I love my Tretoin, it took me awhile to adjust but I love the results. I also added azelaic acid from The Ordinary once a day and it certainly has helped my sun spots, melasma etc. I have very very sensitive skin and these work for me so I'm very happy. Love your videos and glowing skin
Thank you, Sheri for being you. I have subscribed to your channel for a very long time and enjoy your videos. Wow! Hateful people crawled out from some roach hole for this video and you don’t deserve that- but you handled them with grace ❤❤
Hey Lisa! Oh no worries. There's always a few negative commentors but there are 99% more people who want to be kind and share positive stuff so we just let them "feel better" with their nastiness. Plus I think it's an actual UA-camr who has a history of having fake accounts....I'm seeing that same name leave comments and some really rude comments on other beauty youtuber's channels. This "person" also just told me I'm basically ugly haha in another video and that I should stop traveling because it made my skin bad...then they wrote "no offense though" all you can do is laugh 🤪🤣
I’m 38 and have used different retinoid products for ages. Medik8 retinals are seriously the best of the best there is! I’m currently on tretinoin but miss my Medik8 retinals, as the experience using them is so uniquely pleasant. I used 3 full pumps of retinal on my face, even eye area + neck/chest, every night, without any moisturizer, on my dry skin - with absolutely no irritation! My skin always felt healthy, glowing and beautiful. The results were truly unmatched!
I started skincare at the age of almost 35 years . I started with low strength retinol serum for the first three months and jumped to Medik 8, starting from CR1 now have gone up to 20 alternate days and prescription tretinoin once a week except gylcolic nights . My skin feels so fresh. ❤
That's a great way to rotate them. I sometimes wonder what my skin would look like if I didn't use skincare and sunscreen for all these years. Never too late to start. 💜
I stated at 35 using tretinoin, very inconsistently at that and most don't believe I'm in my 30s, let along 39. I did get two fraxel laser treatment last year as well and I think that helped a lot too. And sunscreen is my literal religion. And I take lots of vitamins including NMN.
@IamWanderwoman I am 39 too, turning 40 in January. People think I am 30 . And just like you said, I have also been on and off retinoid as I have severe back issues, which got really bad in 2021 and 2022. Couldn't keep up with the routine.
IMO the best thing a person can do is pile on the sunscreen. And wear a hat. When I started doing that my skin changed profoundly. My face hasn’t seen the sun in 20 years and I have very nice skin as a result.
I know right, when I saw they launched this I could not wait to get my hands on it. Super excited and I was so impressed seeing the before/afters on their website. Let me know how it works for you.
Thank you for this recommendation. I was using a .10 retynal for a while and then switched to adapalene (Differin), which is now available without a prescription and is much less irritating than Tretinoin, and I use this at night. I'm also using my AHAs and BHAs in the morning (along with SPF 50 sunscreen). After seeing your video, I decided to try Medik8 and the strength 10, which I plan to use 5 days/per week and adapalene twice a week, since I know is very good for skin even without acne concerns. If I like the results, once I finish the adapalene and Medik 8 10, I will order a Medik8 strength 20 and use only that at night, with the AHA/BHA and Vitamin C in the mornings.
Nice! I just bought dr ani rajani similar product, not yellow thought. I’ve been using retinol .01 for awhile and turning 54 so trying to reduce fine lines, pore size, and prevent my nasal labial lines from becoming folds. ❤
LOL Oh I know what ya mean about trying to prevent our lines from becoming folds. Vit A products definitely will help...and sunscreen too so we can prevent any further damage and allow our skin to heal properly. 💜
Hi Sheri, I’ve been using Medic8 Crystalized Retinaldhyde for almost one year. Iam almost out of 10, so excited to go up to 20; then 24. I also use Tret 0.05% for 2 nights then this one for 2 nights. I love it.
I am glad to hear that you are using tret .05 along with it as well. I’m doing the same thing- using it once a week and then I use the crystal 20 two or three times a week as well. I’m really liking it! ♥️😎👍🏼
@@Queenmarie88 t thank you QueenMarie88. So, when you use your Tret, do you apply serums and moisturizer first, wait then apply your Tret then another layer of moisturizer? Oh, does the Medic8 turn your skin orange after applying? I’m still on my 1st tube of 10 and I massage it in, yet it leaves an orange cast on my face. 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ it doesn’t bother me, but have watched other au Tubers apply it and I don’t see that on them
Hiiii ❤thank you for your amazing video! You look absolutely amazing. How bold and incredible it is to witness a woman share her very personal journey with skincare. So inspiring! I'm curious if you know any vegan skin care products that you can recommend. Blessings
I always enjoy your videos! I hope you will share some of your travel videos and where you were going and what you’re doing around the world. I love to hear about your travels!
Wow, the colour of the Crystal 20 is much more apricot in colour. I live in Sweden and there is just one place I can get the Crystal 20 from. Now I want the Crystal 24… obviously😅 Great video! ❤
Hopefully they end up selling it where you are. I don't see any other stores selling it online just yet since it just launched today but I'm sure they will eventually.
Yes! I wonder if the coumarin scent is also stronger too, ha! I don't mind that warm hay & tonka bean vibe but I do laugh at how jaundiced I look when massaging the product in. Even an hour after application when I put a late evening sheet mask on, I remove the sheet 20 minutes later and it's got apricot coloured stains all over it. That's a serious pigment there. I'd love to know what the purpose of it is.
