Saffa here… well done to Ireland. Impressive fight. A true clash of titans and Ireland showed they too like the Boks will not back down. Clinching the win in the dying seconds was heartbreaking as Bok supporter, but can only imagine how ecstatic that must have felt for Irish supporters… great display of rugby and so exciting to see the good state international Rugby is in. ☘️🇿🇦
Thanks, I can not express how elated I felt when that DG went through the sticks, thanks again very gracious of you 👍☘🇮🇪
Yup. Haven't seen drop goals like that since the days of Naas Botha and we frikkin' LOVED it when he did it for us. Every rugby fan should experience that feeling. We've had a glut of it with 1 point World Cup wins, so it's okay to have a worthy opponent show you up once in a while. Part of the allure of the sport. Besides, finally having a consistent northern hemisphere equal balances things out nicely.
Rugby was the real winner, the best advertisement for the sport. Respect to the World Champs from an Irish fan.
Win win for all global rugby enthusiasts!
Great comment. From what I've seen the Saffa fan's were amazing. Check out Eggchasers video going through the stadium. Rugby was the winner, we took this one but I think that the scene is set for our next few encounters. And it seems that the Saffa fans filled the stadium so that was a nod of respect in Irelands direction. I really think that the inclusion of the SA teams in the URC is helping both Ireland the South Africa. More so us perhaps. Its a pity there wasn't a 3rd test but all of these young men earned all of our respect, what a game.
I thought Jamie Osborne was massive for Ireland. That is a deserved team for the weekend's tests.
His work under high balls is excellent, he's taken his trial by fire very well
Mark of a well coached side that you loose players like HK, JG-P at the start of the tour and then injuries on tour that new caps slot in and still produce the goods. I really like AF’s attitude of if you are in the squad you should expect to play and win. Great ethos to have in the squad.
I am a massive fan of Hugo Keenan and was so disappointed that he picked to play 7s. Jamie Osborne was amazing, I am sure we will see him in that position again.
So proud of the Irish performance & a big thank you to all the other nations for the recognition!
It is such a great time in international rugby.
Kiwi here. The Irish win was very impressive.
They spent most of the game dominated across the park, held in there but looked gassed and outplayed for large parts.
No wonder they looked "gassed" at the end of that season. Were better in the first half, scored 11 points from play compared to 0 from SA. Had a couple of dodgy penalties against them but instead of losing and being called whiners ans complainers, they took the very end of the game by the scruff of the neck and won it at the last second. Totally deserved
@@hankscorpion9939 Absolutely, that penalty given for SA for a knock on while in the air even though a Saffa knocked it. There's no way the TMO missed it, it clear as day.
@@itistrue101 what?
@@hankscorpion9939 Meh.... good win, but hardly inspired confidence moving forward.
They are pro athletes with 23 players at their disposal, shouldn't be so gassed. Overspent in the first half and paid for it in the second - lucky to have had a shot to win it. ABs would have pasted them in that scenario.
pollard in a losing effort made us all remember why we win most our games with 8/8 kicks
Conor Murray deserves an HM for sure
😂
Murray was a giant. Cork Con & Munster can be very proud of their boy 💪🏾🇮🇪
The two older performances of the weekend: Conor, i thought he was done - and Jamie George, who'd have thought he could go 80-minutes and be around the play.
Osborne at 15 for Ireland was amazing . He normally plays 12.
Ireland’s coach recognises talent that Leinster’s does not. He recognised that Gibson Park is better than McGrath and that Frawley is the best 10 at Leinster.
He normally plays at 12 for Leinster as there has been a vacancy in the centres due to other injuries.
He won't get ahead of Keenan at fullback but one of Ringrose and Henshaw are always injured.
I think 15 is probably his more natural position but he won't play big games there for obvious reasons.
@@patrickmccutcheon9361 Leo Cullen definitely recognizes JGP as he starts him in every important game, McGrath only ever starts for Leinster in smaller games where the A team is resting.
Leo does have a weird thing for the Byrne brothers at 10 though, even though Frawley is the obvious choice.
The issue is that Frawley is too versatile for his own good, so they have him there to cover 10-15 off the bench, but now that Osbourne is coming into his own he can play that role, and we have Jimmy O'Brien there as well who can do the same. Frawley needs to be Leinsters 1st choice 10 going forward, at least until Prendergast develops into the role
@@TheRedhenProductions Read that the Byrne bros are sons of Leinsters former sponsor. If true that'll be why they keep getting picked ahead of better players.
@@naraiceylobplayed the whole way through youths as a 15 even at U20s. Trust me I could see the number on his back as he ran over me😂😂
Thought Pollard deserved the start for scoring all 28 points for SA. Kelliher line out was iffy but was a monster around the park
When I think of Ireland 🇮🇪 I almost get a semi.Congrats. The green kant won, but not by 16 points, so no:1 in the world is still Springboks.
A nice☘ win in SA. Last gasp successful drop goals win thight games. Jonny W started the trend in major Internatonals, in the pro-era, in '23😊🏴☠☘ France U20's were superb.
