Regarding the first part of ur video. You do an absolutely great job of teaching. You are probably one of the best channels for people to learn from in terms of the western states. There’s a lot of videos about eastern states and trapping but it’s just not the same. Thank you again for all your hard work and dedication.
Can’t wait for the beaver videos. I want to thank you for being a great teacher. I really like learning from people like you who explain what you are doing.
Its amazing how just a little elevation can change fur ! I went to our association sale this weekend to get otters and cats tagged , and just look at other furs . My cats were way better than the others because they came from a higher elevation , but the fur handling was horrible !!! Guys dont realize that a comb and a box of borax will make you money ! You guys have beautiful cats and im jealous ! 😆 Im just a southern trapper with southern fur , but I try my d@mnde$t to do it justice ! The vids on finnishing cats would be great ! Thanks !
Great Video...Best you tuber I have seen...only been to OTC sale once, many years ago...been to the Fallon sale from 1984-2020....I do know something and you, Jeromy are real Good, wishing you the best
Great video Jeromy , your a great teacher and ambassador for the trapping community , look forward to the Beaver videos. You may have seen it but our Montana sale 2 weeks ago Coyotes avg. 25.96 , Hi was 76.26 , Bobcats avg. 376.21 , hi was 1,244.00 , Beaver 33.00 avg.
I love watching your videos. I was helping get Grandpa and Grandma's wood in today and then Grandpa and I watched your Fur Sale video. He loves watching your videoes too. He had a comment about Ermine after he saw the Ermine on the Sale Sheet. It was a fun story. Anyway, I am extremely proud of what you do with your videoes. They are both educational and entertaining. Really love it when Jack's involved. Can't wait to see the Bobcat and Beaver videoes. Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations on a beautiful season and all your videos. You did a great job sharing very valuable information. Our east coast prices are pennies on the dollar. Beautiful fur!!!
Boy I sure wish I had bobcats around here to trap, looks like you did really well on them, your coyotes brought about what I’ve been hearing that they’re bringing around here, thanks for giving us the update 👍
Correct on the Westside cats. 10 per tag and you can get more tags once filled. But western cats are usually smaller and hides are not as full and vibrant.
That sounds like you had a pretty good sale congrats on that. Its really strange that there is such a big difference in cats like that. How far are the two from each other to be so different. Our beaver season is over here in Indiana march 15. Be looking forward to your beaver videos. We always look forward to all your videos. You really are a great teacher of the craft. Congrats on your upcoming convention seminar i know you will do great. Sent you some pics until next time trap on be safe
Minnesota Rancher. Great work! I'm not a great fur putter upper. But if selling furs is like selling calves, talk to all the buyers you can. They may be able to save you time and effort. Give them what they want. Good luck in the future!
Awesome!! Ya, I’m on the west side of Oregon. Just started getting my feet wet in trapping again. Pretty sure, the west bobcat is unlimited. As well as river Otters. You just buy more tags. 😎💪🏻🇺🇸
I’ve never looked at fur handling like that, but I totally agree. I think you would have loved to see some of these cats at this sale. Some of these guys are great artist. I’ve never taken the time that I should compared to some of these guys. I’ve got room for growth for sure. Are you going to do a video on tanning your cats?
@Jeromy Cooley- Out West Adventures yessir I sure will. My coyotes came out really good, not quite as good as a tannery. The reason why is because when I do my final thinning. I'm using a knife instead of a Dakota wheel. They come out good, just not exceptional. The neck really is a problem area here because of tick bites.
Dang congrats I'd say you did great on your cats, I bet your coyotes would have been great to 3 years ago but still alot better than some people. Have fun beaver trapping .
UA-cam doesn’t like those of use who prefer the old ways of life. Hunting and Trapping, the but age limits on stuff and make it hard to turn a profit of your video creations. So Patreon is a way for creators to put there videos on. People can join for a few dollars a month. You can keep your videos private and show more stuff there. Show less of the skinning and blood type stuff on UA-cam. Thanks for all your hard work, I find trapping interesting.
Do you just whack the animals caught on leg-hold traps on their head with that ax handle? Do you not even shoot them? (I didn't see a gun anywhere in the video)
I don’t carry a gun on my trapline normally. I posted a short on how I dispatch my coyotes, but UA-cam censored it. You can see it if you go to my channel
After watching the 2022-23 fur market shake out, it seems there were honest buyers at your auction. I always wondered if the buyers were in cahoots with each other. When I was a kid there were always a few buyers that wanted furs for next to nothing. I saw some dumb bastards sell their catch at a low ball offer and except it. The look on their face was priceless. Idiots don't know it's just as easy to say "no sale", gather up and go find a reputable buyer. After watching and reading posts and videos in reference to selling furs on youtube and it is amazing what some of these chumps get away with.
you are WRONG buyers are NOT in cahoots...have been bidding fur at Fallon sales for over 30 years...NEVER wanted to let the other buyers even look at what I was buying...always did not want the other buyers to know what I wanted to bid on and what I paid for my bobcats..
I'm just wondering why people buy these furs. I'm only asking because my mom recently passed away and she had a bunch of mink stoles and stuff like that and basically I had to give it away people weren't buying it on Facebook marketplace or anywhere. And if they did it was dirt cheap. So I'm just wondering why people are buying these furs and what are they doing with them.
That sounds good to me. I’ll post a video when they are going to be ready. You can email me if you want to get on the list: outwestconstruction@hotmail.com
I’m sorry you’re misled in this topic. Ask any trapper how much money they are making… you’ll get the same answer from all of them. Far as predator control, I’m getting paid from ranchers to trap coyotes (predator control)
Regarding the first part of ur video. You do an absolutely great job of teaching. You are probably one of the best channels for people to learn from in terms of the western states. There’s a lot of videos about eastern states and trapping but it’s just not the same. Thank you again for all your hard work and dedication.
Wow Logan that means a lot. I appreciate the compliment. You are right about East and West.
I would agree with Logan. I appreciate the things you point out on how to read the land at many levels from the square miles to the square inches.
Can’t wait for the beaver videos. I want to thank you for being a great teacher. I really like learning from people like you who explain what you are doing.