I bought the Medik8 20 about a month ago and I have been absolutely loving it! I was a bit hesitant to spend that much but I’m glad I did. I had been using tretinoin .05 once or twice a week for a while but it always does give me some dry patches so I wanted to try this. I still use the tretinoin once a week but I use this also two or three times a week and it has made a difference. There’s no irritation with this in my skin is clearer and smoother. I had no idea that they even made a 24 so that will be nice that I have something to work up to Thank you for your review beautiful Sheri ♥️👍🏼😎
Hi Sheri - I took your recommendation and purchased the Medik8 Crystal Retinal a couple of months ago. I had been trying to tolerate prescription Tret and I couldn’t do it, even at very low potency. (I never stopped getting the dry, flakey patches around my mouth and chin.) I am only on the #3 strength of the Medik8 so far, but I am now using it every other night with no issues. I’m going to start using it every night within the next week or so, and if that goes well, I’ll move on to the next potency level after a tube or two of the 3. Thank you so much for the recommendation! I can’t say I’m seeing a lot of benefits yet, but it’s early days and I’m still on the beginner strength. I LOVE the packaging, too. So easy to use.
I'm so glad. If you have no irritation, I'm sure using it nightly will help and yes once you bump up to strength 6, results get better and better. It does take a few months to see results BUT if you try their Sleep Glycolic layered under their Crystal Retinal, it will help the skin cells to slough off and turnover even more rapidly. I do that about once a week or once every 2 weeks now to help move things along quicker. Don't forget your SPF every day. 🤗
Thank you! I keep my night routine pretty simple BUT I often use an additional eye cream and/or eye oil before my moisturizer...but you don't have to. 💜
Adapalene is great for dark spots from acne and great at preventing acne as well. It has antiaging benefits as well for many people. I personally don't love it for wrinkles or for melasma but it is a fabulous product and affordable.
I just ordered the Demelect rapid repair! It is one of the few products they have without HA! It sounds wonderful, thank you! I ordered it through your link but used their labor day discount, I hope you still get "credit" 🤷🤞
Hope you enjoy it! No worries if I don't but if you use my links I usually do. I really appreciate you but no pressure ever. let me know how it works for you! 💕
Thank you. That's super nice of you. I still have my stubborn melasma and a couple spots from a recent break out so it's exciting seeing how something can change the skin. 💗
I saw your recommendation of this product a while back and started with the 6 and am now on strength 10. I also have had no issue with irritation from these. I tried prescription retin-A years ago and had to stop because of the iritation. Thank you for letting us all know about this product! I think I am ready to move up to the 20 and eventually try the 24 strenghth.
So glad it's working for you. I'm with ya, prescription strength can be fabulous for some, but I just got annoyed with the Retin-A "uglies". I am super excited they came out with a strength 24. Now you have something to build up to. 💕
This range is my holy grail alongside their retionoate intense (& eye cream/serum too). When I run out and see how I get on for a month or so-- EGADS!!! Nope, I see the difference immediately and get right back on the website to reorder either their ultra expensive concentrate or the Crystal Retinal 20. Now that I know they have a higher strength 24 I will order that when I run out. I'm SOOOOO glad I clicked on this video of yours as I had no idea a new product had been released. I'm going to guess that this tweaked version of retinol being used at higher strength is due to new laws in the EU and UK regarding retinol percentages in commercially available products. I know from experience that you don't need to risk great irritation and other alarming side affects with retinol/tretinoin etc. HIGHLY recommend this range to everybody in their late 30s and over.
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheri Oh that's the hardest question because it's a preventative product as well as one that does PRECISELY what it says 'on the tin', y'know? Here are my top five reasons to recommend those two products: 1. Excellent for truly reactive, sensitive skin. 2. Highly effective for people with unclarified skin or dark patches left behind from old zits & acne and excellent at keeping breakouts away altogether. 3. Excellent for shallow lines turning into wrinkles 4. Genuinely brightens skin and smooths skin-- no rough bumps and more diffused pores. 5. The entire time I used it I didn't feel like my skin aged at all (when I stopped using it and just went without treatment altogether, all of the above concerns came back to say hello.) If it's within your budget, try these two products. However, the one your recommended is the one I'll buy next, just because I know how great the 20 strength is too-- you've already sold it to me Sheri, ha! 💰👍
i purchased this a few months ago and i loved it so much i really stocked up on black friday. absolutely LOVE it!! :) PS your skin looks amazing wow!! whatever youve been using is really working for you, beautiful
Yes, if your skin does well with Tretinoin, definitely go for it. I used it for 20 yrs. Loved the results BUT got tired of the random flaking, peeling, burning, purging, irritation etc. Now I have the same results without any irritation and don't have to hassle with getting a prescription or. Drs appt etc.
Thanks for the discount code Sheri. It lowered the price by a lot! I almost forgot it until the last minute before I placed the order! I've been using Retin A micro for like 9-10 years, so I ordered the level 6 like you said you started with 👍🏽
Interesting product. Does your code work internationally? Here in Canda the strongest, prescribed retinol is %0.05 so am tempted to try something else.
