Nice, remember how me and some guys from school, had a band and we tried real hard, Mimmi quit and Bonnie got married. It wasn't the summer of 69', it was a bit later...Lol. Thanks Tomlin, great choice. Well the 80 000 subscribers speaks for itself. I take you very serious mate ;) 🇲🇶
Sorry Tomlin, I'm just getting around to taking your lesson . . . and I'm glad that I just learned the lick. Many thanks for your ecellent instructions. Barry G.
Second position minor pentatonic/blues scale will works over this song you can do a chug on the 1-2 draw to the 3-4 blow and then do a lick on starting on the 4 draw .
Lovin the variety you throw at us every week Tomlin !! Hey how about when you introduce your tune of the week , let us "not so musically inclined" folks know the approximate beats/min to set the metronome at when you say what key its in. I have trouble setting my metronome to match you. That'd be great .....Keep on keeping on!!
Hey im a fan of your work im learning so much from you. Your great! I am wondering if you can make a video step by step of a song that Indiara Sfair plays and it is a blues song its so deep and emotional. Can you please take a look?
Great lesson, as usual, Tomlin! But maybe you have some insight for me. I recently bought a Manji and I'm finding it much harder to play than my Hohner Blues Harps! In fact, I don't want to play it. I was really looking forward to playing it and assumed it would be a dream to play. I'm so frustrated! Is it me? Is it the harp? Both? Help!
Hi, I'm a beginner player too. And I had a couple of Hohner harps (and one of them is Blues one), but I saw that a lot of players use Suzuki and I decided to buy one for me. I was so insulted that I can't even play some single notes tune with it, I don't talk about bending. I have to practice about a month to get acquainted with my new Suzuki harp. So it takes some time to feel any new harp of different vendor for me (and it is in different key of course, because I don't have harps in all keys, that's why every new harp I buy has a different key). Hope this helps.
Hi Dov - this is a very common problem. The Manji is very unforgiving as a harmonica especially compared to the Hohners. You need to be completely relaxed and not pull too hard. Almost everyone struggles with the Manji when they first start.
