My brother was semi comatose & dying, was unresponsive for 2 days. The moment before he passed he opened his eyes & with a big smile on his face said "Mama". Our Mom had passed years prior. That beautiful image will live with us forever 🙌

I was a 19 year old playing a job up in Caseville, Michigan and stopped at a gas station. Mark saw my amp and guitar in the back window of my car and asked me where I was playing. I told him The Coal Miner's Daughter and he laughed and said he was familiar with the place. He was such a nice guy. He gave me a set of ribbon wound strings that he wanted me to try and we talked about Jesus. I was just starting to get serious about my faith and he was a great encouragement to me. I asked who he played with and when he told me who he was, it was surreal because Grand Funk was huge but he was so humble. I thought, "I want to be like that guy." It's great to see the Lord using him and still having His hand on his life.

My friend passed during surgery and was revived. He said he did not see a tunnel but brilliant colors, unlike anything on Earth. Then he felt peaceful and felt like he was surrounded by a blanket of pure love. The feeling of being loved was so strong and comforting that he wanted to stay. The next thing he knew, he was in recovery. He told me he does not fear death now.

I remember when my grandmother died, they brought her back...and she begged to go back. Within minutes she died again, and she died with a smile on her face. It was hard..emotions went crazy. I wanted to cry..yet I was happy for her. Wherever she had gone...it was such a place she wanted to go back to it. Later at home...there was a bowl of nuts on the table. I was upset about the funeral etc. , and mother asked me did I want to talk about it. I told her I was upset about granny being down in a dark hole in the cold ground etc. She told me to take a nut from the bowl...I did. "Now crack it open." she said. "Take out the good stuff." I did. "Now what are you going to do with the shell ?" she asked. "Throw it in the trash." I replied. "Why ?" she asked. "Because I just wanted what was inside....didn't have any use for the shell." She sat down with me and said..."Exactly child. When we die, our spirit (the good stuff) leaves our fleshy body, and goes elsewhere...and we leave our shell behind...we don't need it anymore. It has served it's purpose..what happens to it is no longer important. "Then why the funeral, and all ?" I asked. "Well, she began, we as humans become attatched to what we see throughout our life. We talked to them, hugged them, saw them often as they were to us. Losing this person was a sorrow...and their funeral is a tribute to them, sort of a thank you and goodbye. Granny's shell in down in the grave dear...but Granny herself...she is somewhere else now." I never forgot how she explained it to me.

Mark, in 1971, April 9, I was a senior in high school and in Daytona, Florida on spring break. While there I was struck by, not one but two cars. I went to bed the morning of 4/9/76 and woke up in May in the hospital in East Point, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. About a mile from the airport. All I remember of this is I was with Gabriel who took me before the Throne. From a third person point of view, from behind the throne I saw the Lord saying to Gabe, “No, I’m not ready for him.” I remembered this after I was in East Point, about a month later. I couldn’t talk, I couldn’t even turn over in bed. But, here I am, 71 years old, a total sellout for my Lord and Savior. I don’t worry about anything; the Lord came to me, I’m not sure when, maybe in Halifax Hospital, in Daytona or maybe in South Fulton Hospital, in East Point. He’s said those very words, “ I’ll take care of you,” three times since. And I needed to hear it each time. But now I’m His, for good. Praise the Lord!

Mark's description of weightlessness and being debt free was my experience. And yes, I knew things that I had always known, even before I was born. One of the first things I thought was "I'm not even worried about bills!" I believe Mark had the real deal. I had a full experience. YES! The feeling on that side is so overwhelming you do not want to leave. One way to explain to those who have not had this experience: Remember your youngest age, and the excitement you had to go play with your best friend when you were 4 and 5 years old... Magnify that by 1000 and you will start to understand the excitement and home feeling you will have when you get there. The Lord has taken me back to that experience to teach me several things after the fact. He is faithful! Beyond kind and forgiving... And mostly He is Love! Thanks for sharing Mark!

