Thanks for your sharing! It’s such a helpful video for me. I got a question and i wonder if you could give me some advice. I want to use the exact pitches of a spectrum after FM processing as my music material( like Murail do on his word Gondwana) do you have any recommended way to calculate or software ? Thank you so much!
You can calculate RM -based harmonies with sum and difference tones: just add and subtract the frequencies of the pitches you want to ring-modulate. To get a richer harmony, add and subtract the frequencies of each pitch's first few overtones as well. You could also record a synthesized sound and analyze the overtones in SPEAR, then orchestrate those.
Hello Mr. Bolanos, thank you for this very interesting video. I'm a composer and I would like to study and use this patch but I'm missing the "p variable waveshape" subpatch (and I can't copy it from the screen). Maybe you can upload it or tell me where I can download it. Thank you so much for your valuable publication work for MaxMsp.
nice! well explained.
Can you please share the project ?
