Thanks for uploading this video, fantastically well prepared car. I have an RF87 myself, in same colour as yours too!
My father used to race Formula Ford up until I was three years old.
He was damn good too.
Car looks absoultely MINT man! Driving a newer formula ford myself which just has gone through a huge rebuilt :)
Battery terminals are supposed to be covered if you want it to pass Annual Tech.
Car looks like an exercise in “how to copy a Swift without copying a Swift”.
@gmc59ful No slicks in Formula Ford. Don't know about mufflers on new FFs - this is an old one and whether they're allowed or not it probably comes down to cost. For me anyway ;-)
Charles Holden.
Raced mostly in Central and Southern US.
Great Vid,just wondering(if you know) why do you use such big mufflers instead of say a supertrapp muffler like in Canada?
at some championships or at hillclimb you need a katalysator... thats not the orginal one, orginal was a pipe.. that is what i know... nice car btw :) is it a bold engine?
Just wondering, why does everyone(that I have seen) in Britain use those huge mufflers? Instead of say a supertrapp like we do in Canada?and how do the Avon tires go in rain, and can you guys use slick tires now?
Cheers
I'm thinking about buying one of this, but where do you find them? And how much do they really cost
Well it's not that old :-) do you fit it well(like for leg space and such )?
how much did you pay for it?
i have a formula ford van diemen out of the year 1977 that big mufflers is standard on thise cars i love my blue one ond there are no slick for formula ford
