i’ve gone to a small school my whole life, so i was considering going to a bigger university, but listening to you talk abt the perks of a smaller university is making me reconsider hehehe
And your major sounds intense! And it’s great you were able to meet people to connect with anyway - I think college is what you make of it and glad you had a good experience
I do not know much about the schools but I am glad that you could decide on one :) It is soo cool that it is easy to find housing! It was the same for us in Hungary and I have to say that is really great, it takes away a lot of weight! Also having a good connection with professors is so so cool! and wow study sessions at their house ?! so awesome!
I am concerned about the religious aspect and the 3 required religious classes and the mandatory convocations. If a person is not religious at all, how uncomfortable will it be? Additionally, can you talk about the diversity in terms of race and socioeconomic status? I’ve gone to public school my whole life and am used diverse atmospheres. Thank you.
Hey! I loved the video! I am also a potential regents bio majors and I just had a few questions. 1. I’m not sure if you are furthering your education, but would you say that Pepperdine prepares science majors for med/ grad school? 2. I know you said there wasn’t a lot of options within your specific major. Is there anyway to specialize at all? 3. How are the research opportunities there? Sorry for all the questions lol. I am just trying to get as much info as I can before I commit somewhere 😁.
Are summer classes mandatory? I'm afraid they'll be factored in my cost of attendance. Already factored in, it'd be 100k. Could I choose to opt out of those courses?
I'm going to Pepperdine next year as a biology major! Few questions, do earthquakes happen often? does it get that hot (no ac in dorms)? do teacher offer lots of support when it comes to exams/finals? how is the food? thanks!! ;)
hey so I live in Los Angeles and earthquakes aren't always happening and they're not that bad. sometimes in Malibu, they're a little bit scary because you're up in the canyons but don't worry. Also, malibu is a cooler area since it is near the beach but it still can get pretty hot and the dorms don't have AC (so bring a fan!). The food is meh, but the pizza bar is really good and u can walk to get some food in other places. The professors are really dope, from what I hear, and the classes are small so they can work closely with students and help them out more often. The school has clubs and organizations that give a lot of support for finals week. btw i know all of this because my cousin goes there and Im going there in the fall too haha. see you in the fall. go waves!
Mary is spot on with her answer! I'd also like to add that you receive as much support as you ask for. Don't be afraid to ask your professors for extra help, because at the end of the day, it's what will benefit you! Good luck & Go Waves!
Will be doing a general Q&A this Sunday!! DM on IG or comment here ANY type of questions you have, any advice you need, etc!!

Ooh this is interesting cos I go to a much bigger school and can’t imagine having a close knit campus :0
LOL yeah i cant imagine what a big campus feels like!!
Same I have been in big schools my whole life so a smaller school will feeel so weird!
I just graduated college in my country lol ☹️
Does Pepperdine has master degree programs?
