    Great video, thank you for sharing.
    May I ask if this bug has happened to you before and how did you fix it?
    The engine runs on 3 cylinders and the injector light is on.

    • @mkmechanical
      @mkmechanical  Рік тому +1

      If it's running on 3, then you are looking most likely into a faulty injector, definitely check the wiring as well, and if you can, put a scope on each injector plug to see if injectors are getting signal. It's shame that those vans can't be connected to OBD readers, but a genuine tool, so if you want to get fault codes, then you have to go to Iveco

    Did you really need to take off bumper and headlights and the grill structure ? Could it be done with all this on van?
    How long did the whole job take, is fitting the cambelt easy on these engines.

      The time taking the front off will be easily compensated with a time saved by easy accessibility ( just make your life easier and don't bust your balls ). Easy job, about 5 hours

    How is the power steering on that van, heavy or very light? Can you turn steering wheel easily when stopped and on tarmac? is there a filter on the power steering ?? I have same van/engine, steering is very heavy when stopped, it's bearable when driving and moving, but is it suppose to be light? As I have no steering noise, or issues with pump, just heavy steering when stationary.

      Hello
      Very easy steering indeed. Try to check you pump relieve valve

      @@isaackent2355 It's usually under bung on the pressure side of the pump. Check for the broken or fatigued spring / worn-out seat on the ball

    Hi, i have just bought one of these but can't seem to find any info on cambelt change interval. Do you know what the correct KM's to change is? Great video. :)

      I have the same engine in a Citroen. I think it is around 120000km. It seems to vary depending if it is a Fiat, Peugeot or Citroen.

    • @Friedermanns
      @Friedermanns Рік тому

      I can say that there is a general interval depending on climate/region and model. If you have no way to know it, check first if the belt has cracks, seems too dry or it looks too grey instead of its black original color.
      As a basic rule, If your purchased your van on 2nd hand, and odometer shows near 90.000 kms change the cambelt asap. After that, every 80.000 kms.or a bit more. The change operation must be done carefully, not in hurry. Take your time to adjust fine all parts before assembling.
      Best wishes ! 🚐

    How long does it take to take off bumper, and headlights and grill? Is it a big deal to take it off?

    Does fuel pump timing matter since it is common rail?

    • @mkmechanical
      @mkmechanical  4 місяці тому

      Yes, you want HP pump plunger to have pressure stroke when the injector is activated

    • @turbogrunnen
      @turbogrunnen 4 місяці тому

      @@mkmechanical Thank you for the reply. I have now discovered that this is indeed the case :( apparently even the marking of the pump can be correct but the pump does not run on time. Do you perhaps have a tip for me on how I can discover whether the pump is on time?

    • @mkmechanical
      @mkmechanical  4 місяці тому

      @@turbogrunnen What's your issue exactly
      ? Pump should be located by the key to the pulley so unless someone didn't put a key on the shaft, your timing marks should be ok

      Apperantly pumptiming does not matter. It was a turbo vacuum sensor

    In conclusion, push rods are the best 😁

      I have seen pushrod engines with worn-out ends and broken valves on 2000hrs. Anything has its cons and pros, but everything has to be regularly serviced.

    • @Friedermanns
      @Friedermanns Рік тому

      Estoy de acuerdo sobre la falta de explicaciones y que va muy rápido. En realidad, quite la música, retrase el vídeo con las opciones de reproducción y entonces se puede ver mucho mejor lo que desmonta. Lo que importa es el orden de desmontaje para poder montar una vez la correa se haya cambiado.
      Sin embargo, este vídeo es para personas ya iniciadas en Mecánica, lo que significa que no comenta nada porque no es necesario para los iniciados.
      Le tomará más tiempo, pero puede hacerlo mirando el orden de este vídeo.
      Saludos cordiales.