Hello Sheri, I have purchased the Medik8 Crystal Retinal 3 having used retinol in the past but finding it too drying on my skin. Do you find in the winter months that this kind of product can't be used every night because it drys out the skin? I am currently only using the Medik8 Crystal Retinal 3 once a week and using the Derelict Self Esteem Beauty Skeet Serum twice a week. Thank you for your videos.
I like to use a moisturizer over top but it never dries out my skin. I'm also on the normal/oily side though but perhaps it is drying to some skin types. 💗 Thanks so much for sharing that. 🤗
@@michellewelling9074 I only use the Dermelect a few days a week since it's an exfoliator (either day or night) so if use it at night, I skip retinAl in that same routine. But if used during the day, I still do this exact retinal routine at night. Hope that helps.
That's awesome. I always got excited when I was able to bump up to a higher strength. Try to take before/after photos. I feel like when I look in the mirror every day, I don't notice the changes in my skin LOL....but when I compare to before photos, I'm always impressed.
I got the email too - and immediately placed my order! I think you influenced me to buy Medic8 quite some time ago... and I've never stopped. It's made an amazing difference in my skin. Love it! And can't wait to try this strength. I have never had any irritation from their products. Thank you!!

I was excited to see this video I have been using a mixture of expensive skincare and drugstore. Even tho I saw more results with the expensive it was just too much to do have been watching you for years live your videos I am definitely going to try this and their eye cream as well. Hope you have a great weekend Hugs Debbie
I love some super pricey products too. But I almost never spend a ton on cleansers or moisturizers. I splurge on treatment products. Their eye cream is amazing! Hope you have a wonderful weekend too!
Hi Sheri. Can you do a video on how to use the other products you like that are in the description box? Liquid peptide etc? Always TRUST your recommendations! Thank you
Hi there, I think I have a few videos sharing those but can't remember which videos. Lol Anywho, during day I would use the oxyr peptides, super c ferulic, liquid peptides then moisturizing SPF and at night ..same routine just replace the C serum with the Crystal Retinal. Hope that helps. 💗
So would I still use Dermelect Sleep serum underneath the Medik8 Retinal on certain nights? I have been loving the results and I love your videos. Keep them coming.. Thank you!
no and yes....I'm getting a ton of questions on this topic sooooo I will share in an upcoming video to help clarify. But for now, nope. Use your Dermelect only 2 or 3 nights a week (or during the day if you won't be outside, at the beach etc but still wear sunscreen) and on nights you aren't using Dermelect Self Esteem then use retinAL. Remember Dermelect Self Esteem is a totally different type of serum...it's an exfoliator and this product is a Vit A serum. Hope that helps for now but I will share HOW or why you would use them in the same routine in a video coming soon. 🤗
I just started watching your videos and love your beautiful skin and wonderful way about you. Your skin is amazing. I actually because of you boguht the Medik8 20 as I have been using tretinoin .01 and the Dermelect self esteem beauty sleep serum and the repair serum. Just tried it tonight litterally 10 minutes ago . Cant wait to see my skin in the morning.
Hi, you look radiant!! I know you suffer if melasma, so do I. If you were about to start your clearing melasma journey now, what’s the routine you would follow? Morning and night.
Thank you Sheri!❤ You are so beautiful My post menopausal facial skin is super sensitive and I’m going to try their 1st level retinal cream for sensitive skin. I’m hoping this will work for me because I’ve tried sandwiching tretinoin and still inflames my skin. It’s embarrassing to have a red face all the time!😢
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!! 🤗Oh I know what ya mean. I used Tret for soooo many years and some days I was fine but then randomly my skin would get red and flaky and burn and I had to carry my Avene Thermal Spring Water with me everywhere to extinguish the burning LOL I definitely don't miss those days.
Hi beautiful girl! Your skin looks stunning! How many nignts a week do you use this retinal? Ive been switching between Naturiam 5% and 10%, 4 to 5 days a week. Do you think once I've used up the Naturiam rentinal, I'd be good to try the 10% of the Medik8? Or do you think i should i purchase the 6% ? Also, i love your messy bun! One of these days, can you show us in slow motion how you do this? My hair is the same length as yours, but my bun always looks like poop.
Hi Stacy! I use it every night except for the nights I use my Dermelect Self Esteem Serum. But sometimes I use my Dermelect in my a.m. routine so then I can use this at night more....but probably about 5 nights a week I'd say. I've never bought any Naturium products but I always suggest starting low and slow with any Vit A product. Even with me using the highest strength Tretinoin for so many years, I still started with strength 6 but I probably could have started with strength 10 or even 20. My messy buns always look crazy LOL. If I brush my hair 1st, it won't work, but if my hair is gross and needs a wash, it works the best LOL 🤪💗 Hope you have something fun planned for the weekend!
I used RetinA for years. I started getting painful dry eye even though I avoided putting it around my eyes. So in the last month I’ve been watching a lot on organic hexane free castor oil. It increases blood flow which is good for my thyroid as well Loving the stuff. Check it out
Every retinol causes a rash on my face. Every sunscreen except the mineral ones causes hives on my face. I can use the products that contain Niacin or AHA/BHA without issues.
I used retinol for one month, my skin’s texture improved but the fat pads in my face got noticeable smaller. I also heard that another u wanted effect is the thinning of the skin.
