Now that you have a check engine light on, how do you fix it the right way without guessing

We didn't get check engine lights or obd2 in mx5s until 2002 In Australia. I still need to use the led and diagnostics box in the engine bay to pull any codes.

Hey Al, not sure if would be worth the time making a video on but I just noticed some fairly severe crank wobble on my nb2. Maybe just some general information on wobble, prevention and possible fixes if you even recommend the fixes. Thanks appreciate any advice.
