- Even though we have an install video showing a comp install but we decided to do a comprehensive, detailed install update video to better assist in your installation process.

Just installed mine on my p229. It’s easy and look great! I order extra shims just in case i ever have to re shim it. Took me 5 min to do. I practice putting in vise and put it in the best position I could wrench it down on it and torqued it on fluid motion perfectly.
Im Glad they updated this install process, I followed their old process to a T a few years ago, and it totally seized the comp to my barrel at a 10° cant, and destroyed the comp trying to get it back off, because they recommended you put the loctite on first. Ever since then I've never bought one again and ofc didnt get a refund, but glad they're updating their install video. Sadly I was a newbie to gunsmithing and didnt know any better at the time
What you let it dry first?
Easy peasy just installed mine on my PPQ M2 Q4 TAC will use DPM spring and adjust from there quality Comp.🎉
For the Beretta 92 do I need to buy an extended spring rod or will it work with the factory spring rod?
I know this might be a dumb question, but on e on to clean the gun u just wont be able to seperate barrel and slide right or do u break off comp each time?
Correct, it is a semi-permanent installation. It is still very possible to get a thorough cleaning of the slide and barrel while it is attached and does not require uninstalling to clean!
Anyone installed it without a Vise?
What about the part where you have like a milimeter to go but nothing will move it ? Comp is now stuck on and 98% of the way their but no dice. I'm so livid. No idea what the issue is but now I can't even get the comp off.

My comp has a small gap from the slide and it annoys me
So you need to buy the plastic mounting block??

Not required but highly recommended
You can put it in the vise with another method for protection. Leather, rags, your own 3d printed shims, other plastic shims, etc. Just something so the vise doesn't mar the comp. Obviously the block is going to be the easiest and most secure method.