Tears well-up in my eyes even as I write this because I REMEMBER IT and this validation from him just overwhelms me! GOD IS THERE, GOD IS REAL and this love and freedom he speaks about here and that I myself was blessed enough to experience for myself is there for ALL OF US, ALL OF YOU and all you have to do to receive it is believe, pray to Jesus and ASK FOR IT and it will be yours also when you cross that threshold and here on earth IF you just believe! I had a similar experience in 2006 in the Czech Republic when I was 60 years old. My wife and I had bought an old
villa there in 1994, and I had gone to Czech in early March to upgrade the villa's coal heating system from coal
to natural gas. The old villa was without heat for about 24 hours while we transitioned from a coal to gas furnace.
That night I went to sleep in an ice cold bedroom with all my clothes on and a thick goose down comforter.
Shortly, I went into a deep sleep, and I began to dream. I dreamed I was waking in darkness toward a faint light.
As I continued to walk toward the light, it got brighter. In just moments, I had walked into full daylight, and I recognized
an old church from my youth. The old Methodist Church was in Lisbon, Maryland. I continued walking past the
church's cemetery, and there I observed every grave opened and every coffin in each grave open. There were no
    bodies anywhere.
At the end of the cemetery, I was approached by a beautiful young woman who looked to be about 30 years old.
She called me by name and asked me to go with her. I asked her who she was, and she said I am Mary your old
neighbor. Then it became clear to me, but the last time I had seen her she was 18 and I was 20. Oddly, I too
felt like I was half my age or about 30 years old.
We walked on together to the church I attended Liberty Baptist Church just a few hundred yards from the
Methodist Church. As we approached the old church, I could see the entire congregation in the front church
yard. There in the middle of the congregation of 100 members or more were my Mother and Father.
They looked to be in their 30's and very healthy and smiling. They communicated to me to go on with
Mary because we had plenty of time to visit later. Everyone in the congregation recognized me and I
recognized them. Despite most of them being dead for 50 years or more, they looked healthy and happy
    as I remembered them.
I walked on with Mary, and she took me to this small, very clear river where we sat down on the pleasant
grassy bank. We talked about many things, and I felt so wonderful in perfect peace and perfect health
as a young man in his prime. Mary had such a pure sweet spirit as I remembered her.
Then, I started to wake up, but I didn't want to leave it was so wonderful.
The dream made me sat up in that cold bed, and I struggled to think what that dream meant. I knew I
would never forget it. Then, it came to me as it says in the Bible, "You shall be known as were known."
It was exactly that as they recognized me and I recognized them.
Six months later back in the US I had an appointment with my VA Cardiologist. I was given a full cardio
stress test for being 60 years old. Dr, Blailock had called me in to review the findings from my cardio
exam. He asked me how I felt, and told him I felt fine. He told me straight out I had a heart attack in
the last six months. Then he asked me about a dozen symptoms I should have experienced during
the heart attack. Then, he finally asked me if I had an unusual dream in the last six months I couldn't
forget. I told him yes sir I did, and he asked me to recite it for him. I recited the dream to him in detail
    as I described above.
Dr. Blaillock then told me I not only had a heart attack but a near death experience. He said that cold
was a big help, and I told him there was something more than the cold room. In 2016, I saw him again
for my 70 year old stress test. He told me I was doing good to have an irregular heart beat and a
heart murmur. He told me he still remembered my dream, and it made him think a little more about
life and death. I told him it had the same influence on my life style..

That reminds me of a story from Janis Amatuzio's book Forever Ours. She is a retired pathologist and former medical student. A colleague of hers told her while her father she dying he told her to go ahead to the convention which was 1000s of miles away when she felt guilty about leaving him. He told her it would be alright. At some point while the plane was in the air she felt the most overwhelming peace she ever felt. It was so intense that she put down the book she was reading. When she got off the plane, she found out her father had passed and it was at the same time she felt that amazing peace. 1000s of miles away at the same time her sister was in an elevator when the elevator suddenly stopped, and the lights flickered on and off a few times before the elevator moved again. I recommend her book. She was at first apprehensive about publishing it fearing she would be laughed off the forensic planet but after 9/11 she decided it was no longer about her. She self published it not expecting much but flew off the shelves as quickly as it appeared and became a best seller in 2002.