Wow thank you! I appreciate that.
Just found your channel I used to trap when I was younger I broke my back at work so it's nice to watch your style and feel like I'm back out with you
That’s encouraging to hear, thanks

Thanks for sharing you do awesome job on your videos I really enjoy watching them

Thanks Frank. Those bobcats are pretty easy to catch… if you had them around you, you would have them all caught hhahahahhaah
Correct on the Westside cats. 10 per tag and you can get more tags once filled. But western cats are usually smaller and hides are not as full and vibrant.
Thank you for clarifying that! Great info
I've got to get over there and run some sets for bobcats. I've seen some huge ones while elk hunting
Well done, good for you. You get much more for your pelts down there than we get up here in Canada.
Thank you. I’m surprised that some of our fur is priced higher. I’m always jealous of those big fluffy Canadian coyotes…
Thank you for sharing! I can't wait to see your beaver trapping videos! Good luck with everything my friend!
Thank you Mark! Just set them out today…
thanks for the results up date!! glad you made some decent money..
Thanks Tom!
Thanks for showing us the fur sale. All of your videos you do a great job on editing. I wish my editing was a quarter of how good yours is.👍🏻
Thank you Chip. I’m no expert on editing, but I’m trying to learn. Thanks for your support!
Great Video, Hope all is well my friend!
Thanks Mike!
Appreciate All your Hard work Jeromy , Great job This Year 👍
Thank you. I appreciate your support
Congrats Jeremy. Great prices and season.
Thank you, I really had a lot of fun this year

Great haul brother! Looking forward to seeing your beaver catches 😁👍
Thanks Woody!
I'm interested in a coyote. Great job Jeromy 👍🏼
Sounds good. I’ll post a video when they are ready!

