Best channel for learning fl studio, hands down. You're always loud and clear, straight to the point, and video quality is always on point. Thanks for posting these.
Here is the perfect way to do tutorial! You did explain everything what you did, how you did it and why you did it. Not like in some so called tutorials: silence, 100 mouse clicks and there, it s done! Not too fast tempo in tutorial so we can try those things in our fl while you are showing how to do that. It s easy to understand you (i m from Finland) even when you are speaking english. One more thing: I think that when you learn very basics well enough it s easier to learn hard and more complex stuff after that, not just to skip straight from the beginning to so called "master piece", dont you think! : ) Thank you for the hard work and helping out novice like me! Well done sir! : )
omg i was pulling my hair out (not literally) all night trying to figure out how fl studio works....the other tuts i found didn't explain what they did or what they did was overtly complicated. But this one here i have learned so much! And i didn't pull a single hair!!!! ty man! your a night saver! on to part 2 :P
Very well done tutorial. This made FL so much less confusing. Precise and understandable instructions. Thanks for the help kind sir. Exceptional teaching.
BxDipset180st Not that I don't listen. It's that shortcuts are different for different DAWs and since our videos can be used for other DAWs, we use shortcuts which are universal. Most DAWs support Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V to copy and paste. while only FL Studio has other shortcuts for duplicating.
Man that help alot when i get home im going to try it i like your video because you took one step at a time the beat was hot too you make it look easy now that i got FL i dont have to buy these niggaz wake ass beat
Just want to thank you for the all the time and effort you go to - i'm not a FL user but when it comes to straight forward, sincere and easy to follow instruction and tutorials? You take some beating - keep it up and all the best!
Watching this 5 part series making different beats over and over until eventually iv memorized everything in theses videos then move on to the next tutorial
Hey busyworksbeats, I just started learning how to make beat and most of my knowledge comes from your videos but I just wanna say thanks for putting the videos up on UA-cam they are super helpful. I rap and I've always needed to make my own beats so thanks man.
I've watched so many Tutorials on UA-cam about FL Studio, but your Tutorials are the best. They're simple and even with the demo Version of FL Studio i can do most of them. Great work keep going!
Just wanted to let you know, i had a GREAT time tonight because of this video, all the while the couple downstairs has been aggressively fighting. Thanks brother.
Thank for this tutorial, It helped me a lot. And if you want to copy or easily duplicate pattern or audio clips in the play list you can select the pattern or clip and press the CTRL+B key it will duplicate the pattern and clip immediately after the selected one. This technique helps me to save a lot of time. Try it and see the difference it might help you too, to save time in arranging. Have a wonderful day.
+JayTunez617 Your welcome, it took me some years, cuz as I know this function is available from version 9 or 10. But I discovered it as a Mistake. wanted to press CTRL+V, and I missed the V key with the B. After that I started to study in depth a bit the shortcuts in FL studio. Have a nice day and a good workflow all of you.
good vid thanks! A couple things I peeped that will make it easier for you....instead of deleting the kick snare etc at the beginning, you can drag the sound from the browser on top of it and it will replace it. Also when in the playlist you can copy and paste by highlighting the pattern(ctrl) then hold shift and drag the pattern and it will automatically copy and paste where you want to drop it. Hope that helps!
Busy Works Beats .TV I just wanted to say ima lyrical rapper, songwriter for a few artist. Working on a few albums and thanks to your tutorials I can produce beats now. Thanks for helping find things in me to open my line of success
Hi man, First thank you so much for all the knowlegde that you have been showing here on this channel. i leant a lot even though i have been making beats for more than 4 years now. you explain really well. Whoever is a beginner will get it right away Thanks a lot and great wok
the copy and paste with ctrl+c & ctrl+v will align to the grid. once you make the copy, if you drag it and bump it as far into the beginning of the track (bar 1) it will realign itself to the grid. i like your way as well, didnt know 12 could do that, great vid..
Ok, Ctrl + C is working, you just copied it over the existing patterns then with Ctrl + V. Then you drag it, that's ok, but it doesn't copy it just because you drag, that's moving it! If you want to copy, you can hold the Shift-Key and then drag it, this is duplicating the patterns you drag.
Money well spent here, I love the products. Was greatly hesitant before purchasing because I never touched FL in my life. Thanks for the great tutorial!
Just throwing this out there. I know it's fun to have all the percussion on one same pattern in the playlist even if they were created on separate patterns but I have learned the hard way that it is useful to have patterns in the playlist match the pattern name listed.
aye man respect on your videos you're very knowledgeable and get straight to the point and speak at a speed everyone can comprehend and go along with. thanks I've learn more about fruityloops in a technical aspect now. subscribed
If it's a loop, you will need to tell midi to retrigger the sample. Or your drums may be longer in sequence than your percussion, in that case, move your drums into a new pattern and add both into the playlist instead of compiling them into one big pattern.
this helps alot.. needed a refresh of the brain... I'm a rapper an trying to produce my own beats but needed help on how to use FL studio 12 a little better.. way different from 11 or 10
The copy and paste option is changed, because alot of times, in older versions, if you used ''ctr + c, c + z'' or did a lot of clicking and dragging, sometimes, by mistake, you overlapped stuff and it was impossible to see, tell.
I BEEN TO THE SITE AND IT DID NOT HELP ME WITH MY QUESTION...ALL IT DID WAS TRY GET ME TO SIGN UP. i JUST WANTED TO ASK A BASIC QUESTION AND HOPEFULLY GET A ANSWER ON HERE. HOW DO I ACCESS MY BEATS AND PRESETS IN THE BROWSER PLEASE?
you will need to import the folders which hold the presets and beats. You can use the file settings to choose the folder with your contents. Then refresh your browser
Hi, just a quick question. When i am writing a dnb beat at 180 bpm then add the piano roll beat, the piano is to fast. If i change the piano bpm to slower will that effect the bpm of the dnb beat and how do i set the 2 so they dont clash?
I just have to hold shift down, then left-click-drag to make a dupe on the timeline. If you select more than one with the select tool [ ] , it is a royal pain that you can't clone from the copy tool, but you need to select pencil or brush, then do as above. Let me know if you figure out how to paste/drag straight from the copy tool -> [ ] Thanks as well for helping me with the patterns.
It might have been said before but if you have patterns/notes selected just hit CTRL-B to copy and paste. It should paste right to the end of the selection. It works in Piano Roll and Playlist
Yo this video was amazing he one of the only people on UA-cam than i could find that explained how to make trap while showing how to some what use fl studio thanks man this video was a big help
I just wanna say thank you my man! I followed this and so far have a lovely beat. If youd like to hear it when im finished I would love to send you what you help create
Thank you so much for these videos! Cant tell you how much this helped me out! That instrumental beat you made for GOT INSTRUMENTALS called WHITE is fire!!!
Busy Works Beats .TV that beat is fire!! i play it all the time when im riding round town.. these tutorial videos are hands down the best tutorials. thank you again
Busy Works Beats .TV .. One last thing on that "White instrumental, in the middle of the song you break it down with a space air type feel and the volume goes down and then you bring it back and it just sets it off. how do you mix it to make it sound like that..?
A few tips:
Shift + Drag will duplicate.
Ctrl + B will duplicate in front of selection
Shift + Right Click will rename
+Anders W. Olsen middle click also renames
+YiHao Xie yeah, forgot that one since I really hate using that button :D
+Anders W. Olsen He did duplicate with that.
+Anders W. Olsen Good Grief thanks I was literally stuck on that part
Completely new into fl studio and I have to say your tutorials are insanely clear and usefull! Respect from Rotterdam