Kelleher had 89% lineout success and had a massive game
1 SA 1 Irl player in your team for the game of the year strange. You must not have even watched the game
A shame there’s no 3rd test RSA V Ireland but I’m not sure my little heart could take the stress. Very happy with that win ☘️ Some v competitive NH v SH games overall the last couple of week. Reckon that’s a very fair team of the week
Hey man, quick question. Which website are you using to get your stats? I seem to remember Amazon doing spor stats but couldn't find any rugby ones. Great video as always. I can only imagine how messed up your sleep schedule is. Cheers.
Could you send beauden over to Leinster with his brother. 😊
No need we have frawley if cullen will Actually use him
@@ciaranbrk thats the problem isn't it.
And you missed Spain nearly beating Samoa
Bobby V had an amazing game as well
I know the baby blacks, just lost the semi, but would be good if you could cover the final, looks like it'll be a good game.
Come on France !!!! ABE......
Daugunu was my highlight, kellaway i felt like maybe deserved a spot
Great test matches and amazing team of the week. Thank you!
The only welsh man in the team plays for England :(
Did you count Beauden's double kick as one or two kicks?
i was about to ask that lol
Lots of discussion for weeks regarding who Farrell would select at full back in Keenans absence, lots of names coming up, but not Osborne's, his debut playing out of position against the no. 1 team! Thought he was the player of the series, interesting to see who plays 15 next game out.
Good stuff. Great win Ireland
Good picks as usual, but kind of surprised you didn't consider Pollard (even in the Honourable Mentions). 100% kicks, 8 out of 8. His kicking was the reason SA were back in the game and actually got into the winning position. Seems like he was worth at least a mention, right?
Lot of standouts from this past weekend.
What about Maro Itoje he was outstanding and super in the lineouts best forward on the park , up there with the best locks in the world , I think he’s number one lock. You didn’t even mention him at all very surprising
Maro was, as you say, superbly outstanding🏴☠☘
Itoji made some pretty critical errors in the last 20 minutes. Multiple penalties. Could've been pinged for taking a player out in the air during the first half too. Dont get me wrong, full respect to the guy. Huge performance in both matches, particularly in the last one, but if we're picking the best of the week, Itoje's didnt finish strongly and probably even gifted the All Blacks a penalty forcing England to go for the try just to draw.
Gave away the penalties that gave NZ the win.
I thought the exact same thing. To me ( an ABs fan) he was player of the series. Yes, BB was a game-changer in both matches, but MI was IMMENSE.
Itoje was a beast across both games!
I agree with most of your choices, but I would have had Murray as your number 9. Only 3 Irish in your team, despite being the only NH team to win away from home, and in the backyard of the back-to-back World championships - that doesn't seem to reflect the achievement. Some of your choices were from teams playing other teams where both are at a significantly lower level than SA and Ireland. But, as they say, it's all about opinions!
Normally I agree with most of your picks Mark, but this is your worst team by far!😂 Firstly Argentina were playing a French B/C team who beat them in the first test. No performance against such an inexperienced team should be on this list. Nouchi of France, should be there, he went up a level. No Australian, playing what is the worst Wales team in years should be on the list, particularly that, as bad as they were, they nearly came back and beat them. Anyone can look good against very weak opposition. B. Barrett is an ok choice. Rather than making an even longer comment, more All Blacks, Boks and Irish should be on the list. Most of the list includes players who played against a junior team, and a team who are, let's not be pc here, absolute useless at the moment. Who do I agree with 100%? George, Nché, Ryan, Nouchi, Doris, B. Barrett, Osborne. Feyi-Waboso. That's it. I know it's about individual performance but I do believe that you have to take the quality of the opposition into account. A player is always going to look good against poor opposition. I'd scratch Argentinians and Australians, they didn't play world class opposition so performances are affected too much. I'd replace those 6 with Irish, Boks, and AB's. The worst ommission though was Conor Murray, he bossed the game, scored a try for the second time in 2 weeks against the world champions at home in South Africa. He should be in the scrum half slot.
Team of the week has to compare the games as relative equals. Otherwise it'd just be "who are the best 15 from SA/IRE/NZ" cos they're the only teams in the 90s on the world rankings - everyone else can suck it 😅
@@TwoCentsRugby That's a point but there's a weakness in the system. If France had played their A team and Argentina or France won, it would have been relevant but Argentina beat a bunch of youngsters with little or no experience. You can't really guage a performance against that. Might have been better to include players from the 25 to 23 win by Georgia over Japan for example with 2 evenly matched full international squads. Putting international players on a list who's opposition are young lads or the opposition is extremely weak isn't really the way. The Georgia Japan was an epic game and there were players on both sides to easily replace some Australians and Argentinians. Anyway, just an opinion.
@@brianmsahin How dare you question the Great TC, otherwise known as Super Stats.... ;-)
Hard to pick a very impressive Beauden -v- Frawley, what cojones. The other Barrett, solid performance shouldn't make the Team - you'd have to pick the two Irish centres who completely contained a very good Saffa mid field.