Thanks for the tips!
Congratulations on your year!
Thank you!!
I've used downie in a bucket of water to clean up bobcats , sure makes them pretty, nice and fluffy
Great tip!
Seemed to me it always brought more money, especially if your pelts were layer out next to a bunch of dirty pelts, good luck, and great vids
Great sale results Jeromy! I’m glad you had another good Coyote and Cat season buddy 😊🇺🇸🔥👏👏
Thanks Craig! I just set my first beaver sets today…
Great fur auction results 👍
Heck yeah! Thanks for watching
A bobcat fur handling video would be awesome! Coyote also
I would like to see the same.
I’ve got it in the works Brent. There is some guys that I know that we can all learn from. I’ll get them to do a video with me.
@@jeromycooley-outwestadvent5790 that’s awesome! Definitely want to learn more of the fur handling
Congrats on your fur!
Thank you!
Awesome!!

Thank you for that information. I thought that was the deal, but thanks for clarifying.
glad the sale went decent for you brother
Thanks Coffey!
I haven't watched may of your video, I am a new trapper this year. What is your main way of dispatching animals?
Here is a link to a video where I showed how I dispatch them: ua-cam.com/users/shortsGQXRWkZIOVE
Those are great prices for your cats. Fur handling is an art. I think I'm gonna hold all my poor little 8 cats and tan them.
I’ve never looked at fur handling like that, but I totally agree. I think you would have loved to see some of these cats at this sale. Some of these guys are great artist. I’ve never taken the time that I should compared to some of these guys. I’ve got room for growth for sure.

Glad you had a good sale, it does not surprise me that you are furs were above average. Looking forward to more
How did Jack do on his yotes?
Thanks John… Jack ended up with two coyotes, and he sold them for $15.50 each. He forgot to brush them and beautify them lol
Dang congrats I'd say you did great on your cats, I bet your coyotes would have been great to 3 years ago but still alot better than some people. Have fun beaver trapping .
Hahahahah you’re right… I’m a little too late for good coyote prices. Thanks for watching
I like your heeler. Typical loyal has to be with you.
Thank you. My daughter raises these heelers. We have 3 from the same male and female. They are very loyal
Are those sale averages per hide??
Yes

those are not too bad prices Jeromy ... wish they were like that all over North America ... except for your beaver castor ... that's really low !
Man… I thought the castor price was low too, but I haven’t been following the castor prices recently.
not bad on the sale . our coyotes here have no value this season . saw some go through the auction with no bidders .
Dang Dan. That’s too bad. How’s the beavers looking?
@@jeromycooley-outwestadvent5790 southern hatters brought 25 a blanket
Do you sell and ship??
This sale is pretty close to my home, so I just hauled them in to the sale. Thanks for watching
Can any o e attend these sells
Yes, the OTC will put out some information on how to reserve a spot at the sale.
How to contact you to get a tanned hive
Need some red paint
The fur buyers won’t even buy coyotes right now up here in BC Canada.
Wow, I always thought you guys had top shelf coyotes???
@@jeromycooley-outwestadvent5790 we do, but they say there is no demand and the auction houses are over stocked

Western Cats bought most of my fur. They always seem to be giving the best price they can. I have heard some stories about buyers though lol

Most of the market is overseas. I’m no expert. The popularity of fur has died for the most part in the USA
I wouls be interested in a coyote hide.
That sounds good to me. I’ll post a video when they are going to be ready. You can email me if you want to get on the list: outwestconstruction@hotmail.com
What the heck is a nutria?
That’s what I’m thinking too! Hahahahha I’ve never seen one. I’ve heard they are similar to a giant muskrat, but not as soft of fur
Coyotes aren't even worth starting the pick up this year up here in Canada hopefully canada goose quits recycling the fur
You’re right William
We got cats and yoteas no trap state lawless California what a waste good fir this year
Thanks for info but trapping all about money greed Got nothing to do with predators control

Not near enough money not by a long shot 20 to40 for a dog I used to get 150 red fox 80to150not even worth my time at all
I agree Mark!!
