Hey thanks for the video, I have managed to get my keystep to send midi to the OT but I cant record the notes or even change the parameters of the sample it seems that the key step is just sending triggers
Man, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get the OT to turn off the color in my room --like you did near the end of the video (9:20). That's so, like, so like, dope -bro-bruh! Screw color... B&W all the way!
Hi thanks for the video. I wonder if you know how to play another sample on the same track with the midi controller. I can only make it happen if I assign another sample to the track but then it change the sample in all patterns. I know how to change a sample per step but I would like to play it in live instead of step edit. I hope you understand what I mean and hope you've found out how to do it.
Wow man. Newbie here ;) I saw in the Elektron Update video (2years ago) about midi trig modes with the op1. Can i connect the op1 directly via usb into the Octatrack? Thanks in advance. Best, d
i assume midi is midi regardless of the input device, meaning using a pad controller like a MPD would function the same since midi is just midi..........
Very good jam at the end, interesting and inspiring thanks
This helped me get out of a octahole 🎉
Haha I think we’ve all experienced an octahole at one point or another. Glad it was helpful!

Loved your Video. Subscribed and is now thinking of getting the Octatrack MK2...
Enjoyed the music and appreciate the tip
Nice to have some tutorials and explanation about how did you able to control octatrack with an external keyboard. Thanks!
Thanks for this. I had been unsuccessfully trying and I obviously misunderstood the manual.
Thanks for this. Very helpful.

Nice explanation! But I don't know why my Octa receive Transport commands from Keystep... like Play, Mute etc. 😬
This is killer
Nice video and nice music 🙏
VEEEEERY USEFULL ! ! ! ! ! !
Glad you got something out of it :)

Can you assign other octaves to control other samples?

Hi Domenique, I don’t have an OP-1 so I can’t say for sure, but I think you would need a USB MIDI host since OT doesn’t transmit MIDI via usb.
@@JamesonNathanJones alright thank you man. 👊🏼🔥😎
are you able to record the midi
unlocked to the grid?
thank you for the video btw !

This guy is heavily in sativa
hi but the real question is whether you can sequence it by an internal midi track?
Yes you can loop the midi out and midi in ports 😊
Very useful bro. Thanks a lot. But why this way. Could not be more easy?! 🥲
That’s a common question we all ask of the Octatrack in general haha
