also the little truck included is usually called either a yard dog or shunt truck, which i just so happen to be sitting in one watching this waiting to move containers around
They still sell the plastic RC track in stores today. I have videos with links on my channel. This set did not have them. I have track from other trains that I used for this video but you can find lots on eBay, parts on Bricklink of the sets of track in the Lego store, Walmart, target, etc:)
I bought one of these used and it was missing some of the stickers. I have since bought the sticker sheet for it on Bricklink but I still haven't put them on yet as I hate putting stickers on. I'm also worried they will peel of as where I live in Australia it's very hot and humid and I have this happening all the time.😀👍
That is an awesome train and that blue color is fantastic. I just bought my first train set that I can actually run, ready to go, used set# 60051. Now I'm jelly of that Maersk, looks too good.
this set was my white whale that i’ve been wanting since it came out. i bought a sealed one about 9 months ago and another used out of box one about a month ago. i want to have them both as one train with engines facing either direction, pulling all 4 cars, plus one MOC car i made replicating the maersk ones, only in grey and white instead of the grey and blue. i just need to make some space on my display for i build them because it will be one heck of a unit
That is awesome!! I never thought to use the two locos back to back even though I see it in real life all the time. That will be one unit and need a lot of space. Cool stuff!!
I am looking for this set and sealed it looks like it is starting at the $500.00 mark (if the box is unopened and is not smashed. Wish I was collecting Lego when this came out. Would have bought two sets to run with two engines, one powered and one dummy. Would give me twice the number of cars to run behind it as well. Can the motor pull an extra engine and four cars or would that be too heavy? Wish Lego would make more American style engines steam/diesel with motors. Great video, enjoyed it a lot.
Thank you for the comment. I’m glad you enjoyed the video! I think one RC motor Can pull a second locomotive and 4 cars. If it’s in a circle then maybe not but it should be able to on a large oval or a square ish loop. Too many curves at once will limit it
@@leggomyjameso6082 Yes, I found someone in France selling them for a "ok" price, might get them from there, the bricks I'm sure is hidden somewhere. But how 2 of the tubes just disappeared I don't get. But that is the wonder of having a traveling job and kids..
@@pastajensen I have had tubes missing on other trains and it is always strange. I have also bough parts internationally when the price is right! I wonder what will happen to my Lego collection when I have kids haha
@@leggomyjameso6082 Hopefully they will be creative :D I just wish mine (and especially the one friend that "accidentally" crashed my Mærsk train) would treat some of the sets a bit more friendly.
@@pastajensen that’s why the ceiling train is nice because it’s out of reach haha. If I’m ever playing with the trains with friends and family I use ones that I don’t mind if they get wear and tear. So not the Maersk lol

That is awesome! I have never driven one or a semi and want to learn someday.
Thanks for the great video. Where do you get the train tracks? I bought my set used so not sure if they were to come with the set?

Heat and humidity kills the Lego stickers! It is good you bought a spare sticker sheet though. You can use the extras to build more containers!

That set should be a lot of fun! Any running train set is amazing. You will have this one someday. Thank you!!

I recently reassembled this train, so far I miss 1 Mærsk Blue plate for the truck, but worser I do miss 2 of the tubes..
Ahh that is unfortunate. You can buy them but I know they are pricy

So sad to see how great the cargo train looked 10 years back. The current ones are just bad...
@@DIYglenn this one was amazing! Maybe one day we will get another container one like this. This was for adults 👍 we need more haha