I confess my surprise that only three Irish and one Saffa made that team
Murray or Mitchell at 9 surely
The argies beat a second / third string French team and the Aussies beat Wales.. they have nearly half the team of the week 😂 there was only 2 real test matches happening
Didn't B Barret come in as a 15?
Some big games over the last couple of weekends. But not much movement in the rankings. Any chance you could explain?
When you play at home you get considered to have an advantage, so if you win at home there isn't as many points taken, so argentina, new zealand and Australia didn't get as much, and south Africa were so far ahead on the rankings points that even big win for Ireland wasn't enough to close the gap.
Some really close and exciting games from these series!
Ciaran Frawley at 10… otherwise good team
Wobblies should not be considered, playing the Welsh at the moment makes anyone look decent.
He aims, he shoots, he scores !
Great video TC.
Barrett played fullback not fly half
Nah he's at first receiver most of the time, despite a couple of times where they interchanged. Dmac is out the back which is different from game one
Nouchi
Where dud he cone from!
Jordie is a myth! At least 4 missed tackles. Terrible pass to no one that put us under pressure. Where can I find his match stats to confirm or not?
😂
BB replaced Perofeta at fullback. Didn't come on as a 10.
He and Dmac interchanged a bit, but Beaudy spent most of the time at first receiver, Dmac out back
Doris is like an NFL running back 4 yards a carry good stats in NFL
Hi you tuber, how can I as a bot more efficiently mimic hu-man behavior?
😂🎉
Itoje?
🍻
Thaw was the worst tierlist ever honestly.
Frawley not in😮.
He played very little and BB was excellent to be fair, could still be on there, matter of taste.
@@Camcolitohis brilliance did actually win the game, you can be on a long time and do nothing.
@@davidwalker2402 True enough though BB did a lot.
Im Irish and picking Ryan is an interesting one. I don't think he's good enough to even start for us anymore. Second row will be Beirne and McCarthy with Baird at 6.
He was immense yesterday to be fair to him and Baird is a great sub to have
You haven't a clue. Ryan kicked the shit out of the bokke pack yesterday.
Ryan is a underrated player, he’s worked hard to put on a lot of size and capable of making big tackles. He’s also great in the lineout and adds leadership
Obviously a Munster fan coming to terms with Frawley sending "Jack" to the bench and Doris being the new captain. Twat
@@alexgordon8062 He was good but he doesnt do it enough consistently. Baird should be starting in my opinion at 6. Beirne and McCarthy in the second row
Pity Frans Malherbe is such s slouch and the SA locks are looking powder puff in both tests.
Faf DK was best player on the park on Saturday.
He didn't score a try tho
faf was shite
Poor game by his standards. Didn't run the game.
Thanx for officials, specially tmo for awarding a straight out off hand kick for a dropgoal....that stole the win again from sboks...same as they stole 2022 irish and french match only diff 2022 was bout 10 or more ,2024 2nd test is the elegal kick for a dropgoal...🤷♂️
what are you yapping about
@@unjfdlnjnf😂😂
I've seen a similar comment elsewhere and went back to look at the video again and I honestly can say I have no idea what he's talking about. I thought I'd heard a lot of snowflake sore losers but this complaint is something else.
you cannot be fucking serious man .............to quote a legendary tennis player
@@raphaelkavanagh6950my favourite tennis player ever
Mark mate im all for a fellow making an honest living and commend you for that, your quick informative and overall pretty good. Im saying this sincerely though man , when it comes to analysing the games can you not bring your kids into it , i mean we get it there in bed its late over there when certain matches are on ,i just dont like that part to your game its not really needed. We come to listen to you , bringing your kids into it for some admiration or incebtive isnt class. Once or twice perhaps but not the amount you do it. Slainte from Ireland
The hell you on about?
@@taragorn3522 Use better language . I think what I said was clear , no real fancy words that would make someone confused??? My comment is very true and honest and can be verified simply be doing a review on Marks videos and counting the amount of times it has happened.
Huh? Not sure what you are on…. Mark is a class act that I watch regularly..
I agree @rogerday, Mark's a class act. I haven't watched all his vids but I'm not sure what @johnnoonan4799 is on about re bringing his kids into things? He's no doubt a proud dad like all of us dads are of our kids and rightly so. This Johnnoonan dude needs to relax and drink more Guinness 🍻
@@johnnoonan4799Find and criticise someone and somewhere else. It's free and if you don't like it go somewhere else. Mark is giving up his free time to produce these often at all hours. He deserves praise for sure. And he's hardly making a good living with the amount of subs he's got.
James Ryan looks so Irish, I bet he came out of his mom and looked the same as her on day one 😂
The lower limb leg dive cancel anything good Doris has done in the game. It is against the spirit of the game. He should be sited and removed from ever playing rugby again! 😳🤮
Is this Kolbe diving again?
Banned for life eh? Bit of an overreaction just maybe?
@@CamcolitoOff with his head lol.
@@johnmc3862 hehe
Same with Kolbe's cheating. His dive to milk a penalty was disgtaceful. He needs a telling from the Bok leaders. This is Rugby, not Soccer. Be a real man not a pouff-diver.