Retinal doesn't thin the skin. It helps skin cells turn over more rapidly but definitely does not thin the skin. Are you using a lash growth serum? That can cause fat loss around the eyes if it has prostaglandins type ingredient it it. Yikes!
Thanks for the code Sheri! I have been using the 20 for almost 2 tubes I believe, lol, a tube lasts as u know a very long time so not positve. And that is how I justify paying the big price for it, is that it lasts for months! I do have a math question though. Do u know what the comparison of the 20 or 24 strength retinal would be to tretinon .1%? I don’t know how to figure this out…??? Thanks again! I always look forward to watching your videos! ❤️❤️❤️
I was so happy to see my code worked. Usually codes don't always work on new launches so I hope they don't make it unusable for this product. It's hard to do the conversion because it wouldn't really be accurate since it's based on formulation, stability and how the skin responds etc. But as far as performance, for me I was using the highest strength Tret for years (over 20 years using prescription Retin-A) And I have BETTER anti-aging results with Medik8 than I did with Tret. Plus I NEVER get the Retin-A "uglies" LOL Formulation makes a HUGE difference. But if I were to do the conversion, it would be closest to 0.05% prescription strength.
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheriThank u Sheri for taking your precious time to answer. U are probably right about the comparison of Tret and retinaldehyde. Maybe that’s why I have never heard anyone do this conversion, lol. It amazes me that u are having better results than u did with Tret. being truly a seasoned 20 year user! Thank u for always being the ginny pig and testing new products and sharing with all of us your experiences. I so enjoy watching your videos! 😊
I LOVE layering Sleep Glycolic with this. Oh no, I've heard some people say their skin doesn't do well with high peptide serums. Maybe just stick with spray water for hydration and plumping or an HA or glycolic serum...or a peptide serum without so many intense peptides.
Howdy, that will be my very next video...I promise. I'm getting a gazillion questions about this so I better clarify so no ones beautiful face falls off. 🤪
Yes I do all the time but I like to put the GF on 1st. And then my retinal. It depends on your skin to be honest. I use the highest strength 24. But I started at 6. There is a chart I popped up in the video that might help you decide a tad better which strength to start out at. Hope that helps.
Do you use this every night? How do incorporate the Dermelect products into your routine? I think I would have to start with a low strength of the Medik8 because my skin is very sensitive. Thank you for the videos that you do for us. I really enjoy them!
Yes I do! Well almost every night...if I use my Dermelect Self Esteem Sleep Serum at night, that's when I typically won't use this but otherwise YES, every single night. I often use my Dermelect serum during the day....and sunscreen of course. And yes if you have sensitive skin, the lowest strength (which is also the most affordable) is super duper gentle. I mean, even their retinal eye cream I use has more retinal in it than the lowest strength of the face retinal so it's meant for the most sensitive. 💜
This might help you. I started on 3 and after a while went to 6, all good but when I went to 10 after a bit I saw a wrinkle grow so I stopped number 10 and sure enough the wrinkle went away. The higher strength for some of us is not always good. Listen to your own body. Good luck.
Hi there! If your Dr is recommending Tretinoin I'd do what they think is best for your skin. However I used Tretinoin for over 20 years and while it is truly a fantastic product, I just had too many days where I had the Retin-A "uglies" and that got old. But if your insurance covers it and it's easy to get the prescription, give it a go. But with this RetinAL, I love that I can use a high strength and NEVER have the "uglies" (no irritation, no burning, no purging...just heathy, firm, glowy skin) 💜
I’m a long time tret user so this is very interesting to me , what do you think makes this product so different considering the retinal is half way down the ingredient deck , do you think it’s the moisturizing properties with it ? Or what do you find different from tret ? Thanks !
It isn't moisturizing. So I use a separate moisturizer. But where something is on the ingredients isn't a factor when considering the actual strength and percentage of a product. If it's the very last ingredient with no data on the actual percentage in a product....THEN I'm skeptical. (like how you see a product marketed as a retinol cream but no retinol except last ingredient LOL). But this one states the exact strength in each one. Regarding why I like it better than Tret, I have another detailed video why I stopped using my prescription Retin-A. But in a nutshell, yes it is a powerhouse product and I mainly used it for acne and then of course the anti-aging benefits followed. But it far too often caused the retin-A "uglies" for me. It's also annoying getting a prescription and refills. I've gone thru the easier online companies to get it too but still a hassle and lots of people's insurance won't cover it unless it's for acne. I do still like to use it on my knees and other places that don't get irritated. But if Tret is working great for you, definitely don't stop using it. No need to use this instead. I just find Medik8's formula to be just as potent but without any irritation and much more enjoyable to use and to easily layer with other products....oh and this is very stable....unlike Tret or retinOL. Hope that helps.💕
I’ve been using tret for 20 years so it’s not irritating to me and I combine it with Obagi fx so that prob helps ! I understand that Tret affects everyone differently though so great that this works so well for you.
