@@albertdrew7235 The breaker is on shortest wire run directly from battery positive. A fuse could be used in place with addition of a main switch to break power from battery to loads. I chose the breaker b/c it accomplishes both functions. Two screws hold the PNL mount breaker and if the breaker ever breaks internally (mechanical failure) a simple changeout can be accomplished in 5 min or less. Hope this helps, if you need anything else LMK!
Appreciate that! Yes sorry the Anderson Video was overlooked 😬 I’ll get it out soon, I have a project that is using some Anderson power poles. I’ll film the extra video during this!
The battery is capable of 20Amps. Check your specifications on your DC refrigerator to make sure. Example Bodega brand units usually pull 6A so it would run a Bodega cooler. Hope this helps!
That was a neat little project. I was a little curious about how much it cost to build it. Regardless it is definitely neat build and it has me thinking about doing a small build.
Not too expensive especially if coupons and deals are found on the main parts! Build yourself one, fun to do and you’ll have a handy little power bank! Take care!
It's 2024...Who uses 12v cig outlets anymore and for what? you got USB & Andersons. Cig outlets cause RF noise and they heat if you put much of a load. Replace with Andersons and Getter Done! LOL! If you gotta have a cig outlet get one that is fused on a cord from Powerwex with Andersons on it! Nice Build!
Just put it in for the tiny automotive style inverter. No other inverter would fit inside the box for stowing. Build however you want just shared to hopefully help others get creative that is all.
I have a 12v electric blanket in my car that uses this 12v plug. My power station works perfect for this. If I'm stuck in my car in an emergency, I can run my blanket off my power box and save my car battery.

Without a doubt the best "ammo can" build I have seen so far. Love the socket lights. Great tip on using tape to make clean gasket seams.
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed!
Cool little project! I am a big fan of Anderson Power Poles.
Thanks! Anderson connectors are quite handy!
Very nice! Looks like the battery was made for the ammo crate❤
It’s an excellent fit!!!
Great video, how is the breaker replaced if needed? Would you want to add a fuse? Thanks

Great build and discussion along the way! Hopefully, you add the extra wiring video you mentioned for us more novice types! Lol.

I have so many more questions from this video like other methods for wiring as to how you wired it.
Great job 👍👍👍
Thanks! I appreciate it!
CAN RUN A SMALL 12V FRIDGE WITH THIS SETUP..?

Great video! do you have the wiring schematic?
Thanks! I’m updating this build version very soon to include a solar charge controller! I’ll provide a slide in the upcoming video with a diagram!!!
@@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD Awesome, I'll hold building this until then and maybe just accumulate most of the parts between now and than. Thanks!
what is the total cost for this?

What crimper do you recommend?
IWISS is good value brand, had several different IWISS tools and they hold up and function great. Hope this helps!
