      Abis Ismael thanks mate ... I’m glad you noticed that... the top end isn’t nice to strip down. Too much wring and it can take an extra hour in the job....so I always avoid it. Especially when it’s cold and rainy. I tend to hide under the car as much as possible 😁

      @luisfernandoparramartinez81 5 років тому +1

      I was asking my self the same thing...

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  5 років тому +2

      Peter G long story short. It wasn’t fit for mobile purpose in the end. The set up was a bit long... I noticed unless it was on a perfect level ground it would wobble whilst I was getting gearbox in and out ... so I decided I was a lot more comfortable he old fashioned way. Two back wheels firmly in the ground and a couple of axle stands.
      I suppose it’s ok for small things like brake pads and servicing...
      And another let down was the height restrictions as move quite a lot under there ... so I gave it a thumbs down.

    Hey there, good job!
    What were the symptoms of a broken clutch? Cause I have lots of vibrations when switching from N to 1,2 or 3nd gear on my Mégane but only when its cold. The clutch pedal is also hard to push.
    Did you buy the kit with Dual Mass Flywheel or the one that transforms into a Single Mass?
    I can see you have used Valeo kit. Is it true that Valeo clutches are softer than SACHS? Even heard that LUK brand is not very responsible.

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  4 роки тому

      jakub melus I would never advise a solid conversion kit. There’s a constant vibration that may do your nuts in.
      What you are describing are definitely symptoms of the clutch system plus the DMF

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  5 років тому +2

      JoeNunes345 I’ll definitely won’t ever use Transmech.
      For European cars I’ll only use SACHS, LUK, VALEO and AP
      Vehicle from the far east I’ll only use AISIN and EXEDY
      Any other brands out there I’ve never gone close to them as i don’t know much about their quality ...

    • @JoeNunes345
      @JoeNunes345 5 років тому

      Thank you Kevin. That is exactly what I wanted you to say.
      I’ve got a mate that uses nothing but Transmech and we argue quite a bit about it. My opinion is that, it’s cheap for a reason.
      He likes the fact that he can buy a complete clutch kit for just over £30.
      I just think it’s not worth the chance.
      Thank you for your prompt reply and keep up the good work.
      Regards, Joe.

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  5 років тому +1

      JoeNunes345 the friction material on the Transmech usually feather away after about a year as the bonding agent that binds them are of very poor quality and disintegrate with heat..

    • @JoeNunes345
      @JoeNunes345 5 років тому

      Thank you for the valuable information. A decent clutch should be good for at least 50.000 miles, I would have thought.
      I can see all the car traders wanting to have Transmech fitted to their sale’s heaps 😂
      Unfortunately, some car owners are to blame, as they go on price alone and if it’s £20 cheaper they think they’ve got a bargain.
      You know what they say,
      ‘You Buy Cheap, You Buy Twice.’
      I’m glad I found your channel. You can count on 👍 from me on every video.

    Is the red thing lithium gress?

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  4 роки тому +3

      salih danışman it’s red rubber grease.
      It’s great to stop metal oxidisation in the case of the clutch will prevent dry rust which is a cause of accelerated clutch wear and tear

    Good job...💪 Renault had Bad ingénieur....they have lots of tricky parts

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  5 років тому +2

      gregos73 you are right. A bit over engineered especially on the wiring system.
      I avoid working from the top end where possible. Any disturbance can cause major wiring malfunction... headache 🤕🥳

    Thats a hard way to earn a living kevin ok now but in the future it will mess your back up big time have you thought about a small unit with a ramp in it i think everybody in the tradw would send you their clutch jobs as most dont want to do it

      Carl Southern I really appreciate your word of caution. Maybe one day I’ll afford a unit.... the financial cost for a start up and running of a small garage can amount to quite a bit ... maybe one day I’ll get to that stage.