Yes the new Medik8 24 is 0.24%. It is the highest on the market. I also tried the one from The Ordinary (they sent it to me to test when it 1st launched). I honestly don't believe that it is 0.2%....as far as performance. Not saying they are lying but it just doesn't do the same for my skin what Medik8 20 strength (0.20%) does for my skin. Not sure if it's just how TO is formulated etc Because retinAL is typically pricier and harder to stabilize so I was a tad skeptical that it was really that strong to begin with. Formulation is super important. BUT for me it seemed like a strength 3 at best as far as performance. Also it annoyed me how deceiving the price and amount (ounces) was. It's cheaper for sure BUT you get such tiny amount. It does feel really nice on the skin and I think people on a tight budget who want a retinAL may really enjoy it. But I just don't find it to perform as a "high strength product". It's all about formulation. I was a little bummed but it's still a nice product...just not one I'd recommend for an advanced Vit A user.
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheri i agree i have tried The ordinary to and it is much lighter in color then Medik8 retinal what tels me lower prosentene of active retinal
Are you referring to their Liquid Peptide Serum in the glass bottle? I use it day and/or nightly AFTER any treatment product....so IF I use it at night, I use it after this Retinaldehyde and before moisturizer. If during the day, after a Vit C serum and BEOFRE moisturizer. 🤗
There is only 1 product on the market I know of that can help. It's Catalyst from Osmosis. But it does take a LONNNGGG time. The only other thing I know of is going to a Dermatologist for laser. I try to be gentle with my skin, no scrubs, no hot water from the shower, etc. That can make more little broken capillaries 💜
@ I bought the catalyst md dna repair is that the one? How long do you think it would take I was concerned that the lascorbic acid in that I was reacting to it seemed like when I tried it in July I noticed more so I switched to Peter Thomas Roth thd… maybe I need to finish the bottle on osmosis and stick with it. Thank I for your help!!!
Hi, ok I'm convinced to get this but i just wondered, why did you stop using your tretinoin? I use Retin A every night. not sure if the media 8 would be better, thought tretinoin was the best thing to use.
Tretinoin is fabulous. But I stopped because once in a while I would randomly get irritation and then deal with peeling, irritation etc. I wanted something that worked just as amazing BUT never caused irritation. This RetinAl in Medik8 is encapsulated so it is a slow release but high strength so it works just the same for my skin but no peeling or irritation ever. Tret is less expensive though if your insurance pays for it but it's really a personal preference. If you love your Tret though, stick with that. But I much prefer my Medik8. And I mention in another video I believe but if I want an "at home peel" I use the Medik8 Sleep Glycolic serum and then layer the Medik8 retinal and my skin looks like I had a gentle peel at a spa...without having to go to a spa LOL. 💜
@maureengreer2691 I only use the Dermelect Sleep Serum a couple days a week since it's an exfoliator. If I use it at night, I don't use this. Hope that helps clarify.
Hi, I just found your channel. Thank you. About 2 months ago I started a new skin care line from peaches skin care. I’m interested in learning about skin care. I just wish I’d started this journey when I was much younger.
Hi there! So happy to have you here. Funny story, the owner of that company used to leave messages here on my channel and tell my subscribers NOT to follow me but to follow her instead. I guess she didn't know I too could see her comments LOL 🤣 I blocked her from commenting anymore. But definitely stick with those products if they work well for you. I hope you have fun on your skincare journey. I LOVE skincare and seeing how I'm able to change my skin over time. But it's ok that you are new to skincare. It's NEVER too late to start. Take before/after pics so you can see the amazing results. But don't forget your sunscreen. I wish I had started using spf sooner in life but that's ok. Hope you're having a great day so far! 💜
It's so weird because she really doesn't need to do that. If her products are that good, they will sell themselves, without trying to create drama on other people's channels. I actually see her post stuff like that on other beauty channels too. It'ss unfortunate because I think she's really pretty but ugly behavior for sure. @janehuey9934
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheri Hi Sheri, I am a real newbie when it comes to retinal products. I am getting the number 1 for sensitive skin. My question is, how do you start a retinal and how do you know when to go to the next strength? Thank you for your channel and sound skincare advice.
@@redannie86 Hi there! I would start slow and use only once a week (at night) and increase to 2 nights then 3 nights etc each week. If your skin tolerates the lowest strength well, then increase to the next level once finished. But for example, when I made it to level 10, I used 2 more tubes of level 10 before I bumped it up. SO it will really just depend on your skin. And don't forget your sunscreen every single day, rain or shine...that's the MOST important. And of course, always ask your Dermatologist to be sure what's best for your beautiful face! Hope you have great results! 🤗
Hi there Sheri. I have been on an off retinols. I see that this brand has beginners and up. I also am challenged with melasma and would like to start this brand but since I'm not new to retinol I've used truth treatment 1% and others 1%, which on would you recommend me starting with this brand. Your skin is absolutely wonderful. Appreciate a response thank you God Bless
Hi there, I popped up a chart in the video so that may help you decide what's best for your skin. I started with level 6 even though I was using the highest strength tretinoin for 20 years and TT 5% BUT I probably could have started at 10. But really depends on your own skin. I always suggest starting low and slow to be safe then just work your way up. 💗
Hi Sheri, I've been using Truth Treatments highest level retinol for 4 years with no problem. What level of this brand do you think I should start with? Thanks
Even though I used the TT 5% retinOL, I still started with level 6 in this retinAL and worked my way up BUT I think I could have started with 10 or 20. So it really depends on your skin and how often you used the TT 5%. I was also well acclimated to the highest strength Tretinoin, but I always find it safest to start low and slow...even though I can be a bit impatient and wanted to jump to the mac daddy highest strength haha!
