She has a very powerful presence on stage, especially when the captor who has her in chains and the at the right moment he fans her camel toe with the flames making it hot and juicy. And the way the band coordinates their musical talent puts me in awe. I wonder which guy she gave a nasty but deadly case of flesh eating herpe simplex called insidiousflylarvis.
I can't count the numver of times Terry David Mulligan didn't play this one when requested on "Good Rockin' Tonight" LOL! Still one of the best songs and videos of it's time!
I remember recording this on VHS cassette when I was a teenager. I wish I had a buck for every time I used this video to clean the pipes when I was home alone...
They're still touring. Saw them last night at Calgary. She and her band were amazing. She's lost nothing from her early days. Some of her jazz is very good. Her live version of "Chained to a fence post in Mississippi" blew my mind. The recorded version is completely different; not nearly as good. If you have the chance to see her play live, you'll be glad you went.
I saw her live in Victoria B.C. at a place called TRAMPS many years ago. I yelled out this song...but she never sang it :( Her band looked rough, but she looked great ;)
