THREEology // The Lord's Prayer: Episode 10

This summer, we'll be talking about the Lord's Prayer. This famous prayer in Matthew 6 teaches us a lot about the ways we hear from (and talk to) God. As we study this prayer, we'll see why prayer is so important and how it not only changes things, but changes us.
When we pray, we need to confess to God. Confess our brokenness. Our sin. Our faults. Our failures. Our struggles. Take those things before Him and let Him know that we know who we are. We know what we’ve done. But, we’re also putting our trust in who He is and what He’s done. He can forgive. He can make us right. For that reason, this petition teaches us about the importance of reconciliation. We should forgive the way we’ve been forgiven. If we’re offering this prayer to God and we realize that we are harboring unforgiveness in our hearts, then we have to remedy that!