I love the scent of it -smells like a cinnamon pastry- but I don’t mind fragrance in my skincare. I can see how people that don’t like fragrance wouldn’t like it. It really is a beautiful formula though isn’t it?
Hi Sheri I have very crepey skin on my arms - Im fair skinned and have stayed out of the sun but Im also 63. Let me know what I should expect with your recommendation. Thank you in advance for addressing my issue today!
Are you wanting to use this on your arms? Not sure if that's what you're asking. But City Beauty has a nice cream for crepey skin. This would also be nice but you also want a gentle exfoliator ir maybe Urea and lots of hydration and moisture. I always put my body products on when standing in the shower BEFORE I dry off and then just pat dry. Or I apply immediately after on slightly damp skin. Here are some crepey body skin product recommendations: 1. City Beauty Invisicrepe Body Balm aspireiq.go2cloud.org/SH758 15% OFF w/ DISCOUNT CODE: GRACEFULBEAUTY 2. PREQUEL UREA BODY LOTION go.shopmy.us/p-5729767 (most affordable and its a HUGE bottle) 3. AFFORDABLE SHOWER OIL to soften the skin and smooth crepiness (use on wet skin) amzn.to/3X0DHN6 That should get ya started in your research for what's best for you. Hope this helps 💕 Also even if you stay out of the sun, if you are sitting next to a window or inside a car, walking in the grocery store etc, I still suggest wearing sunscreen on the arms. That amount of UV radiation is still causing crepiness and loss of collagen in the skin so I wear SPF EVERY SINGLE DAY on my arms and hands too. This is my FAVORITE sunscreen for my arms and it is a luxurious feeling serum and doesn't get all over stuff and doesn't leave annoying marks in the car....and it's affordable amzn.to/3ADgv03
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheriwow, this info and body cream recommendation was priceless. Also,Thank you to the person posing the question about creepy skin and Thanks a billion, Sheri. This is a huge problem for me.
Yes I LOVE my TNS. But I don't like sharing it unless it's on a HUGE SALE. People freak out when they see the price and leave sooo many crazy comments...and some get angry LOL It is crazy expensive though. It's my 1 skincare splurge that I never want to be without. 💗
I am currently using Retin A .10 percent like 5 times a week. Can I use the Miledik8 24? I really would like to try the product to help with my melasma.
Lots of people have said they still use their Retin-A but skip it a few days a week and use this in place of. But of course, I would always ask your Dermatologist to know what's best for your beautiful skin. For your melasma, I would always use a tinted spf and reapply every few hours... even if you aren't going in direct sun. Also I like to incorporate a few different other ingredients in my routine day and night for melasma. I have quite a few detailed melasma videos here on my channel. Here is one of them ua-cam.com/video/DXDjUE_vGio/v-deo.htmlsi=HrNP91unEQkjM6-k Sometimes other products we are using (like LED masks, face steamers, other ingredients, soy lattes, hot yoga) can be the culprit to making our melasma even darker. Melasma is super annoying LOL but manageable. 💜
Just curious, how does this compare to you other favorite “Truth Treatment Systems 5% Retinol Gel”. I thought you loved this one too. Is the medik8 better???
I haven't talked about the TT 5% in almost 2 years. I repurchased it a year ago and it was defective....but not the companies fault...it was 110 degrees outside and sat in the mail truck for an entire day baking LOL BUT I have an upcoming video about the differences and what's better etc since many have asked this question. 💗
I would love to see your video on how they both compare. I am about to ran out of my retinol and want to know which of the 2 would be a better choice for me. Thank you for your response 🙏!
Hi Sheri, I have been wanting to try this product but do not know which number to start with. I've been using Curology 0.06 strength Tretinoin for a couple of years now. Do you think that i should start with 20?
If you are happy with your Curology and don't get the retin-A "uglies" then stick with it BUT if you want to try something new, then I would probably start at level 6 or 10. I used the highest Tretinoin 0.10 for 20 years and I still started with level 6 just to be safe. But I think I could have easily started with 10. 💜
Shari, do you use the medik8 every night? I use the 20 strength couple times per week, mainly to stretch the longevity of the product not bc I’m sensitive to it. Just curious
Thank you...I must have missed that...duh! Do you recommend this brand as far as best results? Oh yes...just wanted to tell you that you are so beautiful even w/o makeup❤❤❤
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheri thank you so much. I will give it a try. Right now I am having to lather benzole peroxide to prevent acne. So hopefully I can implement this product soon. Did this product give you initial breakout and soon after kept your skin clear?
I had just bought another strength 20 a few weeks ago but I will just use that on my chest and backs of hands so I can use this new strength 24. Super excited about this one! 💕
Might be a good time to try. My dermatologist retired and I’m stuck using Retin A 0.025 every night and see nothing to irritation and no difference in my skin. Want to bump up to 0.05 but need to find a new derm. Because my eyes stay open a sliver at night I use Retin A at 4pm and wash off at midnight so it doesn’t transfer from my pillow to my eyes. Did you put this around your eyes? Do you think it dries down enough that I might be able to sleep in it.
