Hello, witches and wizards! I'm back with another theory video and this one is a doozy! I'm discussing how the sisters could have won and where they went wrong!
I totally agree: Winnie and her sisters could have won if she didnt have revenge strongly on her mind. Winnie had all the children at her doorstep but turned them all down for dani, i feel like when sarah said “winnie we will make more potion because winnie we have the book”. winnie wanted to show that she is more in control of the situation by yelling at sarah “we haven’t the time”. And if sarah had just explained herself a little bit more then maybe winnie would have listened and sarah could have saved her sisters and herself.
One of my biggest gripes with the original Hocus Pocus was how they made the Sanderson sisters dumb for the sake of a 'happy ending', which was only done because that's what Disney wanted. Kirschner, Ortega, and Garris were all initially set out to make a straight up dark Disney Horror film which had never been done before up to that point. I could be wrong, but I remember something about Mick Garris saying he was a fan of the film 'Halloween III: Season of the Witch' by John Carpenter that involved witches using masks and technology to sacrifice children and it ended on a vague point. It was one of the few rare Horror films where you're not sure if the villain wins, but that there's a huge possibility they could've. He wanted a similar style ending for Hocus Pocus and it would just be a one off, but Disney turned down the idea because they didn't want to scare children because god forbid a Horror movie with witches scares people.
Nice theory, Casey, I totally agree!!! That's why the whole scene in HP1 where Winifred tells Mary and Sarah their plan to take out all the children in Salem hits so different now. I get that Dani was trying to save herself from them after they captured her by insulting Winifred and she's a badass for doing that BUT like you said, if she and Mary had just listened to Sarah about making more of the life potion to use on Jay, Ice, or any of the other kids that were showing up at their door instead of going after Dani, the sisters would've won. That whole scene stresses me out!! 😂 I get it, it's Disney, they're the villains and we should hate them but.....I'm just saying.
Hello what a another great video you made and great fanfiction story aswell you are a good storyteller especially when it comes to the Sanderson sisters i love hearing stories about them i love reading stories about them too always gets me in a good mood 😇🤗
The film was meant to focus more on the witches, and not on the kids, the first trailer shows it quite well, so here's my idea of the ending, maybe the witches could've been sent back to their time period before they stole Emily's life force so they could find another way to stay immortal and young forever. However, after their adventure in the modern world, Winifred hatches up another plan, to return to the modern day world and run amock!

That's why I tear this scene up to this day and will continue to do so until the day I die.
I know they're technically the villains but...I always root for the sisters!
Who doesn’t
There mostly the reason fans watch the movie
I think we all do. They are the best!
I knew it was needed but of course that’s why they lost.
Yeah the plot demanded it 😅

I will definitely be rooting for the witches in the sequel. Everyone will be haha. Thanks for the shoutout.
I love that twist also tomorrow is my birthday, turning 23
Happy Birthday!
What if they used 1/2 of the potion so they can suck up both at the same time
You should totally explain a video about how you’d want Hocus Pocus 2 too be
I would if I actually knew what I wanted 😅

whooot!
Why chose logic when you can chose revenge?
*How the movie should’ve ended*
(I still love the heros but it wouldn’t hurt too have the villains win)
please laugh comment made me laugh
It worked!! Haha!
