
Im torn on which belt to choose. I have a KORE Essentials conceal carry belt and I've heard alot of good things about their battle belt so I'm not sure 😭 might go with kore because I do like the micro adjustment and rigidity. Thoughts anyone?
@@thatguywhogames2373 I have a Kore belt system and while the micro adjustment is nice, the build quality and molle loops have left me wanting. The velcro that secures the inner belt around your waist (think buckle) started to tear off from the threading and separate from the underlying glue after just a few months of inconsistent use, and the molle system is a pain to work with as the stitching is super tight in some areas and difficult to pass through any webbing that utilizes buttons for pouch retainment.
I’m ditching that system and switching to this one.
The problem i see is there are tons of belts out here, and some of them are good some are bad and it gets harder every day because the next company brings a new belt 😌 the price range from a couple bucks up to 255 😅 its a jungle.
It like the defense mechanisms belt very much best inner belt in my opinion
Yeah no kidding. I went down this rabbit hole weeks ago. My head is spinning with the options, yikes. Im just looking for something when all shit goes to hell.
Love my padded vickers sling on dd5v3..
Nice thank you 🙏
Is it possible to CCW with the inner belt?
1.75" Vedder holster clips (glock 19)
Possible - yes, however it's not a rigid belt, so a holstered pistol w/magazine pouch, etc, would probably want to sag somewhat. I know some guys do wear the inner as an EDC, but I only wear mine in concert with the outer.
They may just have something newer coming out at some point along the lines of a daily type rig, so be alert.
Really like, thanks
The holster attachment piece is made by blueforce? 3:30 Mark
Looks like nice stuff
I think its toooo much $$$$$$$
Wow 😳
It should be better than all the others, for the price they are charging lol. They do have the best gear tho
bfg seems cool until you try to by anything from them!
Never had a problem buying anything from them.
Never had a problem buying from them.
Same here.
I've been buying from them over the last several years and never had an issue.
Velcro wears out, I hate it. Hard pass for me. I will run belt keepers thank you very much.
I’ve had that worry bout my crye Velcro but 2yrs in wearin em damn near everyday it’s still goodern grits…Appalachian larper extrodinaire…have 3pair..hot weather…g4..and g4black which I wear with black Solomon forces and cry when I have to take em off…I’d have wore out 2 pairs of anything less scratchin around these mts…sometimes the moneys worth it just gotta know when to pull the trigger and not get burned…
Agreed, don't like velcro for critical items:
I can tell you a horror story from HALO school, almost lost our platoon medic due to velcro leg/rucksack strap failing!
So do boots. What do you do when your boots wear out? I have ran several velcro back belts. They last longer than they stay in style. If it wears out, replace it.
I’ve ran a ronin belt and an RDR belt for around 5 years now and haven’t had an issue with the Velcro.
The velcro was weak right out of the box. I also hate it. Buying a core belt
Thank You.
Sweet belt but pricey AF
🔥👍

Training trumps gear. I don’t blame these guys for getting paid to rep gear, get that money! But if your idea of training is running a box or two through your Gucci Glock once every month or so, you definitely don’t need a “battle belt.”
We don’t get paid anything by Blue Force Gear. They just make a great belt.
And battle belts are made for end users, i.e., people who actually operate.
@@TacticalHyve I stand corrected. Thanks for the response, I was mostly just making a smart alec remark to all the tacit-cool guys that are going to start showing up to the range in several hundred dollar belt setups now.
Scotty Lee Pretty sure most of these dudes on Tactical Hyve have operated in a real world environment.
Well most training classes require you to have a good system to hold your magazine or rifle pouches why have something cheap and flimsy?
@@SoldierBoii47 yes I’m aware and not referring to them when I mention the tacti-cool fools.