Yes I use it near my eyes...same way I do an eye cream so not like right up to the eye ball but you know what I mean 🤪 BUT YES, that's one thing I love about this is it dries down so well. But it could also be used during the day and I just wear a sunscreen over top. 💜

I love my Tretoin, it took me awhile to adjust but I love the results. I also added azelaic acid from The Ordinary once a day and it certainly has helped my sun spots, melasma etc. I have very very sensitive skin and these work for me so I'm very happy. Love your videos and glowing skin
Oh yes, I'm with ya, I love Azelaic Acid. It's such a great product for so many things. 💗
How often do you use the Azelaic acid?
Did you have any itching/burning sensation from the Azeliac acid ?

That's awesome. That's one huge thing I love about it is not having any irritation ever. 💙
Got my fingers crossed for this going on sale black Friday, then I'll be jumping on it.
@GracefulBeautyWithSheri soo true 👍🏻 💜
Hows your back now@@amritaarya2453
IMO the best thing a person can do is pile on the sunscreen. And wear a hat. When I started doing that my skin changed profoundly. My face hasn’t seen the sun in 20 years and I have very nice skin as a result.
I am a tall women who's a tomboy, what type of hat lol
I just bought last night I’ve been on 20 level I was so excited to see 24 ! Glad to see you love it as well
I know right, I ordered it so fast when I saw they had the new strength! So excited!
yes many blessings and keep up the great videos ❤
Wow Sheri!!! a Medik8 24.. I also use 20 also with no problem…. Oily skin, over 60. Off to get me some of this.
I know right, when I saw they launched this I could not wait to get my hands on it. Super excited and I was so impressed seeing the before/afters on their website. Let me know how it works for you.
@GracefulBeautyWithSheri what's your best neck product?
thank you for bringing us great products.
Glad you like them!
Trying these new amazing products thank you so much sweetie and, I appreciate the discount ❤
The discount definitely helps. Hope you love it!
I just bought Dr. Rajani's retinol A serum too. Same with my nasolabial lines!
Yes it’s the retinAL products that are yellow in color. 😎😎😎
I would love to try these products. Perhaps I can put them on my Christmas list with my husband.

Hi Sheri, I’ve been using Medic8 Crystalized Retinaldhyde for almost one year. Iam almost out of 10, so excited to go up to 20; then 24. I also use Tret 0.05% for 2 nights then this one for 2 nights. I love it.
Hi Karla! That's awesome! That's a great way to rotate them.
Wow, the colour of the Crystal 20 is much more apricot in colour. I live in Sweden and there is just one place I can get the Crystal 20 from. Now I want the Crystal 24… obviously😅 Great video! ❤
Hopefully they end up selling it where you are. I don't see any other stores selling it online just yet since it just launched today but I'm sure they will eventually.
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheri Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 😉
That's a great idea to use the Tret a couple days a week. I've seen other Derms say they use their Tret once a week and a retinal the rest. Great tip!
❤❤❤ all the love and prayers!
I started with the lowest strength and 3 years later I’m now using the 10. I might bump up to 20 next time. Thanks for the video 😊
Beautiful! You remind me of Diane Lane❤
Thank you for your time and kindness. Simple but effective!! What about eyes, any specific night routine?? 🤗
Thank you! I keep my night routine pretty simple BUT I often use an additional eye cream and/or eye oil before my moisturizer...but you don't have to. 💜
Medik8 and Verso do excellent retinol eye serums for sensitive skin. Worth trying, absolutely.
Hi, lovely video! Soylent Adapalene be better ? Cheaper too
Adapalene is great for dark spots from acne and great at preventing acne as well.

Love the crystal retinol… I hated the texture of my tretinoin and the Medik8 is a lovely texture.
I agree 👍 💯 💚
I haven't tried the retinoate yet. What do you like about it?💗
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheri Oh that's the hardest question because it's a preventative product as well as one that does PRECISELY what it says 'on the tin', y'know? Here are my top five reasons to recommend those two products:
1. Excellent for truly reactive, sensitive skin.
2. Highly effective for people with unclarified skin or dark patches left behind from old zits & acne and excellent at keeping breakouts away altogether.
3. Excellent for shallow lines turning into wrinkles
4. Genuinely brightens skin and smooths skin-- no rough bumps and more diffused pores.
5. The entire time I used it I didn't feel like my skin aged at all (when I stopped using it and just went without treatment altogether, all of the above concerns came back to say hello.)
If it's within your budget, try these two products.

Isn’t Tretinoin the gold standard, then if cannot tolerate the next best thing is Retinaldahyde? I get confused about that 🤔
Yes, if your skin does well with Tretinoin, definitely go for it.
I've been using Retin A micro for like 9-10 years, so I ordered the level 6 like you said you started with 👍🏽
I love a good discount. 💜 Hope you love this too!

Hello Sheri, I have purchased the Medik8 Crystal Retinal 3 having used retinol in the past but finding it too drying on my skin.
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheri Thank you for always answering my questions! Really appreciate you.
Use Bakuchiol instead of retinol
Hi Sheri, thanks for sharing. Please what neck firming and lifting cream can you recommend. Thanks for your anticipated response 🙏
My favorite is this one howl.me/cl8YJThR02R
If I stop using it, I regret it LOL and go right back to it.

Thanks dear!❤️ checking it out now.
Yikes!
