I drove from Tucson overnight to see these geniuses at the Balasco Theater downtown LA 6 yrs ago. I'm 58, from Toledo OH and saw hundreds of shows in Detroit growing up. This is one of the top 3 I've ever seen! Very rare to have this much talent in one room at a time.

I'm an alcoholic, and every time I drink I listen to this song, and every time I listen to this song i end up drinking lol. I don't know what the psychology is that's going on there, but I like to think there's something positive in it. Maybe it makes me look at the way I will end up if I keep going the way I am.

Rock bottom is a strange concept for me. I have a system of checks and balances that i put in place before I drink that has been keeping me from getting there. Basically I am protecting myself from having that necessary experience. It's a weird circumstance that I am creating. I need to get that system out of my possession so that I can hit rock bottom.
This song is a lot like a book or an inkblot test. The way that someone interprets this song would say a lot about them. If you love the idea that they're getting rich of the same idiots they're making fun of, that says a lot about your character. If you relate to the song, that also says a lot. You don't have to relate completely. I think anyone who isn't exactly where they want to be in life would relate to this song to some degree. But, no matter which side you're on, it says a lot about your character, and it's mainly how you see yourself. That is just a fact. How you relate (or don't) to certain things will reveal a lot of your character. Now this isn't based in fact;however, if you just like the idea that Theory is getting rich off the idiots they're making fun of, I'm going to judge you as pretentious af and having a high (often over inflated) opinion of oneself. But that's just my own personal opinion, and you can judge me as being the hillbilly from which they're making money,, it's cool. Lmao

Best memory with this song...7-8 years ago we were on salmon fishing trip in Vancouver Island and after 2 weeks of constant fishing, at last night we went to a local bar in small town (Sidney nearby Victoria airport) and wanted to get totally pissed. There were practically nobody in the bar at the moment, but DJ was in the house...dance floor was also empty. I went to DJ and asked him to play "Lowlife" for finnish fisherman, so i could hear real canadian music to finish our great trip to canada. He found this song after long search and set it on fire...i went straight on the dance floor and started to sing and dance like the last day of my life (my friends called me the "dance floor windmill" in my younger years) ...and nobody else were there on big empty space. Then suddenly 2 pretty nice woman come from nowhere on the floor to dance with me and i were thinking "wow, now we are getting somewhere with this evening"...but after few seconds of dancing this other girl ask me: "did you ask for this song???"...i said: "YES! YES! YES! It was my song, this is the best canadian music". She said: "Yes, right, i should have known you did"...and they both left immediately from the dance floor :D :D But i finished the song alone :D So, Lowlife didnt work out that time for me :D But this Song does it every time when day is not that great and everything is FKD up :)
