If I remember correctly, they only augmented him with nanites. They didn't replace or put a remote disconnect in anything...so even with an emp, he should be fine however his nanites won't. This scene makes little sense.
I'm pretty sure the nanites are what is keeping him going tho. Otherwise he'd die. That was the whole point of the ending that he kept overclocking his nanites and eventually they'd lose power and he'd die.
@@ThePartisan13 at the end, his nanites we're depleted before he died. What killed him was the explosion...Without the nanites he couldn't survive it.
@@anaielcelestine3630 yeah, I feel like the nanites are the only thing they COULD use to remotely shut him down if they found a way to actually shut him down....otherwise without them. He's a free, normal human being.
