Hello Tanya. In Japan, we were grateful for the special fixed amount of benefits given to the people during the corona outbreak 4 years ago. In Ukraine, the families of those who lost their homes and businesses, were injured, or died during the war, and the soldiers, would be grateful if they could receive even a little. We don't know what will happen, so we should accept it with a smile. If you want to give it to the military, you can donate it later.
In the US, the government gave each person cash during Covid. We each got $1200 and we were told that the money was to generate the economy that had gotten slow during Covid.

In addition to the regular welfare payments there are also grants to compensate for natural disasters, high cost of living, such as electricity prices etc. During covid lockdowns in many countries people were paid fixed amounts or proportion of their lost salaries or wages, in the many thousands of dollars in total. That effectively printing of money has contributed to high inflation afterwards.

In Canada we get money regularly from the government. Everyone gets climate change money 4 times a year around $150 each payment as there is a carbon tax, to make thinks neutral for people's finances. I am considered rich by the government although I do not think I am, so I do not get the following additional money. Welfare payments every month for poor people, monthly payments for people with children income tested, a GST credit payment once a year, dental insurance for poor and middle class people. Free healthcare for everyone. Canada is a rich country (2nd richest in the G7) and I do not think other Canadians realize how good things are in Canada.,

I don't agree with everything she says. We can debate things like taxes, health care education, border security and tons of other issues as we have all my life. But support for our allies worldwide, people who who want freedom from tyranny, support for people like you, people like Mariia, people who share my values are important to me. My mom grew up on a farm. She learned to sew, embroidery and crochet at an early age. Mariia reminds me of my mom, grandmothers and earlier generations of women. Well, all that is up in the air now and for the first time in 150 years, this "election" is not about policies. It is about lives and what kind of environment people want to live under. Even though I live in the US, I am not a full citizen and I look at it from the outside, the view and through the lens of other countries. I was raised in two cultures (Russian and Western) so that makes more sense to me.

I'm glad nobody was killed or injured, but that post you made the other day about that attack near you heightened my worry more as you know Tanya. Following the string of attacks over the last few days it almost seems like they were trying to triangulate on your place. I know that is not the case, but it was odd they way the attacks were lining up. You don't know the joy it brings to me every time you post a video or short or on the community page just to know you and your loved ones are ok. I look to each day for updates from you and of course for your life in Ukraine videos. I love how your heart shows in your videos. Some allied country needs to send equipment to target the low flying drones or something now. Tanya as I mentioned to you before outside YT, I too feel like I am as anxious as Ukrainians about the US elections. Ukraine feels like a sitting duck between the elections. While I also do not know what kind of support Harris will give Ukraine, I know President Zelenskyy thinks highly of her and likes her (he is a nice guy anyway), but we also know exactly what Mr. Trump will do and I don't like to think about it and Putin would be sitting in Kyiv and the Whitehouse. Given all that, we can likely be certain that Harris will continue to support Ukraine funding and the like at least. Yes, Tanya that giving money did indeed happen in the US a few times. I don't remember all the reasons, but it happened once under President George W Bush and again under President Obama (I think it happened twice under him, but I'm not sure). It also happened twice I think under Trump for something about Covid (I refused it because I do not take dirty money nor blood money). Each time it was called a "stimulus". Kyiv is amazing to me! I'm glad nobody was killed or injured, but that post you made the other day about that attack near you heightened my worry more as you know Tanya. Following the string of attacks over the last few days it almost seems like they were trying to triangulate on your place. I know that is not the case, but it was odd they way the attacks were lining up.
You don't know the joy it brings to me every time you post a video or short or on the community page just to know you and your loved ones are ok. I look to each day for updates from you and of course for your life in Ukraine videos. I love how your heart shows in your videos.

Tanya as I mentioned to you before outside YT, I too feel like I am as anxious as Ukrainians about the US elections. Ukraine feels like a sitting duck between the elections. While I also do not know what kind of support Harris will give Ukraine, I know President Zelenskyy thinks highly of her and likes her (he is a nice guy anyway), but we also know exactly what Mr. Trump will do and I don't like to think about it and Putin would be sitting in Kyiv and the Whitehouse. Given all that, we can likely be certain that Harris will continue to support Ukraine funding and the like at least.
Yes, Tanya that giving money did indeed happen in the US a few times. I don't remember all the reasons, but it happened once under President George W Bush and again under President Obama (I think it happened twice under him, but I'm not sure). It also happened twice I think under Trump for something about Covid (I refused it because I do not take dirty money nor blood money). Each time it was called a "stimulus".
