- A great Batman comic book with a low number of CGC 9.8s on the census is an attractive proposition if you're a Batman collector. I have a bunch of these type of Batman CGC 9.8 gems and the pride of ownership is off the scale. Often they are tougher to find, yet they are cheaper then a lot of comparable 1980s CGC 9.8 comics. A few of these have got away from me in the past and I begrudgingly touch on that in the video.

This is the video I was waiting for, Jerry! Great choices as always. I’m surprised you didn’t mention Batman 428. Even a lower 9.8 percentage than Batman 423, although nowhere near as valuable. You have a bad ass Batman collection my friend! Keep up the great work!

Was watching this Batman 358 In a 9.6 at my lcs I saw this video and instantly went to buy it hopefully I can get it cleaned and reslabbed in a 9.8

You never mention signature yellow labels. Do you collect those as well? Or recommend them as well instead?
I have 2 SS CGC 9.8s. The blue labels are more in my budget and I personally don't care for sigs much so I've never made a point to chase them👍
👋 Jerry what’s your opinion on the year 2 storyline Mcfarlene trilogy it pre dates 423 and if DC ever got thier stuff together has movie potential with the character Reaper that is the main villain In that arc 🤷 thanks for the video🤙🏽
423 will always be the one but Year Two is solid. I'm pretty sure Year Two part1 is 1st modern app of Reaper. That's a decent under the radar one
@@TeamCGC98 agreed 423 rightfully so but I think that set is some deep spec with a couple things going for it
Why do you like these so much? Have you actually read these, or do you just like them because they are a good investment?
I read most of them throughout the years but not all. Nowadays just want that nostalgic feeling from looking at the covers and buying cool Batman 9.8s is one of my things b/c im a big Batman guy. The investment value is a bonus for most of these. Big thanks for watching