Ctrl+B is faster in my opinion
kapone815 Ctrl+B copies and pasts directly next to itself. the last not of the copied, and first note of the pasted are touching
Man that help alot when i get home im going to try it i like your video because you took one step at a time the beat was hot too you make it look easy now that i got FL i dont have to buy these niggaz wake ass beat

Just throwing this out there. I know it's fun to have all the percussion on one same pattern in the playlist even if they were created on separate patterns but I have learned the hard way that it is useful to have patterns in the playlist match the pattern name listed.
I've been producing for three years but it's still fun to watch Beginner's tutorials.

Appreciate your incredibly user friendly video. Love the way you teach bro. Amazing work.
is there a free x drums
busyworks has the best fl tutorials period
My problem start's at 16:45 - instead of highlithing, (ctrl+space), I keep on playing the pattern, what should I do?
you should use ctrl and left click instead of ctrl and space :)
You! The narrator/creator has a very comfortable voice, makes me wanna stay for this tutorial instead of any other.
what do you use to record your videos?
camtasia
I watched all of your tutorials in Trap version. I learned a lot! Great help man! You have godlike teaching skills! Haha
you should make a ASAP ROCKY Beat Tutorial in Fl Studio 12
Jamie knight He has a clams casino which is basically the same thing
I just have to hold shift down, then left-click-drag to make a dupe on the timeline. If you select more than one with the select tool [ ] , it is a royal pain that you can't clone from the copy tool, but you need to select pencil or brush, then do as above. Thanks as well for helping me with the patterns.
FL-EEK. I see what you did there ;)
It might have been said before but if you have patterns/notes selected just hit CTRL-B to copy and paste. It should paste right to the end of the selection. It works in Piano Roll and Playlist

Game, you can just drag your samples from the library
Trymates Dragging is to mainstream bruh
Loooool
Trymates The reason why he doesn't is because when you already have stuff in your Channel Rack you could accidently 'overwrite' another sample.
sIGHTcs correct, that happened to me too many times to risk it
Yo this video was amazing he one of the only people on UA-cam than i could find that explained how to make trap while showing how to some what use fl studio thanks man this video was a big help
