Yes, all the gravestones are big artists that have died from drug or alcohol abuse, basically saying he doesn't stop drinking he's going to end up like them.

Thank you so much for this reaction. It is my favorite song of theirs. It has so much meaning behind it. Each of the headstones are of a famous musician who died of substance abuse. Ivan is “Apologizing” to his family friends and fans for the life he was leading because he was about to die if he didn’t change his lifestyle
This song was written because Ivan Moody(the singer) was dealing with alcoholism and almost died. So he made this song. His daughter found him and thought he was dead. It was a wake up call for him. They film this the day before he went into rehab. He is drinking in this video. The names are to show some of the greatest that have died because of being addicted to something and died. FFDP talked about this on a video of them reactioning to this video. It's on their UA-cam channel.

I think he is accepting that all of these artists succumbed to their self destructive tendencies and realises he has been on the same path.
I met Ivan first in Colorado after a concert at the "Black Sheep" club; and several times after that in airports, etc. He is a quiet guy, and very gracious, but was struggling with his demons.

Love this song. It's about Ivan's alcoholism Even I was a very functional alcoholic this song helped to try to get over my addiction. I was the type of person that it never affected my job, marriage or anything but I was never sober either. I was digging my own grave like he is doing in the video. I was in outpatient rehab when this video came out and I think it gave me more help than the counselors did in the sessions.
Ivan Moody wrote this song as an apology to the fans and supporters for his neglect and alcohol addiction and abuse. This was written after he came clean and is sober now. Thats why he buries the flask. I will say this about FFDP, they have a lot of songs on topics most people don't want to address, like Coming Down. POWERFUL song!
In the ffdp video of them talking about this song they say it was written and filmed right before he went into rehab. They said Moody was drinking in the video. You can find it on their UA-cam channel of them reacting to their videos.

The tombstone at 2:59 "Bonham" is John Bonham AKA former drummer of Led Zeppelin. Died in 1980. Cause of death, inhalation of vomit in his sleep due to a massive amount of Vodka in a short time frame. The tombstone at 4:01 "Bon Scott" AKA former lead singer of AC/DC. Died in 1980. Cause of death, inhalation of vomit in his sleep. He was drinking a lot. I don't know if he did drugs or not. He was found in his car covered up with newspaper in the winter, outside his exgirlfriend's home. He was so in love with her. He wrote "She's Got Balls" about her and she broke up with him for it. He was depressed and wrote "Ride On". He also sang "Highway to Hell" and so many other great hits with AC/DC. I thought it was an odd coincidence. Both have Bon in their name. Cause of death was the same. They died in the same year and both were members of major rock bands at the same time. Everyone's death in the video was from an overdose of drugs or alcohol except for Lemmy Kilmister AKA founder and singer of Moterhead . He had terminal cancer. Elvis died of a heart attack while on the toilet. He took upper and downer prescription pills for many years until it finally got the best of him. I figure he was probably constipated from all the pills and pushed hard for the last time.
Basically this song is about artist who lost their lives to addiction, overdose, etc. Because Ivan Moody, the lead singer of 5FDP is a recovering Alcoholic. That song is dedicated to those who lost and about himself overcoming his addiction and demons.

If you liked this one you definitely have to hear "Tragic Truth" and watch the video of Ivan describing that video after you react to it. His explanation is very eye opening and hits close to the heart for addiction of any sort. He has definitely turned his life completely around. This is absolutely my favorite band! They were before he got sober and even more so after his sobriety💯

The song is about guilt, guilt he would have to face it someday, and the thoughts of killing himself in the process, the clip shows how close he was feeling to be gone like the others, feeling almost like he was already walking amongst them, its a really deep meaningful song.
It's about Ivan's alcohol addiction and that he's done with it, which is why he threw the flask in the grave
I'm a veteran and 5FDP music has saved my life on more than one occasion. The guys in this band do a lot of work with veterans organizations and outside of that deal with real issues that real people deal with.
This song is about his battle with addiction and all these headstones are rock greats that have died from drug abuse.
Yes, his name is Ivan Moody. Everyone name on the stones. The people had alcohol or drugs in their systems at death. There's also something known as the 27s club. There's at least 3 people named in it. Jamison Joplin, Jimmy Hendrix, Kurt Cobain. Dude, you should check out Far From Home or Never Enough. Love your video brother.

This song is about his addiction to alcohol and how he was killing himself with it and didn't realize what rock and roll had given him....he is apologizing to the late greats that came before him in rock and roll, everyone talks about how much they respect those greats and how everyone wishes they hadn’t gone down the road of addiction and problems. And yet here he was following the same path.....all the names on the graves are rock and roll greats that have suffered from addiction.
imo he possibly feels guilty for almost dying like the greats and maybe because of the noose he thought it was disrespectful to die like the late greats.

All the people on the head stones are people that died from drugs and alcohol because the singer for 5 finger death punch almost died from this but overcame his addiction
