Simon, do you believe that how liverpool fell from grace in the 80’s is a serious proposition for Manchester United if they don’t do something dramatic quickly and what do you see that dramatic action being ?
Man Utd have never gotten all English clubs banned from European competition for 5 years, so there is no comparison! LFC put the whole of English football back ten years, not just their own club!

Auba has been left out the team for a number of games and doesn’t look like returning but what he did in comparison to lukaku was nothing and he has only had to miss one game why has auba been treated so bad?
Auba isn’t needed. Arteta has found out that Martinelli works harder and brings more to the team. He’s probably on a quarter of Aubas wage as well. Lukaku on the other hand is needed and isn’t surplus to requirement
Inter were told that selling Hakimi to Psg is enough. After selling him, Conte wasnt happy and left. Simone Inzaghi came in and Lukaku looked like he was staying. But the Inter directors probably thought that getting a 100m for a player approaching 30 was too good to turn down and replaced him with Dzeko and Correa. Meanwhile, Inter are playing the best football in decades.
That's a lie. They won the league last season and were great under Mourinho.

@@sukhdevr3489 it's hard to replace Hakimi and after seeing him being solid for Holland at the euros I was optimistic, but he started very sluggishly and seems like he is all Brawn and no brains sometimes. But after darmians injury, he has been getting more playtime and he's been quite solid since. Btw I feel Everton did really well (atleast on paper) to get the 2 new young fullbacks in(mykolenko and the Scot). Maybe a return to the old deadly Baines/Coleman combo. Kinda strange how Rafa doesn't seem to rate digne
@@adrianokuzman538 I think Rafa is forcing Digne out so he can sign players because we have FFP problems. Our other sellable assets are Richarlison, DCL and Pickford who are in more important positions. Baines and Coleman would've done even better in a back 5 but we never had a manager that used it regularly. We were close to getting Tuchel in 2013 but we got Martinez instead.

@Gillie Monger Oh definitely! Better performances needed and possible. I was talking more generally... Year on year. Not just this season. So proud of what we've shown can be done running a club well and in a sustainable way, and we can beat anyone on our day with our starting 11 all fit and firing. In knockout cup games you can hope for City to stumble but sadly think over a 38 game season we cannot compete consistently enough with the sheer quality in squad depth, even with Klopp and the great team he's got round him.

Question for next week: Do you think that for a guy like Levy, wouldn't it make more business sense to invest in players this January and back Conte (since other competitors are struggling with loads of issues which don't seem to have a quick fix) even though the prices will be inflated, to really try and grab a place in the champions league and position spurs better for next season? Wouldn't grabbing that top 4 be better business than trying to save a little on the price to buy the players?