Retinol absolutely does not thin the skin. Dermatologist here.
Oh, thank you. I have melasma, will try your recommendations
Hope you like it!
If you’ve used tretinoin for several years can you start at a 20 or 24 serum?
I’m ordering 20 then 24
I’ve about had it with Retinol. However effective it may be, it’s expensive and to me it doesn’t do enough to make it worth the cost.
I just can't get behind paying 139 usd for 1 ounce when I can get the tretinoin for $25 cdn and 30 grams.
You got me started on the Crystal Retinal 6 and sleep glycolic. I enjoy both. For some reason their peptide serum doesn’t agree with me.
I LOVE layering Sleep Glycolic with this. Oh no, I've heard some people say their skin doesn't do well with high peptide serums. Maybe just stick with spray water for hydration and plumping or an HA or glycolic serum...or a peptide serum without so many intense peptides.
Hi, question: when using Medik8 at night, do you then wash it off in the morning?
Hi Sherri! How do you incorporate the dermelect serum and retinal? How many days a week do you do each?
Howdy, that will be my very next video...I promise. I'm getting a gazillion questions about this so I better clarify so no ones beautiful face falls off. 🤪
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheri Thanks so much, I look forward to it! ❤
How would this be combined with the Dermelect Self Esteem serum? Ty😊
Don't combine them. I'll be sharing details in the next video 💕
Don't combine them. I'll be sharing details in the next video. Getting a lot of questions about this. I'll for sure clarify. 💕
Hi Sheri can I use this Medik8 Retinal product with my GF serum? Also what strength should I use for the retinal?
Yes I do all the time but I like to put the GF on 1st. And then my retinal. It depends on your skin to be honest. I use the highest strength 24. But I started at 6. There is a chart I popped up in the video that might help you decide a tad better which strength to start out at. Hope that helps.
@GracefulBeautyWithSheri thank you so much for your kind responses 🙏 ❤️
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheri Thank you so much. I may try the one for sensitive skin and work my way up if I can!
This might help you. I started on 3 and after a while went to 6, all good but when I went to 10 after a bit I saw a wrinkle grow so I stopped number 10 and sure enough the wrinkle went away. The higher strength for some of us is not always good. Listen to your own body. Good luck.

Would it be suitable for coloured people, would it not make dark spots darker?
Hi! Should I give this a chance before trying Tretinoin?
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheri Oh wow, I might give this a chance now.. thank you!
@@katyagordeeva944 Don't forget your sunscreen whichever one you choose 💕
Forgot to add that I am 55 years old and post menopausal.
I love retinaldehyde! I use Truology. But I still like my Tretinoin 1-2 a week 😅 my dermatologist swears by it…
Thanks for sharing!!
If you are over 55, I’m definitely getting! ❤
I'm 52. 💜 hope you love it as much as I do.
Thanks Sheri❤.... do you know the percentage on the 24? Using the ordinary retinaL has 0.2%.
Think ur amazing
I wolder the same, it must be stronger then the ordinary.
Love your channel, I've been using the the 10th strength 3 tubes to be exact. Can I skip the 20 and go straight to 24?
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheri i agree i have tried The ordinary to and it is much lighter in color then Medik8 retinal what tels me lower prosentene of active retinal
@@annieleong5784 I probably wouldn't, even though I'd want to LOL. I would at least use 1 - 2 tubes of the 20 before jumping up to strength 24.
When do you use the Medik8 crystal peptide serum?
Are you referring to their Liquid Peptide Serum in the glass bottle? I use it day and/or nightly AFTER any treatment product....so IF I use it at night, I use it after this Retinaldehyde and before moisturizer. If during the day, after a Vit C serum and BEOFRE moisturizer. 🤗
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheri Thank you!
I like their retinaldshydes but not a fan of the smell. But forcing myself because nice results. Just wish they would get rid of the smell.
Hi, do you have any suggestions for broken capillaries?
Are you onow longer using the Dermelct since the new product came out?
The Dermelect product I use is not a Vit A. It is an exfoliator. 2 totally different type products. 💜
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheri I understand, but you are showing a nighttime routine so I'm not sure how you incorporate. Thank you 😊
@maureengreer2691 I only use the Dermelect Sleep Serum a couple days a week since it's an exfoliator. If I use it at night, I don't use this. Hope that helps clarify.

Hi Sheri,
I am a real newbie when it comes to retinal products.
@@GracefulBeautyWithSheri I with you on impatient! Very helpful. Thank you for your time.

Hi Sheri
I have very crepey skin on my arms - Im fair skinned and have stayed out of the sun but Im also 63.
Here are some crepey body skin product recommendations:
1. City Beauty Invisicrepe Body Balm aspireiq.go2cloud.org/SH758 15% OFF w/ DISCOUNT CODE: GRACEFULBEAUTY
2. PREQUEL UREA BODY LOTION go.shopmy.us/p-5729767 (most affordable and its a HUGE bottle)
3. AFFORDABLE SHOWER OIL to soften the skin and smooth crepiness (use on wet skin) amzn.to/3X0DHN6
That should get ya started in your research for what's best for you. Hope this helps 💕
Also even if you stay out of the sun, if you are sitting next to a window or inside a car, walking in the grocery store etc, I still suggest wearing sunscreen on the arms.