@@silkscreenart5515 You get the 'truth' to that statement when you take up meditation. You have consciousness. Without consciousness you would have no reality. Consciousness is who you are. Consciousness is the knowing and awareness that you exist - the part of you that thinks and feels. Consciousness is the I AM of your existence. It is a paradox. You know you have consciousness and yet you cannot see, hear, smell, taste or touch your own consciousness - and yet it exists.
What few realize is that the body and all seemingly physical things are not matter but energy. Our physical form is made of molecules, molecules are made of atoms, atoms are made of electrons, and electrons are made of life force or energy. And energy is Consciousness. Your Consciousness is connected to the all-pervading spiritual Consciousness of the Universe. Nothing is solid. Everything ultimately is a Sea of vibratory Consciousness. In other words, everything is Mind. And the energy inherent is Love.
Scientists use their consciousness to measure and observe the outward manifestations of matter - in the world of form. And what is form? Form is a manifestation from energy grouped into electrons, atoms and molecules. Science now knows that all seemingly physical objects are not physical at all but ultimately come from energy. In other words, reality has no form but is made up from a sea of energy. And this sea of energy is consciousness. You have consciousness. And your consciousness springs from the Source of the greater Consciousness.
Scientists come to the false conclusion there is no Intelligence or God because they are using consciousness through the five senses of sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch. The five senses of humans are perceived through the use of sensory organs. They will never get to the Truth and to Ultimate Reality of existence if they employ their consciousness through the false illusion of the five senses.
In order to know the Supreme Intelligence and Creation behind all that is, in order to know Truth and Reality, you have to turn your awareness inwards to your inner consciousness and not through the five senses. Meditation is the key and the science to knowing the Ultimate Reality. In meditation you are now using consciousness to focus in upon Consciousness itself! That is the Secret Path that sages in the past have kept to a select few. But now meditation is known world-wide and accepted.
Science is recognizing, through quantum physics, that form is an illusion and that energy and consciousness is the reality. And in order to become aware of that energy and consciousness one has to direct one's consciousness and awareness away from the illusion of the five senses and turn one's energy and focus within oneself upon consciousness itself - stilling your mind and focusing in upon that Silence and Void. This is meditation.
Before taking up the practice of meditation, your consciousness was pulled outwards through the 5 senses to the outer world of matter. Hence, that is the reality that you see and believe in. In order to see the Ultimate Reality of your existence and become aware of the Presence of Cosmic Consciousness or God, you turn your awareness inwards and still your mind completely so that no thoughts, no image or memory pulls you back to the world of the five senses. You now focus your consciousness and awareness in upon the Void within yourself. You keep holding your attention upon that Space and slowly you will find that that Space is the "I AM" - the consciousness of Cosmic Consciousness. You will find that your consciousness is connected to the "I AM".
Having reached this "awareness" of the Space, it will create a vacuum. And one day that vacuum will be filled by the Presence of God or Infinite Intelligence or whatever name you call it. When that happens, you have made contact with Source and you will have no doubt of its existence that lies beyond all forms.
It is written in the bible, 'Be still and know that I am God'. What must you still in order to know God? Your thoughts! By turning your awareness inwards and focusing your attention upon your own consciousness, you will discover the Reality of the I AM of your existence. Consciousness in its pure state is veiled and hidden behind our thoughts. Our thoughts are what pulls us back to the five senses of the outside world and hence we lose our true identity in the world of matter and form.
The fundamental Truth that material scientists are not aware of, is that the Universe is Mind. Everything is a sea of Mind - a sea of Consciousness. Ultimately nothing is physical.

As you said, there are no physical or mental burdens there. To use the analogy of a feather in the wind, we are the feather when we leave here. We travel around through all kinds of amazing zones, and we are directed by a greater power. It's not our call as to whether or not we bypass a zone, stay in a zone we like, or anything else. We make absolutely no decisions in the other world. And it's a wonderful place to be.

As Jesus said, not all that call His name will be saved, but those who DO the Father’s Will and Mt. 5 as Mt. 25 are perfect examples of what we should do. Not on our own merits but because of what He has done for us. As St. Paul says in 1 Cor. 4:4 “For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.”

This is so true, and so very profound. The thing that I suffer with, now, the most, is the regret from not having been a better person when I should have been, and could have been, if only I had known better, then ... and known then what I know now. It truly is like a debt that can't be paid back; because, now, it's too late ... the damage has been done. And, it can't be undone. And, all that I can do now, during the years that I have left, is to live with the regret and the remorse. The regret of not knowing better, at the time, and the remorse for the damage that it caused to other people that I dearly love. It really is a heavy burden to bear.

I started watching this video because I saw Mark Farner with Grand Funk Railroad when they played in Hyde Park, London, at a free concert in 1971. John 6:26 “Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. 27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”
28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?”
29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
30 So they asked him, “What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? 31 Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”
32 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”
34 “Sir,” they said, “always give us this bread.”
35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. 36 But as I told you, you have seen me and still you do not believe. 37 All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away. 38 For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
