I enjoyed this conversation alot, but I am struggling with 1.Corinthians 15:5.. where Jesus shows himself to peter and then the 12.. It would be nice to think the 12th of Judas but hadn't Judas hung himself before post resurrection of Jesus? I believe in universal redemption in that In Christ Jesus God reconciled the world to himself. Therefore I believe Judas was included in the finished work of Christ, just can't see how Judas could of been present with the 12?? Can anyone help me understand this more please!
It is very possible that the 12 became a synonym of The Apostles distinguishing them from other groups of followers. In the counsel of Father this group of 12 ( government) was going to be completed inspite of Judas absence. This may not satisfy but it's worth putting before the Lord.
