Prof X might be like the apocalypse unlock where you’ll need OML, Odin and the 2 other legendaries and some additional characters to unlock him and probably T3 iso
Theres no way that would be the case being that to get Odin if we are to believe is a DD8 character would by itself take an additional year to unlock by himself. Meaning it would be potentially years before you would unlock professor X and by then would be outclassed twice over.
You needed legendary to unlock apoc u will need these new legendary for Xavier saga
I've never been 2 DD's behind.... waaay too soon for DD8. Probably won't have Mephsito before Prof X is out... going to be time to leave if this is true. Will have to spend big to come close to keeping up. I'm in a start of the game shard in arena, haven't seen a Mephisto outside the top 10....

If he is the dd8 reward he will certainly not be legendary
My thoughts is that Prof X is still the DD8 reward. What they will announce about Odin is that he and the other age of X ledgendaries will be required for a couple of nodes with purple Iso.
When they first announced Prof X it was written in the official msf blog that he will be the dd8 reward ?

We all knew a new level of iso was coming.
Whenever they say, "we'll have more *exciting* details in a future blog..." I get the thing that's DIRECTLY OPPOSITE TO 'EXCITED'.
I think Odin being moved into dd8 is great. The biggest problem the game had was the devs didn’t have a plan b when Battleworld got delayed. Odin in dd8 helps fill some of that void until we get Battleworld. Prof X can still be dd9 or even a apoc like saga, as long as the requirements aren’t as silly as the original apoc saga requirements were.
Hopefully, this means they are also getting ready to loosen up g19, so ppl without mephisto don’t fall too far behind. It seems like it’s almost time for that since almost 1,000 ppl have mephisto.
They aren’t going to make it easier to get gear 19 for a while. Maybe not until the halfway point to gear 21. So probably not until like Summer 2025. Teal gear didn’t become easier to farm and stuff until pretty much gear 18 or about 3-5 months before gear 18 released. Until then it was a struggle.
@@projectpat8807 you could be right. However, i would not be surprised if g19 was added to the cc store within the next 2 weeks and the war store within the next month. They have been putting high value characters continually on the cc store, like they were trying to get players to spend down some of their credits.
Edit - Forget the war store. I don’t think they ever even put g18’s in there yet. Heck, it doesn’t look like they even put g17 in there. No wonder more ppl don’t care about war.

It could be months away, but usually July-September is when they start teasing the next gear tier and level cap, although we don’t get them until like the very end of the year or first few months of the next year.

This makes zero sense. Why would Odin be the second character shown if hes going to be unlocked in a game mode that wont be our for who knows how long. But wait theres more. While at the same time show us the center picture is professor X, tell us hes a DD8 reward...stupid idea. Only to change that and make a different character that reward before showing off the other characters that we assumed would be unlocked BEFORE professor X.
Also can we take a break from the stupid stat increases that literally do nothing but make numbers higher for no reason outside of having higher numbers. You literally are giving us nothing for leveling and increasing gear outside of numbers. You NEED TO ADD ADDITIONAL MECHANICS TO CHARACTERS. There comes a point in EVERY game they do this with. There comes a time when the characters' levels drop and the numers are shrunk way down. Why because it gets to the point where all your adding levels without adding additional features to characters to make them unique or powerful in different ways.
