I have 2 Turquas. 243 and Creedmoor. Mine have the iron sights as well with walnut stock. Beautiful rifles for the money. Mine can shoot 4 different brand and grain in both calibers at 1MOA or better. I use Sellior and Bellot 140gr in my creedmoor. .5MOA in any group size. It is also a fabulous hunting round. You have to be careful with creedmoor hunting ammo. We've had ELD-X shatter on bone. It happened twice where the rib shattered the bullets requiring a 2nd finishing shot. Never again. That bullet profile is a problem. Long and skinny. The standrd lead Soft Point bullets, like Core-lokt, Whitetail, Winchester etc, work great and the S&B mushroomsw beautifully and punches right through. So we use typical lead bullets in our creedmoors. The Walnut guns are the best buy. My 243 is also superbly accurate. Just adjust the trigger folks - its simple.
The rifle does look like a good shooter. I don't really like Remington ammo. Never buy it anymore. That is what got me into reloading. I bought 100 rounds of 30-06 ammo so I could get the same lot number in brass for reloading and the groups were 4 inches at 100 yards. Enough said. Have not and will not buy any more of their ammo. Occasionally I purchase factory ammo for maybe a new rifle I don't have dies for yet. Other than that, I just load my own. Unless you buy premium ammo there is a lot of junk ammo out there that won't shoot sub-MOA out of the best guns. The walnut stock and the nicer plated bolt are well worth the extra $50. Nice video.
It is a good little rifle. I'd like to get my hands on the walnut stock. As far as factory vs reloading. I do reload but for what I'm doing with the testing especially the bullet performance tests I kinda have to buy alot. But having said that I use the spent brass to reload. Some guns are reasonably priced on ammo and shoot good in particular rifles. Those I will buy several boxes to have. The guns that are more expensive to shoot or I really love, get reloaded. But finding large rifle or magnum primers are about impossible to come across around here.
Large rifle primers seem to be a shortage everywhere. I am glad I bought a lot in bulk awhile back and am conservative in shooting my larger caliber rifles except when developing a load.@@chadmorrison5094

Ya i forgot UA-cam doesn’t allow “gun smithing”. I hav tried to adjust the screw on the trigger face - wont budge and im afraid to force it. It isnt locktighted on the front or back, but it wont move. As for the silver hex screw that you can see thru the adjustment hole in the trigger guard - i move it clockwise and counter clockwise and it only makes the trigger pull worse (6lbs +) in both directions. So any advice is much appreciated.

Yes. With a good setup and the right ammo I do. I only have access to 600 yards. Not really a long-range shooter, but gonna work on that in the spring! I'd like to take the Steve's out as far as I can.
The 140 norm and 140 Remington core lockt was pushing 1.1 inch after a few more groups. However, the 129 grain hornady whitetail ammo was half moa, the Remington corelokt tipped 129s were averaging .65 moa. It isn't threaded but for the way it shoots I'm probably going to thread mine. There is plenty of meat in the barrel to thread. For me is finding a reasonably priced gunsmith. My gunsmith charges $125. Also, the barrel is heavy enough to spend time at the rang with. It takes about 6 rounds at 55 degrees to start getting the barrel really warm.
So i have one in .308 that shoots 3/4” groups with Fed Match 168gr HPBT ammo and 7/8” to 1” groups with standard Norma 150gr hunting ammo. I also have a 6.5CM that shoots 1/2” groups with Federal Berger Hybrid Hunter 135gr ammo and 3/4”-78” groups with Herters and Win White Box 129gr ammo. For the money, these rifles are extremely accurate. The triggers need work, but they can be adjusted with some difficulty.
With the 6.5 Creedmoor in both of the 129 gr. bullets I was getting roughly. 5 groups at 100 yards. And just over 1 moa at 100 yards. I'm still searching for a sub moa 140 gr bullets for it though. Sorry not threaded but at sub moa I am considering getting it threaded. My gun smith charges $125. And there is plenty of meat in the barrel to thread it.
Currently they only have the 334 in 308, 243 win. and 6.5 creedmoor. (Short actions) I would buy you in long action myself if they made them. Prices vary on these from 350.00 up to around 450.00. That I have found. Thanks for watching and commenting. God bless

I have but to old and hard of hearing. Wonderful thing about threaded barrels is they come with a threaded protector. That way you don't have to thread anything on them.

You have to recock the rifle after every adjustment as you turn the silver screw

Did you use all the adjustment on the Trigger?
No. Just to be comfortable for hunting. I'm at if I remember correctly about 4 lbs. But that's because of an injury to my hand some years ago.

Why is your scope mounted so high?
I just used the rings that came with the scope. I was out of medium height rings.
